Mickey's Toontown Fair

This land closed on February 11, 2011
to make way for the expanded Fantasyland

This land, previously called Mickey's Birthdayland and Mickey's Starland is now called Mickey's Toontown Fair. The fiar consists of several "houses" and tents. Including Mickey's, Minnie's and Donald's. There is one real attracion here, the Barnstormer, which is a mini rollercoaster. The rest of the area consists of meet and greet oportunities and photos around the houses.

Geek's Thoughts & Suggestions

The best time to visit this area is in the late afternoon/early evening. We have had extraordinary luck and hit very short lines that time of day. It seems throughout the day this area is mobbed with the stroller set, which makes sesnse. Also note if there is a nice walkway to Tomorrowland that goes near the train track, its a peaceful way to see the park (take the train from Main Street to Toontown and then take the path to Tomorrowland or walk through Toontown to Fantasyland).

Overall I was not that impressed with this area. Originally the area consisted of the large tent when it was the Birthdayland, then more tents and finally the houses were added as the land became more permanent. After experiencing Toontown @ Disneyland this area really seems cramped and just sort of there (which it is). I have heard several rumors of changes coming, but nothing has been announced or really moved beyond a rumbling...
