Frontierland

Frontierland offers a variety of attractions ranging from the kids favorite of Tom Sawyer's Island with its caves and fort to explore to the Country Bear Jamboree. If your into Disney Mountains there are two in this land Big Thunder Mountain and Splash Mountain. Also there are some great viewing locations as the parade route goes through the main street too.

Geek's Thoughts & Suggestions

If you want to ride the mountains and do not want to wait go on them in the early morning hours, use fastpass, or late evening because during the day the lines get extremely long most of the time.

A nice place to let kids run around is Tom Sawyer Island and if you stay by the dock they can't get off the island without going by you or swimming off(in which case Disney security will catch them for you). Tom Sawyer Island is also one of the TechnoGeek's favorite places because the caves are fun places to use night vision (found on most newer camcorders and never used) and two-way radios.

A nice place to escape the heat and enjoy a good show is the Country Bear Jamboree. Frontierland also offers some great vistas for the parades. The parades start/end near Splash Mountain and cut through the land.

One of my all time Favorite Disney Attractions, the Country Bear Jamboree, is located here. They are currently running the original version of the show and a holiday version. One nice addition I noticed recently is the wait time until the next performance is on a digital clock near the entrance to help you plan.
