11/08/19 9.3 19,715 10 Arrived at the Disneyland Resort just after lunch and only encountered a slight delay in the parking structure being directed into a row and spot (no delays at the toll booth or ramp today). After parking on the roof of Mickey and Friends took a quick look at the tram stop and elevator projects then walked through security and boarded a tram to the parks. First park today Disney California Adventure. Upon entering the park tried to pick up a FastPass for World of Color using MaxPass, they were all gone. Then tried to get a small world one and the return time was too early. Strolled up Buena Vista Street checking out some of the Holiday decorations then around Carthay Circle. Continued up the festival corridor taking a quick look at the marketplaces and met up with some friends near Cars Land. Took a look around Radiator Springs then walked out to Paradise Gardens for Disney Viva Navidad. After the show walked through Paradise Gardens and then took a walk through Grizzly Recreation Area. Returned to Paradise Garden Park and watched a performance by the Sound then the Holiday Toy Drummers. After their performance made our way to Hollywood Land to see what was going on there, circled the Collectors Fortress area then the Backlot before heading back up the performance corridor to find a spot for Mickey's Happy Holidays. Followed the procession to Carthay Circle to see a second showing then decided to grab a bite to eat at Smoke Jumpers Grill. After eating made my way across the Esplanade and into Disneyland. Wandered around Main Street USA and the hub on my way to it's a small world holiday to use a FastPass that I picture up earlier. While in line to board the lights came on for the evening (missed the audio due to the Disneyland Railroad passing by). After my cruise returned to Main Street USA and found a spot for A Christmas Fantasy Parade. Made our way into Tomorrowland and rested for a bit before catching the openin moments of the Holiday Dance Party at Tomorrowland Terrace. Walked back out to it's a small world with the goal of seeing the projection show, it did not run. Headed for Sleeping Beauty Castly and caught the Wintertime Enchantment moment at 7:30pm. Then headed for DCA and the goal of the 8pm Phat Cat Swinger Concert. Arrived in the area just before 8pm and just as the band wrapped up their performance! The showtime had changed to 7pm and I did not catch that. So we missed the show and had an extra hour. Hung out in the wharf area and some grabbed a snack from Ghirardelli. Then we strolled through Cars Land to see the holiday lights before returning to Disneyland for Believe in Holiday Magic. After the fireworks headed back across the Esplanade for World of Color: Season of Light. After the walked through Grizzly Recreation Area back to Buena Vista Street and out to the trams. Found the rest of my group in the hub and we waited for rope drop. Joined the mass moving quickly to Fantasyland. Waited just under 20 minutes for Peter Pan and then walked onto Mr. Toad, Casey Jr, Storybook Land Canal Boats, Tea Cups and Small World. We then ventured out into Toontown to take a look around. Some of the group went for a couple trips on the Go Coaster. It was approaching 10am as we made our way back to Main Street and headed for DCA. Along the way I stopped by the Cinema and picked up a digital FastPass for Toy Story. They picked up FastPasses for Soarin Over California and then we headed out to Paradise Park. Some paid Ariel a visit then we split up with some heading for single rider at Radiator Springs Racers and the rest to Pixar Pier. I used a FastPass for Toy Story that I picked up digitally earlier. Then some went for a spin on the Critter Carousel before we continued around Pixar Pier. It was nearing time for their Soarin FastPass so most of the group headed that way and I took a look at the Marvel Construction then walked around Hollywood Land. Met up with the group at Smokejumpers for lunch. After lunch we all headed to Hollywood Land. Took in a showing of Philharmagic and then some went to hold a spot in line for Disney Jr and I spent some time in the Animation Building before joining them. After the show we made our way to Cars Land and went for a spin on Mater's Junkyard Jamboree. Thought about Luigis but the line was longer than my patience so instead we took a a look around Radiator Springs then made our way out to Paradise Gardens Park for Tale of the Lion King. After the show the group went for a second visit under the sea with Ariel and I walked out to the Emotional Whirlwind to get some pictures. Then met them at Ghirardelli. They continued to eat and I made my way over to Disneyland and found a spot for the 5:15pm All-American College Band performance. Watched them in Town Square then on Main Street USA. Stopped by the Tomorrowland Terrace for a bite to eat and then some went for a drive on the Autopia. We watched the end of Soundsational and then found a spot for the 6:45pm All-American College Band set in front of the Castle. After their performance headed for the tram, car and home.

6/07/19 10.2 21,545 9 Arrived at the Mickey and Friends Parking Structure just after lunch and had a slow crawl up the ramp to a parking spot today. Took a look at the Pixar Pals Parking Structure then walked over to Downtown Disney. Stopped by the ticket booths to renew my annual pass then decided to head for Disney California Adventure first. Strolled up Buena Vista Street and out to Paradise Gardens Park. Had some time so took a walk around the Pixar Pier, the Pal-A-Round wait was longer than I had time for so skipped it, and continued around the Pier. Took a quick walk through the Pacific Wharf and through Cars Land before returning to Paradise Gardens Park to watch the Tale of the Lion King show. After the performance made my way back to the front of the park and over to Disneyland. Took a look around Main Street USA and the hub before heading into Tomorrowland. Walked by Pizza Planet then caught up with some friends. We all walked out and went for a cruise on it's a small world. Afterwards strolled through Fantasyland. Some of the group went for a spin on Dumbo since it had a short wait. Continued on through the Big Thunder Trail and New Orleans Square on our way to Critter Country. My friends had Star Wars reservations so said good bye as they set off for Batuu then I circled back through New Orleans Square and through Adventureland back to Main Street USA. Decided to return to DCA and grab a bite to eat at Smokejumpers. After eating walked through Grizzly Recreation Area and back to Paradise Gardens Park to catch the last performance of Tale of the Lion King for the day. Decided to go for a spin on the Pal-A-Round (about a 15 minute wait only). Once back on the ground walked back through the park and out to Hollywood Land. Took a look around and then headed for Grizzly Airfield and a Soarin FastPass. After my flight returned to Disneyland. Wandered around Main Street USA and eventually ended up in Tomorrowland. Went for a round trip voyage on the Monorail then spent some time catching up on emails and posts before returning to Main Street USA to find a spot for Disneyland Forever. After the fireworks returned to the tram, parking structure, my car and headed for home.

6/03/19 10.8 22,960 11 Arrived at the Disneyland Resort just after 7am and found the Ball Road overpass open and no cars waiting at several of the parking tollbooths within the Mickey and Friends Parking structure. I was quickly directed into a spot on the roof against the center opening on the escalator side of the structure. No waits at security nor to board a tram. The group I was with stopped for a bite to eat at Starbucks since it was only 7:30am and the parks did not open until 8am. The Disneyland queues were out past the Monorail beam but Disney California Adventure had no queue since they had already let guests onto Buena Vista street when we arrived about quarter till. Walked right into the park and strolled up Buena Vista Street. A large number of guests were lined up heading toward Cars Land and another group toward Guardians. Grizzly Peak was open so we walked that way and into Soarin Over California (yes it is back for a limited time). Had to wait one cycle then was directed to the right and onto the attraction. After disembarking it was just after 8am and we made our way out to Pixar Pier. We walked right onto Toy Story, only pausing to pick up glasses and wait for the next tram to board then did the same for the Pal-A-Round followed by the swings. It was just after 9am and we decided to head for Disneyland. The park was as quiet as DCA. Wandered around Main Street USA and then Sleeping Beauty Castle before heading to Fantasyland. Waited under 10 minutes for Alice in Wonderland then under 5 minutes for Mr. Toad. Took the Big Thunder Trail to Frontierland and went for a cruise on the Mark Twain Riverboat then walked into Adventureland and cruised the Jungle. Walked through New Orleans Square and took the train to Toontown station. It was 11:30 so some stopped for a bit to eat then we walked to Tomorrowland and the rest of us ate there. A little after noon made our way to the Star Wars Launch Bay to check in for Galaxy's Edge. It only took a couple minutes and we just kept on walking the entire time. After checking in caught a performance by the Disneyland Band in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle and followed them to Town Square. Made our way out to Critter Country by way of Frontierland and New Orleans Square. Found a table to relax a bit at the Hungry Bear. Around 1:20pm we noted they started to scan guests in for the 2pm Galaxy's Edge entry so we joined the queue. Again it went quickly and we were walking under the train trestle and into Galaxy's Edge in a matter of minutes. We were near the front of the mass that gathered. They held the group just shy of the Rise of the Resistance entry. About a quarter to 2:00 they started to slowly march us into the land. They directed everyone along the outside of the Marketlpace and around to where the 1st Order area is. At this point a large part of the group went right to form a queue for the Cantina. I followed the group heading toward the center of the land and Smuggle's Run, entered the queue at 1:52pm. The wait was posted at 25 minutes but we walked almost the entire queue without stopping and paused for one group before entering the first preshow room. I was exiting the building at 2:18pm so it was 26 minutes from entry to exit. I spent the next hour roaming around Black Spire Outpost checking out the shops and food areas as well as walking back to check out the Resistance forest area. Went for a second flight at 3:31pm entering the single rider queue. Exited the building at 3:55pm. Spent about a half hour circling Black Spire Outpost and visiting the couple stores I did not make it into on the first pass (since there were queues then). At 4:30pm decided to go for a third flight. This time in the stand by queue. I was out in the Black Spire Outpost by 4:51 so only 20 minutes this time. Walked to the edge of the Marketplace to watch the entry march of the 5:00pm reservation block. Spent some time visiting with friends and taking a final look around. We left via the Critter Country entrance at 5:49pm. Strolled through New Orleans Square and decided to grab a bite to eat at the Stage Door Cafe and ended up eating inside a nearly empty Golden Horseshoe. After eating made our way to Main Street USA and the group stopped for ice cream. Around 7pm traffic looked to be clearing so we headed for the front of the park and a tram back to the parking structure to find the car and head for home.

28 280.1 164 Totals

Archives of previous year's trips.

Note: These totals may be skewed because the pedometer is zero'd when we start and then left alone and read when we leave. So attractions, and other things may cause extra "steps" to be counted. The pedometer that we use basically measures up/down motion as a step, so if your standing in line and moving up and down it may be counting steps, etc.. so the total distances traveled and steps may be off.. so use these as rough distance comparisons between trips and they may not be accurate in terms of actual distance traveled.
