4/06/18 9.1 24,163 9 Arrived at the Disneyland Resort just after lunch. Found the Ball Road overpass closed so had to sit through a couple lights before reaching the garage. No other parking delays today. Took a look at the Star Wars and Parking Structure Construction then boarded a tram for the parks. Made my way into Disney California Adventure and strolled up a busy Buena Vista Street and Parade Route to Paradise Pier. Walked out by Toy Story Midway Mania then around to Paradise Gardens before catching a performance by Phat Cat Swinger. After their set saw the Jammin Chefs then retraced my steps to the park entrance and headed for Disneyland. Spent some time roaming around Main Street USA as I made my way into the park. Noticed the Mark Twain pulling into port so headed that direction and went for a cruise. Once back on land took the Big Thunder Trail to Fantasyland. Circled the area and continued on to the Small World Mall and out to Toon Town. Walked around the Matterhorn and return to Main Street USA. Stopped by the Opera House to see this year's Environmentaility Art Finalists then headed across the Esplanade to grab a bite to eat at Smoke Jumpers. Returned to Disneyland for the Flag Retreat then walked up Main Street and out to Tomorrowland to take some Monorail Pictures. Walked around the area then decided to take a stroll through Downtown Disney (the Monorail wait was 2-3 trains so I skipped it). Walked through Downtown Disney and enjoyed some of the entertainment then noticed a short wait at the Monorail there so took that back to the park. Strolled through Adventureland and thought about using an Indiana Jones FastPass I had but decided to skip it and use the last moments of light to take some more pictures. Walked along the Rivers of America and out to Splash Mountain to see some testing then a look at the Star Wars Construction from Critter Country. Wandered back through New Orleans Square and Adventureland. Returned to DCA and strolled down Hollywood Blvd to the Backlot area then took Sunset to Bugs Land. Took some pictures then continued on to Cross Street in Cars Land and followed Lightning McQueen to the Cozy Cone. Walked up Route 66 and took a left to the Wharf. Stopped for some chocolate before continuing out to Paradise Pier and Paradise Gardens to listen to the band there for a while. Returned to Disneyland and paid a final visit to the Auction Scene before it closes later this month to be altered. Then made my way back to Main Street USA and found a spot for Remember Dreams Come True. After the fireworks took a tram back to the parking structure, found my car and headed for home.

Decided to grab something to eat from the Pacific Wharf Cafe and eat it at Flo's with a view of Ornament Valley. After eating returned to Paradise Pier and used a FastPass for Toy Story then caught some of the 6pm Food & Wine Festival presentation on the Palisades stage. Returned to Disneyland and made my way into Tomorrowland. Thought about taking the Monorail but there was a couple train wait and the sun was setting quickly so passed on that. 3/09/18 9.8 25,935 9.5 Arrived at the Disneyland Resort just after lunch and found a very large backup at the Mickey and Friends Parking Structure. Cars were backed up from the parking level all the way back through the toll booth. It took nearly 20 minutes to park and there were only 4 cars in front of me at the booth. After finally being directed into a spot on the Daisy level I hiked up to the roof and spent some time look at the Star Wars and Parking Structure projects. Then I joined the crowd in line for security and the trams at the new/temporary tram stop. First park today, Disney California Adventure to check out the Food and Wine Festival. Walked back down the parade route and through Bugs Land to reach Hollywood Land and returned to the stage to see the Jr Chef presentation. Afterwards took Hollywood Blvd back to Buena Vista Street and out to the Wharf. Stopped by Ghirardelli and then the Cafe to grab something to eat. Took my food to Cars Land and ate with a view of Ornament Valley. After eating walked around Cars Land before returning to Hollywood Land for the Festival Favorites. Then made my way to Disneyland. Arrived on Main Street USA just before Flag Retreat so found a spot for the ceremony. After the retreat strolled up Main Street USA checking out some of the new brick work. Then made my way into Frontierland. The Mark Twain had just left so detoured to Adventureland and hiked the tree house before returning to the dock to board the Mark Twain. After my cruise took the Big Thunder Trail to Fantasyland and then continued on to Toon Town. Visited the Miss Daisy then walked back to Main Street USA and returned to California Adventure oto see the Culinary Demonstration in Paradise Park. Made my way out to Paradise Gardens to listen to the group at the Band Stand then returned to Buena Vista Street to meet a friend. We did a lap of the Festival. Starting in Hollywood Land and then back out to Paradise Gardens. Made a FastPass reservation for Haunted Mansion as we walked toward Disneyland. Stopped by Pirates of the Caribbean for a cruise then arrived at the Haunted Mansion to use our FastPasses. Made it almost to the boarding area and the attraction went down. We were evacuated out the door by the load area which let us out near the FastPass Distribution area. They gave everyone a multi experience FastPass good on any attraction in the park except Peter Pan. So we headed for Fantasyland to use it for Alice in Wonderland. When we arrived all was quiet, Alice was down. I opted to head for the exit at this point to be ahead of the Fantasmic and World of Color exit crowds. Boarded the first tram that pulled up and headed back to the structure to find my car and head for home.

After their set wanted to visit Pirates but it was down so instead wandered out to Critter Country and hung out there a while. Spend some time in New Orleans Square and then decided to check out the stand by areas for Fantasmic. Did a first pass and several had guests sitting still, it was about 20 minutes till show time. So went back to New Orleans Square and then did a second pass. 8 68.3 71.5 Totals

Archives of previous year's trips.

Note: These totals may be skewed because the pedometer is zero'd when we start and then left alone and read when we leave. So attractions, and other things may cause extra "steps" to be counted. The pedometer that we use basically measures up/down motion as a step, so if your standing in line and moving up and down it may be counting steps, etc.. so the total distances traveled and steps may be off.. so use these as rough distance comparisons between trips and they may not be accurate in terms of actual distance traveled.
