Disney Water Parks

Disney World has grown to include three water parks. Each park has its own theme and personality. These are great places to escape the Florida humity, but remember thousands of others will have the same idea... also pack plenty of sun screen or else you will get burned....

Disney offers three water parks, each with their own unique identity.

The next largest and oldest park is Typhoon Lagoon. Here you will find one of the largest wave pools in the world and several water slides and activities to keep you busy. The wave pool is so large they offer surfing lessons and have surfing competitions their regularly.

The largest and newest waterpark is Blizzard Beach. Here you will find more slides than the other two parks combined. Also they are much longer, steeper, etc… than the other parks.

Closed in 2003:
The oldest and smallest park is River Country. This park is located in Fort Wilderness and is supposed to be modeled after "the ole' swimmin' hole".
