Blizzard Beach |
After spending time at Blizzard Beach no other ordinary waterpark will do. The back story on the park is that there was a freak winter storm in Florida, so they created a ski resort. The snow melted and the place was turned into a waterpark. The only thing I did not like about the park is its location. When going to Typhoon Lagoon or even River Country the water park is sort of off by itself and hidden away a little which I think adds to the park. Blizard Beach is located right along side a road and in plain site. The park really doesn't have to be in that location. The slides are much more impressive than the other Disney water parks. The main pool is not as large as Typhoon Lagoon's, but it works. The other thing we did not like about Blizzard Beach is that there was not as much shade as the other water parks. You always felt like you were standing out in the sun. They had umbrella's up along the lines but they didn't help too much.

The Geek's Suggestions |
If you are going to go, GO EARLY. The lines
get extremely long and it seems like by around eleven the park is
at capacity. In the opening hour or so you can get on almost all
the attractions and many several times usually. The only thing is
that the hike up the mountain gets very tiresome and boring after
a while, and the chairlift is way to slow. I would rate this park
as a must see, the best Disney Water park so far...... |
