Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge opened at Disney's Hollywood Studios on August 29, 2019. Black Spire Outpost consisting of the marketplace, dining, and Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run Attraction were ready on opening day. The signature attraction, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance did not open until December 5, 2019. When you visit Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge you are transported to the planet of Batuu for your Star Wars Adventure. You can explore the Black Spire Outpost, avoid the First Order, eat, shop, pilot the Millennium Falcon and join the resistance on a mission. |

Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge is an immersive land within the park. Once you step foot onto Batuu you are taken into a Star Wars Story. The land houses two attractions plus several shops and dining options. The signature attraction is Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance which is one of the best experiences Imagineering has ever created. Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run allows you a chance to pilot the famous spacecraft. I found this attraction to not be as strong. For more on this visit my Disneyland first impressions of Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run, the attraction is identical here at Walt Disney World and my thoughts are the same on it. If you are a Star Wars fan you will really find it interesting what they have created and how you can step into the Star Wars world. If you are not a Star Wars fan you will still be impressed with the scale and level of detail of the land. It is beyond just about everything at Walt Disney World. |
