Disney's Hollywood Studios - Hollywood Boulevard |
Hollywood Boulevard is to the Studios what Main
Street is to the Magic Kingdom. It serves as the entrance way to
the park. As you stroll down the boulevard from the entrance plaza
you are drawn towards a replica of the Mann's Chinese Theater. (well
actually now a giant blue hat that blocks the view). This impressive
structure at the end of the boulevard houses one of the best rides
in the Studios, the Great Movie Ride. You are transported right
into the middle of movie scenes from some of Disney's and MGM's
greatest classics. This attraction combines several audioanimatronic
figures along with several film and video clips. This attraction
is a must see. Lining the boulevard are several shops. If your looking
for a gift from the studios you can probably find it along the boulevard. |
Geek's Thoughts & Suggestions |
Even though the Great Movie Ride is looking rather dated I think its still worth visiting this attraction. Be sure to keep an eye on the line, as many times of the day its a near walk on... so if you see a long wait try back later. As for shopping on the boulevard, its usually not too bad except around parade time, during a thunderstorm, or at closing.
