Disney's Animal Kingdom - Rafiki's Planet Watch

Rafiki's Planet Watch takes you behind the scenes at Disney's Animal Kingdom. You are no longer on your African Safari, or Asian dig. You are seeing the backhouses for the animals on the savanna, the vetrinary hospital and operating rooms. You are learning directly about conservation, not included in a show or attraction. You can actually touch and pet animals here where as you cannot in the rest of the park. So its a unique place within the park.

Some can spend hours here, others after 5 minutes your ready to catch the train back.

Geek's Thoughts & Suggestions

I think its worthwhile to come experience this section of the park. The glimpses backstage are interesting. The vet facilities are incredible and the area is done really well. The major complaint I have is, why isn't the train station closer to everything. You have a nice hike once disembarking. Second wish I have is if they would post a schedule of scheduled procedures either at the Harambe side or somewhere so you don't trek all the way out there in hopes of seeing something only to realize you have to come back in an hour or two to see it.
