Wildnerness Lodge and Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge

The Wilderness Lodge is a great resort. The theming is incredible. If you really want to be secluded to have the illusion of being secluded this is a great resort for that.

The main fault we have found with this resort is that getting to and from it can be a bit tedious and long. You have to take the bus everywhere, except the Magic Kingdom, which has boat service.

The Wilderness Lodge grew a new wing in the 1990s called the Wilderness Lodge Villas, which are a vacation club property located right next to the resort.

The Geek's Thoughts & Suggestions

If you get a chance visit this resort. The lobby is really impressive and the architecture is incredible, just like the rest of Walt Disney World. Another claim about this resort is that you should not be able to see a palm tree from it. There are also regular geyser eruptions throughout the day.

We highly recommend checking out the villas. Their Spike Room features a lot of Walt Disney train history, through pictures and a couple of Walt's miniture railway cars.
