Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground

I am not really into camping so I have no clue as to whether or not this is a good campground. I do know that if you enjoy camping this is the place to try in WDW. Fort Wilderness also has the Hoop-Dee-Do dinner show which was really good. Seating is very limited so if you want to go to this show you have to book really early (sometimes almost a year in advance). The food at the show is really good it consists of American favorites (Fried Chicken, Beans, Corn on the Cobb, etc....).

The Geek's Thoughts & Suggestions

Take an afternoon and go to the campgrounds. Walk around, go horseback riding, or rent a boat, then go to the dinner show. It was really a nice way to spend the afternoon and evening. Just be sure to allow enough travel time, some of the bus routes are rather long.

For a moderatly priced meal I'd recommend the Trails End Buffetaria. We really enjoyed our meal there and thought the price was fair compared to other dining options around WDW. In 2008 it was $12.99 for the all you can eat lunch, which includes softdrinks.
