"To all who come to this happy place... WELCOME Disneyland is your land. Here age relives fond memories of the past... and here youth may savor the challenge and promise of the future. Disneyland is dedicated to the ideals, the dreams, and the hard facts that have created America... with the hope that is will be a source of joy and inspiration to all the world." --Walter E. Disney (July 17, 1955) Disneyland is my favorite Disney park, it is the original and has many of Walt's touches. I enjoy going there so much that I have an annual pass. Many people ask which is better Disneyland or WDW? Check out our comparison on this in the "Other Section".

Geek's Suggestions |
The key to a successful day at Disneyland for me is to avoid as many lines as humanly possible. This can be done on most days. Two things can help you get through the day. One is to manage time carefully. If possible, be there when the park opens. Disneyland will fill up quite fast. During the day when the lines are longest do your shopping and see the live entertainment and less popular attractions. Then in the evening go back to the popular attractions you missed. The second is to take advantage of Disney's FastPass system. If used properly it can save you a lot of time. Check out the planning section for more information and tips. Under the not to be missed category I would put Fantasmic, Remember, and the Indiana Jones Adventure. These are three quality experiences that you will only find at Disneyland. (I know Fantasmic is in WDW, but the Disneyland version is sooo much better). Other attractions that should not missed are the classics Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion, Small World, and the Jungle Cruise. For those of you who like thrill rides be sure to ride all the Disney mountains and Star Tours. |
