Trip Log:
Walked from Yacht Club over to the Studios.
Saw Beauty and the Beast and then Little Mermaid (walked
around the park between the two shows). Then bussed over
to Contemporary to meet some of our group who went fishing.
Walked around the Contemp, grabbed a quick bite, then
over to the Magic Kingdom. Road the train around and got
a fastpass for Pooh. Walked over to see Hall of Presidents.
After the show took the Lilley Belle around. Saw the Share
a Dream Come True parade. Went and road Pooh. Then walked
back to Monorail station and took it over to the TTC then
over to EPCOT. Found out there is no bus from EPCOT to
Downtown Disney running, so took a bus to MGM then one
to Downtown Disney for the evening. Ate at Fultons then
over to Disney Quest. Then bussed back to Boardwalk and
walked back to Yacht club to call it quits for the night.
Thoughts & Observations:
- We split up to start the day. Half the group over to the Contemporary
for a 10am fishing, and the other half to finish up the attractions
at the Studios. One problem with the late park openings is making
it to early fishing times at Bay Lake. With the Magic Kingdom
opening at 9am most of the days that means busses do not start
till 8am. First round of fishing is at 7 or 8am. So they had to
go on the second one. Or pay for a cab ride (we opted for the
later time)
- Visited the MK after and there were healthy lines at most attractions.
We got a fastpass for Pooh just so it would be fresh in my mind
to compare to Disneyland's version that opens this Spring... I
was unimpressed again by it. Young kids seem to love it but to
me its missing something, not sure what... I like Peter Pan and
Mr. Toad but this just seems no where near it, but the lines are
just as long...
- Caught the Dream Come True parade in the MK... I was surprised
to see it no longer stops and performs. It just kept rolling by
(and I was in the middle of Frontierland, where it should have
stopped).
- We had some time to dinner(Fultons) and had not ridden the monorail
to EPCOT (always a crowd favorite) so we decided to do that and
then take the bus from EPCOT to downtown Disney. Of course we
got to EPCOT and there was no bus running to DD. So we bussed
to the Studios and then caught another bus to DD.
- Spent some time in DisneyQuest after dinner, still a fun place
to hang out for a bit. I learned that the park hoppers plus features
no longer include DisneyQuest. So basically your plus features
are only the water parks(of which Typhoon Lagoon and River Country
were closed when we were there) and Pleasure Island.
