Trip Log:
Cab to Magnolia, Golfed, back to Yacht
Club.
Started off heading for MGM walked over to get FastPass
for Indiana Jones, then went to Animation tour. Followed
by the Backstage tour then a walk through Sunset Blvd
and over to catch the Indy show. Then through the Osborne
lights and a quick dinner. Walked to the Boardwalk then
took the Boat to EPCOT. Another member of party wanted
some food from China so a hike over there then met back
at the tree. Road the new Journey into your Imagination
ride, not bad. Then back to the Yacht club to end the
day.
Thoughts & Observations:
- Started out this Thursday Golfing first thing at the Magnolia.
The area recieved a couple of inches of rain overnight and upon
arrival at the golf course they said we could play the first
3 holes and then decide if its too wet to play. We said it is
not raining we are playing. It drizzled a bit but after the 4th
hole or so it cleared up. The course was in decent shape except
for some ponds here and there (namely the sand traps and a couple
fairways).
- One note about the concierge floor here. One member of our group
left his perscription sunglasses in our golf cart. We did not
realize this until we were back in the room. We went to the concierge
CMs to get the phone number for the golf course. They took the
information and told us to go to the parks and not worry about
it. When we came back for dinner they stopped us and gave us the
sun glasses. It was great not having to trek back to the golf
course and retrieve them.
- Did another tour of the Studios this time during a pleasant
afternoon. The lines were a bit longer, but still nothing to write
about.
- The Osborne Lights were awesome as usual, but not too much seemed
new except for Stitch from 2 years ago when we saw it. There was
a healthy crowd.
- After the lights it was dinner time. I grabbed a pizza from
Pizza Planet, another a chicken sandwhich from EPCOT, and another
a quick bite from China.
- After dinner we road the Journey into your Imagination ride
with Figment (forget which version # this is). It had just opened
a day or so ago (not sure exaclty when, but our first day it was
not open yet). Overall I liked it better than the last version
I had seen, but no where near the original.
