To all who come to this happy place, welcome. Many years ago, Walt Disney introduced the world to enchanted realms of fantasy and adventure, yesterday and tomorrow, in a magical place called Disneyland. Today that spirit of imagination and discovery comes to life in Hong Kong.

Hong Kong Disneyland is dedicated to the young and the young at heart - with the hope that it will be a source of joy and inspiration, and an enduring symbol of the cooperation, friendship and understanding between the people of Hong Kong and the United States of America.

Geek's Thoughts

The first thing that hits you at Hong Kong Disneyland is the scenery. There are hills/mountains behind the park and they act as a natural backdrop. This really changes your visual perspective of the park and was interesting to me. When looking stateside Hong Kong Disneyland is closest to Anaheim. The scale of much of the park is the same, for example Main Street buildings and Sleeping Beauty Castle. But the park itself feels more spread out and has many more park like attributes than the parks here in the U.S. have. There are quite a few places to sit in the shade and relax. And the walkways seemed wide, on par with WDW, in many cases but the crowds when I was there were minimal so it felt very open.
