  • Page Number: 1
A view of the Mickey and Friends tram stop area. Not a lot of visible progress.
The fences look the same, assuming behind them the planters and concrete are removed.
The status of the ramp project, assuming it is being removed.
  • Page Number: 2
Panning to the right it looks the same.
The Pinocchio lot was being used today, but not full.
New billboards at the tram stop featuring the new marketing slogan on them.
  • Page Number: 3
Now onto the Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge check. Here is a video overview from the roof of the Mickey and Friends Parking Structure.
A long shot of the side facing Disneyland Drive.
The exterior siding is now up on all the visible portions of the Millennium Falcon building. The corner was not last week.
  • Page Number: 4
Moving to the right not a lot of visible progress on the Battle Escape Building.
The peaks in the distance and to the left more support steel for rock work taking shape.

The exterior stairs on the concrete building look almost complete.
Work continues on all the utilities backstage.
  • Page Number: 6
To the right toward Critter Country the dirt has been filled to the roof of the structure. They are now sealing the roof and looks like dirt will cover that too.
Moving back to the tallest peaks on the far left of the site.
Panning right to the shorter of the peaks visible over the Battle Escape Building. The scaffolding is up and it looks ready for concrete.
  • Page Number: 7
Further right the taller of the shorter peaks has most of its wire mesh installed so you can see the shape and scaffolding is going up.
    Back to the far left.
The newest steel for more rock work continues to grow.
  • Page Number: 8
A better view of the work toward Critter Country.
A closer look at the roof. You can see the part they are sealing today as well as some columns that will be where steel is attached for the facade. Dirt will most likely be brought in all the way to the top of the black.
More steel is visible beyond the Battle Escape Building.
  • Page Number: 9
Conduit and utility work continue behind the concrete building.
Looks like they are preparing for concrete on the rock work visible between the two structures on the roof of the Battle Escape building.
Hard to make out any visible progress near the Critter Country entrance.
  • Page Number: 10
Looking toward the Millennium Falcon building from a lower level.

The exterior work on Splitsville seems to have stalled on the back side.
New banners line Downtown Disney with the new marketing slogan on them.

  • Page Number: 15
All exterior signs for Build-A-Bear are gone too.
They have not gutted the inside yet though.
Winter plantings have taken over for Christmas throughout Downtown Disney.
  • Page Number: 16
  • Page Number: 17
Disney Home Coming soon added to the doors.
  • Page Number: 18
The windows of the candy store were covered. The store was still open, but guess the kitchen area is being renovated.
  • Page Number: 19
Peak pricing is in effect this weekend because it is a holiday weekend for many (Monday is Martin Luther King Day).
Arriving at Disneyland. Most signs of Christmas are gone from the parks now. Only a few random decorations and Small World Holiday remain.
  • Page Number: 20
A large project has taken over Main Street. The Horse-drawn streetcar tracks are being replaced. Several of the rails and tracks are original from 1955. So as you enter the park you are greeted by construction walls that block off Town Square.
The view from the Train Station. They are working on the perimeter of Town Square, the center portion is untouched.
plastic and boards are down to protect the concrete and areas that are not being worked on.
  • Page Number: 21
There were a couple workers but not a lot going on this afternoon.
A wide shot of Town Square.

A ground level view of the wall.
The straight portion of the street is not behind walls yet. They are working on the two ends first.
A look at some of the old rail as I make my way toward the hub.
  • Page Number: 23
Disney also announced that bricks will be installed around the rails, assuming it will be like Disney California Adventure's Red Car track.. so between the rails and the area adjacent to the rail will have brick. So it will most likely be the smaller concrete areas on either side and center here.
  • Page Number: 24
The concrete is really showing the wear.
The hub is also encircled with construction walls.
  • Page Number: 25
    Disneyland wait times at 1pm

In Fantasyland Dumbo is behind walls. In addition to a regular renovation they are moving the queue and adding a new shade structure to it.
So walls ring northern edge of Fantasyland around Dumbo.
  • Page Number: 36
They continue up the steps to Casey Jr too, the train is still open just a narrow walkway to enter.
A quiet Big Thunder Trail, around the corner though the smoking section was busy as always with smoke filling the walkway. This really seems like it needs to be relocated so guests do not have to walk through the cloud of smoke when using the trail.
  • Page Number: 37
A look through one little crack in the fence along the trail at the Galaxy's Edge work.
Frontierland had a lot of guests moving about as always.
    Frontierland from the Mark Twain
  • Page Number: 38
Noticed a line of guests forming as we set sail in the middle of the walkway. Turned out to be for Pirates. They were in the process of opening the extended queue and did not do it quick enough and guests backed up past the River Belle Terrace.
    The river front this afternoon
  • Page Number: 39
Haunted Mansion is closed for a couple weeks for removal of the holiday overlay.
It looks like they may be working on the queue for Haunted Mansion. A lot of plastic covers up in the area.

Through the trees steel from the market/village and more rock work supports is visible
  • Page Number: 42
Is that a hidden Mickey in the rocks?
  • Page Number: 43
A wider view as we steam back to port.

Christmas decorations have been removed from New Orleans Square. The mask has remained, assuming for Mardi Gras
The Haunted Mansion is closed for removal of the holiday overlay. The FastPass scanners look really awkward in the walkway with no one around.

With the Mansion closed Magnolia Park has returned to a peaceful spot to visit.

Chip and Dale were interacting with guests along the walkway.
Redwood Creek is closed for annual renovation work.
A FastPass cart out in the walkway..

Turns out that cart was being used for Toy Story FastPass distribution. Nice that it saves a lot of steps but there was no indication of return time until you got a ticket or watched someone else get one.
The cart to the left was used for World of Color. Still distributing Blue for the first show at 3:15pm
Judy and Nick were roaming around interacting with guests vs stationary at a photo op as I passed by.

A good portion of Paradise Pier is currently closed as it is being transformed into Pixar Pier. The gondolas are all removed from the Fun Wheel.
As you approach the Pier a sign with the wait time for Midway Mania is up (noticed this seemed to overstate the wait the couple times I walked by. For example it says 45, the app said 40 and when I reached the attraction it said 25).
The pier is a dead end during construction. Walls are up at Toy Story and at the Parade Gate on the other side. So signs are up to let you know which way to go to reach which attraction.

The current park maps feature the same images as the banners and billboards with the new marketing campaign.
  • Page Number: 85
Inside the DCA one they have removed the closed attractions/dining locations from the listing. Also arrows indicate what is closed. I thought the way it was done on the sign on the wall was better with the shading.
Returned to Disneyland. This gives an idea of how narrow the entry is now with the construction.
  • Page Number: 86
There is a spotlight on the flags at night now since they cannot easily get to them to raise and lower them each day.
Noticed the lights have been removed from inside the protective cases.
Stopped by the Launch Bay. Here is a picture from the new video segment showing a look inside Galaxy's Edge.
  • Page Number: 87
Another one inside the Battle Escape Building looking at the large hanger area. Off to the right you can see the parking structure.
I picked up some more trading cards. Out of the three packs my group received we added one more card to my collection.. so I have four pieces of the map.
Next up used a FastPass for Buzz Lightyear. Buzz was working this time through.
  • Page Number: 88
I thought my score was good considering no stops to inflate it this time through.
