    The machines were hard at work on the new entrance complex for DCA. I headed to Disneyland first though.
    Noticed they still had the wrong fireworks poster up.
    No visible progress on Main Street.

    Plenty of characters out this afternoon
    The snow has all melted off the castle.
    More painting going on.

    The wait times around 1:30pm as you can see the park was quite empty this afternoon. Also some problems with three attractions down temporarily.
    Looks like some prep work for the upcoming paving project.

    My first stop of the day was the Festival Arena to check out the first Family Fun Weekend
    There is a sign up out front listing the upcoming weekends.

    This weekend is Fiesta Disneyland
    The perimeter had Meet and Greet locations set up.
    And the center had several carts with vendors as well as some tables for kids to do some drawing/coloring.

    The stage featuring entertainment ranging from dance troupes to musical groups to character performances.

    A couple of ODV carts selling refreshments were in the area too.

    I walked through the ranch on the way out and it is back to normal.

    The wait times around 2pm most of the attractions had reopened.
    The Disneyland Band was out in Town Square.

    Over to DCA now. There were signs up for the new Pixar Pals shows. No real details time/location though. The first of three started today.
    Not much visible progress.
    Soarin had no wait at all. You could walk right into the building.

    Aviator Goofy was out this week.
    Work on GRR continues.

    A sign warning you about World of Color, guessing because of the high winds that were in the forecast.
    Noticed no more Brother Bear signage.

    The scaffolding is down on the side of the Mermaid building that faces the Bay Area restrooms.

    Another random sign for the Pixar Pals. That and a bunch of CMs and some tape in the area are the only hints a show was going to be starting soon.
    Show time. The procession is lead by several performers from the Pixar Play Parade.
    Followed by the drum float from the parade.

    Well almost all removed, just the corner was left.
    Some signage to help you find your way around the Pier since it is blocked off where the Maliboomer used to be.

    It is great to see the platforms submerged. I wish they could have found a way to submerge or hide the large projector/spot light housings.. they still look odd to me.
    The DVC cart that was near the Jellyfish has been moved due to the construction it is out by the Fun Wheel.
    The walls are pushed right up to the exit area for the Fun Wheel.

    Now some shots from the Fun Wheel. Due to the work they are storing the Disney Channel Rocks gear in a small area near the Zephyr.
    The structure for the facade of the Boardwalk Pizza place is moving along.
    Not much has changed at the burger place.

    The parade route has been removed (the walls are pushed right up to the Swings - more shots in a while to show that).

    They are removing the rest of the Maliboomer and the area around it in preparation for the new park that is slated to open in the Spring.

    Looks like the floor has been poured and the interior work is progressing.

    I apologize for the poor video and pictures in advance.. I was doing both at the same time.. since I figured this was the last show of the night (it was about 4pm and the area closed at 5pm).

    After their number Mickey and Minnie were signing autographs and taking pictures while the Fiesta continued.

    I headed out to Toontown next, Small World was still running the Holiday version.

    But most of the lights have been removed from the exterior already. Still do not understand why they did not make the investment in permanent lights during the big rehab.. vs these temporary ones.
    Toontown is back to normal.
    The taller Goofy Water fountain is still broken.. it has been at least two visits.. maybe three now.

    Speaking of the Flag Retreat this past Wednesday they had a special one honoring a Silver Star and Medal of Honor Recipient. Check it out in the Guest Update section. Also I posted video to the Youtube channel.
    The Disneyland Band was not part of the ceremony tonight. Just the Dapper Dans.
    I had not seen this Star Wars backpack (just the Yoda ones). Seems rather large for a rather small carrying capacity.

    The Honda banners are down/gone from in front of Innoventions.

    They were only running 3 of the 4 Autopia tracks today.

    I did not have enough daylight time to make it out to the Disneyland hotel this week.. but looks like the temporary lift is done on the lobby tower.

    A closer look at a section of the previous shot shows they have put in some retaining walls as they work on the new entrance. Guessing this is where the utility/data lines will be run.
