    After arriving before the sun rise and stopping by the Riverside to check in we headed for the Animal Kingdom to start our trip.
    We arrived just after 8:00am and it was very quiet

    The park did not open until 9:00am
    Noticed they are plugging their annual passholder deal at all the ticket windows.

    Same holiday decorations around the entrance area, nothing new jumped out.
    We were let into the park about quarter till 9.
    There was a brief ceremony to unveil the information board.

    Noticed a new Picnic in the park sign up. They now take orders in several spots.

    The Tough to Be a Bug Fastpass area is all closed up.. they were testing a centralized Fasptass distribution point here several weeks/months ago but no signs of anything today.

    Still not sure about the sounds of the rain forest and Pocahontas.. last I checked we did not have any rain forests on the east coast (guess it would be mid to north coast) of the US...

    Headed out to see what was going on at the Camp next.

    Not many people out in line for Mickey, maybe two or three groups only.
    More characters coming out for pictures.

    Thought it would be fun to turn around since no one seems to take a picture looking away from the tree.

    Spotted an anteater on the way out.
    There are now hand sanitizers everywhere.. kind of thrown in and chained down. Guess if they decide to keep them they will eventually be worked into the areas?
    Next stop the Magic Kingdom.

    Spotted the new monorail Teal operating on the resort line today (this is the one that was put together with cars from the two that collided if I remember correctly).
    Bay Lake Tower is now open for business (not for visitors but only for guests staying there).

    Main Street is all decked out for the Holidays as usual.

    A new gift shop at the end of Main Street... like there were not enough already. Also thought all the banners for the Christmas party hard sell were over the top.

    Headed out to Liberty Square.
    The Hall of Presidents is open again (will have some shots and thoughts on a latter day)

    The procession here starts near the Diamond Horseshoe and heads for the boat.

    It is a much shorter procession than Disneylands and does not work as well in Frontierland/Liberty Square as it does in New Orleans Square.

    The boat pulls out and steams over to a show stop near the Splash Mountain bridge.

    The show features the same set of songs as the Disneyland show (except no live vocals).

    The riverboat captain was into the show.
    Guest participation..
    Notice the river boat CMs working the rail on the first floor.. Another difference in the coasts. At Disneyland its performers that work with the guests.

    He appears on the top of the boat which is a little more dramatic but harder to photograph.
    The spirits do not have yellow backing like Disneyland yet.. so they are much harder to see.. photograph.

    There is no sound system on the shore to use for the show so they have speakers and equipment on the top deck of the boat.

    The finale has fireworks.. they looked great compared to the streamers in Anaheim.

    Noticed a crack in Splash Mountain.. this was near the turn at the end of the splash down area.

    Looking toward the newly reopened restroom area (the skyway station on the upper floor has been removed).
    Extra lighting brought in for the Totally Tomorrowland Christmas! show that is using the theater that was created for the short lived Stitch show earlier this year.
    During the day they still play random ads on the screen.

    Headed back to Main Street and noticed the clock was off..it was really 4:50pm.
    More of the Christmas party banners..
    Noticed how the garland on the light poles was plugged in.. kind of funny. I miss the gas lamps that Disneyland has.. think they just look better.

    Headed over to Fort Wilderness for dinner. Along the way looked over at the abandon River Country.. wonder when something will go on there.
