12/21/12 7.7 20,462 9 Started off my Holiday week with a trip to the Disneyland Resort. To my surprise parking for me was a piece of cake, exited the freeway and headed right into the garage and was directed to a spot. Noticed the entrance off of Disneyland Drive was closed and traffic there was backed up through the Magic Way light. After parking I walked over to Downtown Disney. Strolled through the Holiday Village and then headed for the parks. Wandered around Main Street USA, Town Square, the Market House, the hub and the Castle before heading up the walkway by the Matterhorn to Small World. Took some pictures of the Fantasyland Theater work on my way into Toontown. Circled the area and then walked back through Fantasyland and out to the Jingle Jangle Jamboree. All was quiet so continued on down the Big Thunder Trail and into Frontierland. Worked my way along the Rivers of America and over to New Orleans Square. Listened to the Jambayla Jazz for a bit then grabbed a Fastpass for the Huanted Mansion. Walked through New Orleans Square, saw the Bootstrappers too. Then inched through the crowd in Adventureland. Stopped by the Oasis and found myself alone in there with just a couple of cast members, a great change from the main walkway. Headed back to Main Street and stopped by the Disney Gallery to see the Realms of Fantasy exhibit. Took my fair share of pictures before going over to Disney California Adventure. Walked down Buena Vista Street and up the parade route to the Blue Sky Cellar Patio for some pictures. Continued up and saw a little of the Phineas and Ferb show before doubling back through the Pacific Wharf and into Cars Land. Strolled down Cross Street, past DJ, and continued on to Bugs Land. Walked down Sunset and Hollywood Blvds on my way back to Buena Vista Street. Caught the Community Bell Ringers and then crossed back to Disneyland for the Flag Retreat Ceremony on Main Street. Afterwards walked up Main Street, through Frontierland and out to the Ranch to catch the last Billies of the evening. As they performed took some pictures of the Jingle Jangle Jamboree and then walked through Fantasyland and the Castle on my way to Main Street to catch the Tree Lighting Ceremony. After the brief moment hung around Main Street a while to see if they were going to do the 5:15 Wintertime Enchantment, which they did not, before heading to dinner at the Village Haus. After dinner walked out to Small World just as the Christmas Fantasy Parade was reaching it. Decided to go for a cruise on Small World Holiday (only a 10 minute wait). After my cruise it was back to Main Street for a Wintertime Enchantment moment then wandered around Main Street for a while. Made my way to the Tomorrowland Terrace to catch the 7pm Elvis (Scot Bruce) set then back to Main Street for the 7:30 Enchantment moment. Walked out to Small World Holiday to take some pictures of the lights and video of the projection show then back to Tomorrowland to catch the end of the 7:45 Elvis set. Returned to Main Street for the 8:30 for the Wintertime Enchantment event before deciding to circle back to Tomorrowland to watch the 8:35 Elvis set. After the set inched through the crowd and back to Main Street to find a spot for Believe in Holiday Magic. Watched the show then headed for the tram, garage, car, and home to call it a night.

12/14/12 6.2 16,372 9 Arrived at the Disneyland Resort around lunchtime. Was greeted by a closed Mickey and Friends Garage so ended up having to circle around to get into the garage. After parking hopped on a tram to the parks. Walked into Disneyland and started to read the time schedule for the day. Realized that the times were not lining up with our agenda so made a quick u-turn and walked across to DCA. Strolled down Buena Vista Street and eventually made our way out to the Wharf for a lunch. After lunch wandered through Cars Land and back to Buena Vista Street. Walked down Hollywood Blvd and circled the Backlot area before walking through Bugs Land and then Cars Land again. Crossed the parade route near the Little Mermaid and walked around GRR. Made my way to the Grand Californian Lobby and caught some of the Dickens Carolers set. After their performance walked through Downtown Disney and back to the Esplanade to pick up my Candlelight wristband for the evening. Then returned to Disneyland. The Christmas Fantasy Parade was making it way down the street, they had the backstage walkway on the west side of the street open so went that way to avoid the crowd. Wandered around the hub a bit then walked through the Castle to Fantasyland and then down the Big Thunder Trail to the Jamboree. Realized I still had half an hour till the Billies so continued on down the trail and around the Rivers of America to New Orleans Square. Doubled back through Frontierland to the Jamboree and watched the Holiday Hillbillies. After their set stopped by the Village Haus for dinner then spent some time near Small World and a quick walk through Toontown as the rain wsa now falling. Walked around the Matterhorn and through Tomorrowland to get to Main Street. Tried to figure out a dry way to take some pictures then headed for the front of the park to line up for the 7:30 Candlelight. Was seated in the fourth row for the show, a different perspective than usual for me. The show started about 15 minutes late but once it did went off without any rain issues. After the show made a quick trip to the Emporium and then headed for the tram, garage, car, and home as the rain began to fall again.

12/07/12 7.6 20,160 9 Arrived at the Disneyland Resort just after lunch and was directed into the last row on the Goofy Level. Then hiked to the escalator. Arrived at the tram stop and found no trams in sight. So decided to hike to the parks. I was surprised that I made it to Downtown Disney without any trams passing me heading into the parks (saw a couple leaving). Headed for Disneyland first today. Arrived on Main Street just as the 1pm Christmas Fantasy Parade was making its way toward Town Square. Watched the opening of the parade then inched my way toward the hub. Made my way into Adventureland and saw Indiana Jones was operating so took advantage of the single rider line and went for a ride. After my ride continued on to New orleans Square and grabbed a Fastpass for Haunted Mansion in case I had time to ride later. Strolled along the Rivers of America and down the Big Thunder trail on my way to the Jingle Jangle Jamboree. Hung around for a few minutes then continued on through Fantasyland and out to Small World. Took some pictures of the Fantasyland Theater work then walked back through Fantasyland and the Castle to get pictures of the Fantasy Faire work. Made my way down Main Street, over to DCA, through Buena Vista Street and Condor Flats on my way to the Grand Californian. Took in a concert by the Dickens Carolers and wandered around the lobby for a while before heading to Downtown Disney. Walked through World of Disney on my way back to the parks. Headed for DCA and spent some time on Buena Vista Street then stopped to grab a bite to eat at Taste Pilots. After dinner made my way to Cars Land for the nightly lighting moment then on my way back to Disneyland caught the Tree Lighting on Buena Vista Street. Arrived in Town Square with about 10 minutes to spare before the Candlelight was to begin. Found a spot for the show. After the Candlelight made my through the mass of guests and into the park. Headed for Small World to catch the quarter hour projection show then into Toontown to see what was going on this evening there. Circled around and then made my way back to Main Street. Then headed to Tomorrowland. Strolled through and caught a couple songs from the Bolts who were performing at the Tomorrowland Terrace and then made my way back to Main Street to catch the processional part of the Candlelight and inched through the crowd and made my way back to DCA. Wandered through Buena Vista Street and down Hollywood Blvd to the Animation Building. Spent some time taking some pictures inside then headed to the Mad T Party at the top of the hour to catch the band. After their set roamed Bugs Land and Cars Land on my way to World of Color. Caught the first half of the show then decided I had better leave early to get to Disneyland in time for Believe in Holiday Magic. Arrived on Main Street with only a couple minutes to spare. Watched the show and snow then headed for the tram, garage, car, and home.

12/01/12 10.4 27,618 13 Arrived at the Disneyland just after 7am and was directed to the second floor of the Mickey and Friends Garage to park. Hopped on a tram and made it to the park gates just after 7:30am. Headed for DCA first to get Fastpasses for the Racers. They opened the gates about 7:45 so we could enter Buena Vista Street. Some of the group headed for the Fastpass line, I exited the park to find the rest of the group. Met them then re-entered and headed for the Fastpass line. After receiving our Fastpasses we headed for Cars Land. Walked down Route 66 and found the Racers had not opened yet, good call getting Fastpasses. We opted to visit the Flying Tires, about a 25 minute wait, then stopped by Maters, a 15 minute wait before heading out to the Pier. Walked around to Toy Story and waited just under half an hour to ride. Continued on past the Fun Wheel and Paradise Gardens to complete the loop by the Little Mermaid. It had no wait at all so walked on. Strolled down the parade route then through Bugs Land and into Hollywood Land. Stopped by an event near the Mad T Party and visited with some friends. Then walked through Hollywood Land and had to make a quick stop to drop some of the warmer/rain clothes off in a locker from the group, which of course all the size they wanted in DCA were taken so we ended up in the Esplanade. Once back in the park made our way to Cars Land to use our Fastpasses for the Racers. Completed our Race and doubled back to Buena Vista Street. Stopped by Trolley Treats and watched them start to make some Candy Canes while the rest of the group watched the Buena Vista Street Bell Ringers. Then we made our way over to Disneyland. Wandered down Main Street USA and into Adventureland. Decided to grab Fastpasses for the Haunted Mansion then headed for the Stage Door Cafe for lunch. After eating some went on Pirates (about 20 minute wait) and I hung around the Rivers of America listening to the Jambayla Jazz and talking with some friends. Once they were finished with Pirates we went to the Haunted Mansion to use our Fastpasses then walked along the Rivers of America and the Big Thunder Trail to the Jingle Jangle Jamboree. Stuck around for a set from the Holiday Hillbillies then the rest of the group stopped for lunch at the Village Haus and I wandered around the Castle and then out to Toontown taking some pictures. We regrouped and went on Small World Holiday. Made our way back through Fantasyland and the Castle to Main Street just as the Christmas Fantasy Parade was wrapping up. Pushed through the parade crowd and returned to DCA. Plan A was to use another set of Fastpasses on the Racers that we had, but that failed due to the long wait so spent some time roaming Cars Land and visiting the stores then caught the lights coming on at 4:45pm. At this point we split up and some of the group stayed in DCA and roamed around, they saw Prep and Landing, got some food, and went on Soarin. I headed for Disneyland to catch the Candlelight. On the way took a brief detour to say hi to some friends on Buena Vista Street and catch the tree lighting. Arrived at Disneyland about 15 minutes before showtime and managed to find an ok spot to see the Candlelight. Watched most of the show from there and then at the end moved around to the Firehouse side so I could be on the exit side for afterwards. Then returned to DCA and met up with the rest of the group by Soarin. Made our way out to Cars Land and the FP return for Racers was even worse so decided to grab a snack from the Wharf (some from the Cozy Cones). After eating decided to give the Racers one more try. Since most had not ridden at night we bit the bullet and waited about 45 minutes to use our Fastpasses. After our race slowly made our way to the park exit. A member of the group decided they wanted a Dole Whip for the road, so that meant a quick return to Disneyland. Some headed for the car and we walked down Main Street, grabbed a Dole Whip, then did the same, just as the light mist started to turn to a light rain.

9/21/12 8.1 21,561 8 Arrived at the Disneyland Resort a bit later than usual, I stayed Downtown to watch the Space Shuttle. Started off this last day of summer with a traffic jam at the Disneyland Drive/Ball Road light. It took me about 20 minutes to get from the I5 south exit to the garage toll booths. Once in the garage no wait and directed up to the roof to park. Walked down the steps and across the parking lot on my way to Downtown Disney. Once in Disneyland wandered down Main Street and into Frontierland. Made my way around the Big Thunder Trail and out to the Halloween Carnival. Pulled up a seat to watch the Haunted Hillbillies and took some pictures of the area. After the show walked back down the Trail and to New Orleans to check out the Haunted Mansion line. It was longer than my patience to stand in the sun so walked through the streets of NOS and Frontierland on my way back to the Hub. Took some pictures of the area and walked through the Castle and Fantasyland. Ended up back at the Ranch for a second show of the Billies. Grabbed a quick dinner at the Village Haus then walked through Fantasyland and out to Toontown. Made the circle and walked by the Matterhorn and into Tomorrowland. Walked through Pizza Port then noticed Captain EO was about to open its doors so decided to take in a show since it had been a while. Spent a good amount of time wandering around and just enjoying Radiator Springs. I enjoyed the show (only taking a handful of pictures!) then joined the masses heading for the exit. Walked through the Esplanade as Remember was going on and boarded a tram to the garage. Reached the parking structure just as the finale was exploding overhead. Found my car and headed for home.

9/14/12 7.9 20,987 9 Started off this extremely warm day at the Disneyland Resort with a quarter mile hike to the escalator in the Mickey and Friends garage. Was directed into a spot in 1H... which is maybe a dozen or so spots from the far corner. Made my way to a waiting tram and headed for the parks. First stop today Disneyland to check out the Halloweentime festivities. Wandered down Main Street checking out the usual decorations as well as some ongoing rehab projects. Circled the hub and strolled through Adventureland and out to New Orleans Square with a goal of finding a Fastpass for Haunted Mansion. This plan was foiled when I learned there is no Fastpass for Haunted Mansion Holiday this year. So I circled back and walked through New Orleans Square, stopping to check out the Pirates League. Made my way through Frontierland and around the Big Thunder Trail to the Ranch Jamboree which is now featruing a Halloween Carnival. Ran into several other websites out taking pictures, so chatted for a brief time. I walked around, tried out some of the games, and stopped by the Astounding Cauldron of Magic that was Conjuring Villains, Just for Fun! Captain Hook was inside taking pictures when I stopped. I still had about half an hour till the Haunted Billies took the stage so I decided to make a quick walk through Fantasyland to see what was going on, then through the Small World Mall, Toontown, and back around the Matterhorn and through the Castle. Made it back with about 5 minutes to spare. Took some Character pictures and then pictures of Mickeys Mask Parade. Followed by the Billys and their Haunted Show. After the show circled back by Haunted Mansion to see how the line looked, still more than I wanted to deal with, so headed for DCA. Strolled down Buena Vista Street after picking up the new Buena Vista Bugle and took a look at some of the window displays. Walked down the Backlot and into the Animation Building to check out the Frankenweenie displays then over to the Muppet theater for the sneak peek of the film. Stopped by Dancin with Disney to see what was going on (and read a couple emails in the A/C). Walked by Tower of Terror and they were just pulling a Red Car out from backstage so I decided to go for a ride and had the car to myself all the way to Carhay Circle. There the car filled up for the final leg to the Buena Vista Street. I disembarked and walked back to Carthay Circle and decided to grab some dinner at Taste Pilots. After dinner walked around GRR and grabbed a Fastpass for World of Color then headed for Cars Land. The Racers single rider line looked short so hopped in it and as luck would have it it was short. But after a couple of minutes with only a handful of guests in front of me the attraction went down. So I bailed out at this point and walked through Cars Land and decided to head to Disneyland. The 6:30 parade was about to step off and I had heard they were doing just a cavalcade due to the heat so I pulled up a spot to watch. Talked to a cast member and learned they had decided to run a full Soundsational stepping off from Small World, so I made my way down Main Street and caught the opening of the parade as it made its way through the hub. Strolled through Tomorrowland and over by Ghost Galaxy to see what was going on. Took a couple pictures and then found a spot to catch the 7:00pm Elvis set at the Tomorrowland Terrace. After Elvis made my way back to the hub then through Adventureland and out to New Orleans Square to bite the bullet and wait for Haunted Mansion. It had a 50 minute posted wait that turned out to be about 30. After the Mansion circled back through New Orleans and hung out at the River Belle Terrace a bit while some ate. Then made our way to Main Street to catch Remember, Dreams Come True. After the show it was a quick stop at DCA to pick up some Buena Vista Bugles before walking back to the Mickey and Friends Garage and finding my car to head for home.

8/24/12 10.4 27,610 14.5 Arrived at the Disneyland Resort a little after 7:15am. Since I was ahead of schedule, thanks to favorable traffic, I decided to walk to the parks from the Parking Garage going through Downtown Disney to check out latest construction. Arrived at DCA about 20 to 8 so had some time to give a brief tour of Buena Vista Street and Hollywood Land while some of the group queued up for a Racers Fastpass. At 8am when the park opened we headed for Cars Land with the masses and strolled down Route 66 and walked right onto the Flying Tires. After the tires made our way through Ornament Valley and out to the Wharf then onto the Pier to wait for the rest of the group that had now gotten the Fastpasses for the Racers as well as World of Color and we all headed out to Toy Story. Only a 10 minute wait then we walked on the the Fun Wheel, some went on Goofys Sky School and we all walked onto the Little Mermaid. Strolled around GRR and walked onto Soarin. Things were moving nicely... then as we were waiting for the safety video in Soarin noticed it was not starting and cast members were moving around a lot. After a few minutes they informed us we would be moving to the other theater. So our couple minute wait turned into a 20 minute wait. After Soarin walked through Carthay Circle and back to Cars Land to go on the Racers. Then wandered back to the Wharf and some chocolate at Ghirardelli before deciding it was too early for lunch (it was just before 11am) so we strolled toward the park exit, along the way stopping for the Red Car News Boys. After their performance it was time to visit Disneyland. We roamed around Main Street and made our way to Adventureland where I grabbed Fastpasses for Indiana Jones. We decided the Jungle Cruise line was too long and opted to head to the Stage Door Cafe for an early lunch. After eating we walked right onto Pirates, through New Orleans Square, and onto Haunted Mansion. We doubled back to Adventureland to use our Indy Fastpasses and it was closed so hopped on the Jungle Cruise which had only a 10 minute wait. Walked over to Frontierland and grabbed fastpasses for Big Thunder on the way to the Jamboree and 1:15 Billies performance. After the Billies the group headed back to Big Thunder and I roamed through Fantasyland and out to the new Princess Meet in Greet. My photos were cut short and I walked by the Matterhorn and through the hub to rejoin the group in Adventureland and use our Indy Fastpasses. We had some time to kill so slowly headed back to Main Street, grabbed something to drink, and made our way down to the Disney Gallery and Main Street Opera House. Caught the 3:00pm Voices of Liberty and Great Moments show then hopped on the train and disembarked at Toontown. Walked onto Small World then hopped back on the Train to Main Street. Watched most of Soundsational from the train station then I ran over to DCA to grab something from our locker. Caught the last half of the DCA flag retreat and then back to Disneyland to rejoin the group and watch the Disneyland Flag Retreat. Strolled down Main Street USA and through the Castle to Fantasyland. Ate dinner at the Village Haus and then walked through Fantasyland over to Tomorrowland. Buzz was a 10 minute wait so went for a spin then waited about 15 minutes for Finding Nemo. Resurfaced with a couple minutes to spare before the 7pm Elvis (Scot Bruce) set. After the show we headed back to Main Street, some shopping, then back to DCA. Strolled down Buena Vista Street and wandered through Hollywood Land. Walked through the Mad T Party, then by Tower of Terror, through Bugs Land and out to Cars Land. Caught a little of DJs before moving on to the Wharf, a quick stop in Ghirardellis, and then out to the Pier to find a spot for World of Color. Waited about 40 minutes and watched the show from the Blue section. After World of Color joined the masses heading toward the exit. Made our way out out of the park, through the Esplande, to the tram, car, and home to end our full day at the parks (it was a 18 hours from when we left the house till we returned home today).

We strolled down Buena Vista Street and walked through Condor Flats, around GRR, and through the Wharf to enter Cars Land from there. Walked out to Route 66 and let them soak in the area a bit. Then decided to bite the bullet and wait the 120 minutes for Radiator Springs Racers. Within 5 minutes of being in line they went down. 6/11/12 5.5 14,563 9.5 I arrived at the Disneyland Resort to find a crowded tram stop so I decided to walk over to the parks. As I was rounding the corner by Rain Forest Cafe I noticed Mandy Monorail (Blue) on the beam. So I decided to head to Disneyland first. By the time I reached the platform Mandy was long gone and Mona was pulling in. So took Mona to the park and then waited for Mandy to come back around so I could ride round trip and hear the spiel. Once back to Tomorrowland walked by the Matterhorn and through the hub to Frontierland. Grabbed a bite to eat at the Stage Door Cafe then headed for Main Street and the Esplanade to meet up with the friends that had invited me to the Cars Land preview. We met and waited by the ticket booths for everyone to arrive. Got our wristbands and were on our way to the preview. Walked through the DCA turn stile and a cast member opened the door to unveil Buena Vista Street. Stepped onto the new street and spend a few minutes taking some pictures around the square and of the parked Red Car Trolley. Then slowly made my way down the street to the Storytellers statue area. Took a couple pictures then headed out to Cars Land. I figured I would double back later or later in the week to really explore Buena Vista Street. Walked down the parade route and past the hedges now blocking Cars Land and into the Wharf area. Was let through the door and stepped into Cars Land for the first time. Walked down the street past the Radiator Springs Racers and to the main intersection of Cross Street and Route 66. The Racers were down so went for a ride on the Flying Tires. Next up strolled toward the Cozy Cones and ran into Kevin Rafferty so spend some time chatting. Walked by the Cones and out to Maters for a spin. Walked back through Filmores and past Sarges. Stopped by the restrooms and then walked through Flos. We noticed a line forming for the Racers so got in line and a few minutes later the Racers opened. We opted for the single Rider and only had a 10 min or so wait. Went for my first ride through the Racers and exited the area and got right back in line. We worked our way toward the front and then the attraction stopped. We waited about 15 minutes before giving up and heading back to town. Went for a second flight on the Flying Tires and then took a break while some grabbed dinner in Flos. We saw the Racers running again so went back in line. This time it was a 20 min single rider wait. Once I exited only had a few minutes left before 5:00pm and the end of the preview so returned to line again. This time only a 5 min single rider wait. After my ride the attractions were all closed and clearing their remaining guests. I did a quick pass through Lizzies, Sarges, and Ramones before being politely ushered toward the exit. Was pushed toward the Bugs gate to exit. I then hiked through Downtown Disney and out to the Disneyland Hotel to meet up for a great dinner at Steakhouse 55. Spent some time in the Disney Gallery since there is only a few more weeks of the trains then decided to watch Soundsational since I was on Main Street already and it was just about to start. After the parade crossed back to DCA walked around GRR for a while. Walked through Condor Flats and Carthay Circle on my way for a second pass through the Blue Sky Cellar followed by Ghirardelli. Some of the group grabbed dinner in the Wharf area and then headed for the Mad T Party by way of Bugsland. Listened to the last set of the evening and roamed around the Mad T Party for a while. La Brea Bakery opened earlier today, so stopped by to see the newly rennovated building. Then continued on into the parks. First stop Disney California Adventure. Not much to see from the entrance, walked around Soarin and through Condor Flats to approach Carthay Circle. Took some pictures from the Patio and a quick look inside before going through the Wharf area and out to the Pier. Walked by Ariels and the Cove Bar area then around by Screamin and Toy Story. The objective was a ride on the Fun Wheel, but with a 45 minute wait I did not have time so I kept on walking. Made my way past Paradise Gardens by the Little Mermaid. Walked acorss the Esplanade and wandered down Main Street to the hub and eventually all the way to Small World to catch the very end of the Brave Meet and Greet session. Walked down Main Street and out to Small World to watch the premiere of the summer edition of the Magic, the Memories, and You! After the show waded through the crowd waiting for Magical and headed back to DCA for some after dark photos. Spent some time in Carthay Circle before making my way back to the Mad T Party. Made a second pass through the area now that the lights were visible. It was nearing 10pm and park close so I headed back to the tram area which was jammed with guests that had just finished watching Magical at Disneyland so I opted to walk back to the garage. Made it to the garage, found my car, and headed for home.

After visiting the ghosts headed back to Tomorrowland to catch some of Scot Bruce (Elvis) and then swung by Plaza Gardens to watch a little of the Swing Dancing before making my way back to DCA and ElecTRONica to see the finals of the Dance Crew Competition. 4/06/12 9.3 24,761 9 Started off this great spring afternoon heading for DCA. Wandered around GRR and out to the Pier. Made my way around to the Fun Wheel and put in my half hour wait for a spin. Once back on the ground continued on around the Pier and through the Wharf on my way to the Blue Sky Cellar area. Took my fill of Cars Land pictures then walked through the Cellar to see if there was anything new (a new Bobsled model) then walked through Bugs Land, around by Tower of Terror and into Hollywood Land. Took a bunch of pictures of the Red Car Cables as I made my way through the area and down Hollywood Blvd to Buena Vista Street. Continued snapping pictures of the construction work then headed for Disneyland. Roamed around Main Street USA, the hub and Matterhorn. The Monorail line was short so went for back to back rides to check out the Buena Vista Street work. Once back in the park walked through Tomorrowland and into the hub. Saw that Soundsational was making its way down the street so I walked to keep in front of it as I headed for Town Square. Watched the first couple of units then headed for DCA and dinner at the Wharf stopping by the Blue Sky Cellar along the way. After dinner stopped by the Little Mermaid since it was a walk on then strolled around GRR and into the Grand Californian. Spent some time hanging out in the lobby listing to a guitar player then walked across the street to the Disneyland Hotel for a walk around. Nothing new or exciting going on so strolled through Downtown Disney on my way back to Disneyland. Walked down Main Street and into Adventureland. Noticed there was almost no wait for the Jungle Cruise so went for a day time spin. Once back continued on to New Orleans Square where again noticed no line, this time for Haunted Mansion so went for a ride. Then walked around the Rivers of America and the Big Thunder Trail to Fantasyland. Decided to walk through the Castle and head back to DCA. As the sun was setting wanted to see what was happening at Cars Land. Stood there for a while then went to check out the Fun Wheel line. It was too long, over half an hour, so I continued on around the Pier and doubled back to the Blue Sky Cellar area. Then walked through Buena Vista Street and into Hollywood Land to see what was going on at ElecTRONica. Stuck around for the first dance competition of the evening then made one more stop at the Blue Sky Cellar patio since it was now completely dark out. It was almost showtime so made my way out to the Pier to catch World of Color. Noticed there were very few guests under the swings so watched the show from out there this time around. After World of Color joined the masses heading for the exit as the Disneyland fireworks were going off. Boarded a tram for the garage and headed back to my car and home.

3/27/12 4.4 11,879 5.5 Started off this trip to the Disneyland Resort heading for DCA and Hollywood Land (guess I should start calling it that since that is what the trashcans say now) and Stage 17. Along the way stopped to take some Buena Vista Street pictures then Red Car progress pictures. Got my wristband and headed into Stage 17 for the Cars Land merchandise preview. Spent quite a bit of time taking pictures, talking to CMs, and of course buying something (only bought the pin set so was happy with the restraint). After I was done at the preview walked toward Tower of Terror, through Fliks and up to the Blue Sky Cellar Patio for some Cars Land pictures. Then wandered out to the Pier and waited about 30 minutes for a spin on the Fun Wheel. Once back on the ground stopped by Paradise Gardens and then walked down the parade route to Buena Vista Street again for some pictures. Grabbed dinner at Taste Pilots then headed for Disneyland. Strolled down Main Street to the hub. Walked through Adventureland and hung out on the Pirates bridge for a bit to watch the masses. 3/23/12 8.5 22,572 8 Arrived to a busy Disneyland Resort. As I exited the I-5 South at Disneyland Drive was met with a backup right away. It took four light cycles to make it across Ball and then was greated by cones at the structure and directed all the way around to the Toy Story Lot. Finally pulled into a parking spot and boarded a bus to the parks. It took me just over 40 minutes from when I exited the freeway until I was at the DCA entrance. Once in the park made my way through the crowd and Condor Flats to check out Buena Vista Street progress. Then headed down the parade route to the Blue Sky Cellar to see Cars Land. Continued on to the Pier and out by Screamin (which was down). Wanted to go on the Fun Wheel but the line was all the way up the exit ramp and probably pushing 45 minutes so I kept on walking. Walked through Paradise Gardens and around by the Little Mermaid which was also down. Continued on down the parade route and turned into Bugs Land. Walked through Fliks and then out to the Backlot. Made my way back to Buena Vista Street and decided to head to Disneyland. Strolled down Main Street USA and around the hub and by the Matterhorn on my way to the Monorail (yeah two running this week), so I went for back to back rides to get pictures of the Buena Street progress then once back in Tomorrowland walked around the Matterhorn and through Fantasyland to the Big Thunder Trail. Spent some time in the ranch area then continued on to the Rivers of America. Along the way noted Big Thunder was down. Walked out to the Huanted Mansion then back through New Orleans Square and Adventureland. Made my way down Main Street and back to DCA. Wandered out to the Wharf, by way of Condor Flats, Buena Vista Street. Grabbed a bite to eat at the Wharf before making a second pass at the Fun Wheel. This time Screamin and Mermaid were reopened but Toy Story was closed. The Fun Wheel line was shorter than the first pass but still longer than my patience so no Fun Wheel this trip. I made my way back around to the Blue Sky Cellar Patio for some more Cars Land shots and a quick walk through before heading back to Disneyland. Walked down Main Street, through the Castle and out to Toontown. Nothing too noteworthy going on so walked back around the Matterhorn and through Tomorrowland, where I noticed Buzz Lightyear was down. Made my way to Town Square and watch the Soundsational parade in the round. Made my way to the Tomorrowland Terrace for the 7pm Elvis (Scot Bruce) set. After his show it was back to DCA and the Blue Sky Cellar to see if any new Neon was on, nothing too interesting, so headed for the Backlot and ElecTRONica to check out the Dance Competition. Where right on queue they had technical difficulties and the show was delayed while they reset the computer that controlled the lighting, etc.. in the end they show went on but limited lighting and screen effects. After the show hung out in Backlot and talked with some friends. Watched the second showing of the dance competition, everything worked this time around then strolled back to the Blue Sky Cellar since the others had not seen it. Spend some time there till 9pm when they closed. Since the park was closed we headed for the exit. I decided it was time to board the bus and head back to the Toy Story lot to find my car and head for home.

After dinner I left the group and hiked back to DCA and the Blue Sky Cellar patio for some Cars Land shots then out to the Pier to check out the Fun Wheel line and the shops after dark. The line was too long so I walked around the Pier and then through Bugs to the Backlot again. They were setting up to film in front of Tower of Terror as I passed by. 2/17/12 7.9 20,963 8 Was met by a line of cars reaching almost to the freeway off ramp light from the 5 South to Disneyland Drive. 2/03/12 8.7 23,084 8.5 Started off this breezy afternoon heading for DCA. Wandered around GRR and the Redwook Creek area, stopping to watch some of the Miner 49ers set on my way out to the Pier. Walked by Screamin and Toy Story (both mild waits) on my way to the Fun Wheel. Went for a spin then continued on to Paradise Gardens to catch the Ellis Island Boys on the Band Stand before finishing up the loop in front of Little Mermaid. Strolled through the Wharf area then stopped by the Blue Sky Cellar for some Cars Land pictures. Continued on to Fliks and then around the Backlot to Buena Vista Street. Then on to Condor Flats and over to Disneyland. Wandered down Main Street USA and around the hub. Decided to walk through Fantasyland and out to the Matterhorn. Continued on around the Matterhorn and went for back to back rides on the Monorail. On the second trip disembarked in Downtown Disney and made my way back to Disneyland on foot, stopping by the temporary Lego store on the way. As I was stepping onto Main Street Soundsational was entering Town Square. I watched a little of the parade as I made my way toward Adventureland. Walked through New Orleans Square which is preparing for the kickoff of its Mardi Gras celebration next week. Then hiked out to Critter Country before doubling back and strolling along the Rivers of America and around the Big Thunder Trail. Walked through Fantasyland and out to Toontown. Circled the area then circled back and went for a ride on Small World. After my cruise walked down the Parade Route and over to DCA. Headed for Buena Vista Street and then out to the Blue Sky Cellar for some Cars Land shots. Made my way back through Fliks and around to ElecTRONica. Grabbed a quick bite to eat at Taste Pilots before heading back to Disneyland. Walked out to Small World to catch the Magic, the Memories, and You! Then walked back to Main Street where I stopped by the Jolly Holiday Bakery. Since Remember was cancelled checked out the line for Star Tours (too long, 75 minutes) so walked by the wishing well and through the castle to Fantasyland. Mr. Toad only had a 10 minute wait so went for a ride. Decided to hike out to the Disneyland Hotel and roamed through the Fantasy and Adventure Tower lobbies before walking back to the Mickey and Friends garage to call it a night.

1/28/12 9.9 26,350 11 Started off the morning hanging around the Disneyland Hotel room a bit and then packed up and headed out to breakfast. Decided to move the car to the Mickey and Friends structure to make leaving easier this evening. Arrived at Disneyland and spent some time wandering around Main Street and the hub area before making a quick trip out to the Small World Mall for some Lunar New Year sets/props pictures in the day light before heading to DCA to join the rest of my group and wait for the rope drop. Due to some Run Disney event everyone was held up in Condor Flats. We joined the masses doing the long hike out to Toy Story. After our ride then it was over to the Fun Wheel before the line grew. Once back on the ground we continued on around the Pier and went for a spin on the Swings then hopped on the Little Mermaid before heading back to Disneyland. Strolled down Main Street USA and made our way out to the Small World Mall to check out the Lunar New Year Festivities. Then headed to Frontierland to meet up with some friends for lunch. After lunch some stayed behind to visit and the rest of us ended up in Tomorrowland and went for a ride on Buzz. Then everyone else headed back to Frontierland to go on Big Thunder and I wandered out to the Lunar New Year Celebration to meet up with some other friends. Ran into my original group as they were heading to Tomorrowland for Autopia so I tagged along then split off to visit Innoventions before rejoining them and going for a spin on the Tea Cups. We all headed over to DCA. Most headed for Fliks and I made a stop by the Blue Sky Cellar to see if anything new/interesting was visible in Cars Land before joining them. We then hung out in the Backlot area, watched Muppets, caught a little of the Dance Crew then some of the group went on Tower of Terror. After Tower we walked back through Bugs and out to the Pier for a ride on Toy Story followed by dinner at Taste Pilots. After dinner ran into some friends so chatted for a while and some of the group split off to ride Soarin. Decided it was time to call it an evening so hiked back to the car (the tram lines were fairly long) and headed for home.

1/27/12 8.5 22,467 8 Arrived at the Disneyland Resort right after lunch and headed for the Disneyland Hotel to check in. Parked in the 20 minute registration lot and was checked in and back moving the car in under five minutes. Dropped the bags off in the room, snapped a bunch of pictures then headed for a late lunch at the Rain Forest Cafe. After lunch I circled back to the hotel to walk through the fitness expo and the rest of the group took the Monorail into the park. I then walked through Downtown Disney and up Main Street on my way to Tomorrowland. There was no wait at the Monorail Station so went for back to back rides to check out the construction. Once back in the park met up with the rest of my group at the Lunar New Year Celebration. Walked by the Toontown Train Station then through Fantasyland and around the Big Thunder Trail to NOS and cut through Adventureland on my way back to Main Street. Watched a little of the Flag Retreat then headed to DCA to try and get a couple construction shots before the sun set. Made our way to the Blue Sky Cellar and then out to the Pier for an after dark spin on the Fun Wheel. Circled back to the Blue Sky Cellar to see if anything new was inside (a couple of new pictures) then back to Disneyland. Roamed down Main Street USA and into Adventureland. Stopped by the Jungle Cruise then continued on to NOS and went for a ride on the Haunted Mansion then hopped on the train. I disembarked at Toontown and the rest of the grop continued on to Main Street. Took some pictures of the Lunar New Year sets before walking toward Main Street to meet up with everyone else. I actually managed to beat them there.. they were on a slow train! At this point they headed for Downtown Disney and back to the room. I went back to DCA since Disneyland was closing. Met up with some friends by the Little Mermaid and then the plan was to try and catch World of Color but it was cancelled due to wind. So we walked around the Pier and then down the Backlot to visit ElecTRONica before the park closed. Wandered through Downtown Disney and they went for a late dinner at ESPN Zone and I continued on to the Disneyland Hotel to take some pictures around the ground and the room at night before calling it quits for the day.

1/13/12 7.7 20,463 7 Arrived at the Disneyland Resort in the early afternoon to some perfect spring weather, temps were in the upper 70s, and mild crowds. Took the tram to the parks and headed for DCA first to check in on the construction. Walked around GRR and out to the Pier. Went for a spin on the Fun Wheel and as I was finishing my loop of the area caught a little of the Phineas and Ferb show. Continued on to the Wharf and then the Blue Sky Cellar area before reaching Buena Vista Street. Walked through Condor Flats and over to Disneyland. Strolled down Main Street USA listening to the new background track a bit before verring off to Tomorrowland. Hopped on the Monorail and went for back to back rides to see both sides of the Buena Vista Street work. Once back in the park headed out toward Small World, unfortunately Soundsational was just wrapping up so had to wade through that crowd on my way to Toontown. Circled Toontown then walked back through Fantasyland and around the Big Thunder Trail. Strolled along the Rivers of America and out to the Huanted Mansion for a couple pictures. Walked back through New Orleans Square and Adventureland on my way to Main Street. Cuaght a little of the Flag Retreat then returned to Fantasyland via the Castle to grab some dinner at the Village Haus. After dinner walked out to Small World and went for a ride, the Holiday version is still running. Then wandered back through Fantasyland and the Big Thunder Trail to the Rivers of America. Took some pictures before heading to Main Street to find a spot for Soundsational. Watched the parade from in front of the Firehouse/City Hall and then headed for DCA. Walked through Condor Flats and out to the Blue Sky Cellar area to get some Cars Land shots. Notice more lights on so had the bad idea to hike to the Fun Wheel to try for a last minute ride. Made it out there as the last groups were being loaded and they would not let anyone else in line, so the mission failed. I walked back to the Blue Sky area and then through Bugs and out to the Backlot to catch Laserman. After Laserman returned to Paradise Park and took in some of World of Color from a couple alternate viewing locations before leaving a bit early to return to Disneyland for Remember. Found a spot on Main Street and only had to wait about 5 minutes for the show. Afterwards joined the masses heading for the exits. Hopped on a tram and headed the garage, car, and home.

1/07/12 9.5 25,102 11 Started off this cool and overcast morning walking to the parks from McDs on Harbor. Stopped by the ticket booth to buy some tickets for some of the group while the others parked the car in the garage. Then we queued up to enter Disneyland. Ended up having to wait for the others since it took longer than expected for them to arrive. Once we all assembled we headed down Main Street. At this point I went to check out the Jolly Holiday Bakery, others to Star Tours for Fastpasses and another group to Matterhorn. All met up near Alice and I headed up to the Small World Mall area to watch the Toy Soldier Jam and the others over to Mr. Toad. I then headed through Fantasyland and around the Big Thunder Trail and into Frontierland to check out the area for the Three Kings Celebration that was going on this weekend. Then walked along the Rivers of America and turned around at the Haunted Mansion and doubled back through New Orleans Square and Adventureland. The others went to Space Mountain then met me on Main Street so we could head over to DCA for the rope drop. Picked up Soarin and World of Color Fastpasses then waited to join the herd heading for Toy Story. Went for a spin and then on to the Fun Wheel for some Cars Land pictures. Continued on to the Swings then some went on Goofy and then we stopped by the Zephyr. Walked by GRR and into Condor Flats. The group decided to use their Soarin Fastpasses and I decided to go take pictures of the Buena Vista Street work then wander through the Backlot, around through Bugs Land and out to the Wharf. Stopped by the bread tour and then over to the Blue Sky Cellar. We rejoined the group in the Wharf area for lunch (I hiked over to grab a corn dog). After lunch headed for the Hyperion and just barely made it into Aladdin. Then went for a ride on Monsters Inc before returning to Disneyland. Strolled down Main Street USA and over to Star Tours to use our Fastpasses. A couple broke off from the group to get Fastpasses for Haunted Mansion. We crossed the parade traffic and some went for a Dole Whip, I went to check out the Three Kings Festivities, then we met up and went for a ride on Indy (others went to see the Billies, which I missed due to Indy taking three times longer than the posted wait!). After Indy used the Haunted Mansion Fastpasses then they went on Big Thunder and I hung around the Three Kings Celebration for a while then roamed out to the ranch for a final look this year. Continued on through Fantasyland and out to grab a picture of the Toontown Train Station as well as Matterhorn before rejoining the group on Main Street. Decided to go to DCA and Taste Pilots for dinner. After dinner wandered by Buena Vista Street and up the parade route. Visited the Little Mermaid then strolled by GRR and out to Downtown Disney so they could do some shopping. The group decided it was time to go... so we called it an early evening and headed for the tram, car, and home.

42 345.3 406 Totals
Note: These totals may be skewed because the pedometer is zero'd when we start and then left alone and read when we leave. So attractions, and other things may cause extra "steps" to be counted. The pedometer that we use basically measures up/down motion as a step, so if your standing in line and moving up and down it may be counting steps, etc.. so the total distances traveled and steps may be off.. so use these as rough distance comparisons between trips and they may not be accurate in terms of actual distance traveled.
