12/30/09 10.1 26,667 14 Started off this dark and gloomy morning with an ok spot in the garage. Was greeted with a line to go down the escalator and two tram stops were operating with approx. a 2 tram wait at each so I began the hike to the parks. Along the way it started to midst.. maybe even a light rain. Reached the security checkpoint then headed for Disneyland (since DCA was not open yet). Wandered down Main Street and stopped by the Cinema since it is going down for rehab next week. Then headed up Main Street and through the Castle. Checked out the lines in Fantasyland and then Tomorrowland before returning to Main Street to meet up with the rest of my group for the day. We then strolled into Tomorrowland to check out Nemo. At this point it started to rain a bit harder so we turned to Fantasyland and out to Small World to get out of the rain. After Small World the rain had let up so we went for a spin on the Tea Cups then walked around the Big Thunder Trail and the Rivers of America. Grabbed a Fastpass for Haunted Mansion then headed for Pooh. After Pooh spent some time hiding from the rain and walked through NOS and Adventureland on our way to DCA. Stopped by Taste Pilots but there was no seating for a group of our size inside and it was still raining so we went to White Water Snacks instead (grabbing some Soarin Fastpasses along the way). After lunch walked out to the Pier. Some went on King Tritons and I took some pictures of the World of Color work then we all went on the Fun Wheel (and got rather wet). Continued on around, I stopped by the SS Rustworthy then we headed for Playhouse Disney. We had two 2 year olds in the group.. After playhouse Disney walked over to Monsters which was closed. As we regrouped luck would have it and Monsters reopened so we walked on. After Monsters headed to the Sunshine Plaza and then over to Soarin so they could use their Fastpasses. The Lazygeek and I roamed out to Bugsland and then by the Pier again to see what was happening. Strolled around GRR and over to Soarin to meet up with the rest of the group. They were sidetracked and were just heading into Soarin. We decided to visit the Animation building to stay warm and dry. Spent 15-20 minutes watching the film loop and visiting with some characters who were inside taking pictures. Then we rejoined the group and headed for Disneyland. Grabbed Fastpasses for Buzz and headed for the Golden Horseshoe for dinner. I saw there was no line at the Corn Dog Wagon and since it is scheduled to go down for rehab next week I had to have one for dinner instead. So I grabbed a corn dog then joined them at the horseshoe. By dumb luck we caught the Laughinstock Company performance then we headed for the Haunted Mansion to use our Fastpasses. Afterwards hopped on the train to Toontown to see the Small World lights and 7:30 snow show. Afterwards circled by the Castle to the see the lights then to Buzz to use our Fastpasses. Checked out the Autopia and Nemo lines, both too long, so headed to Adventureland and the Tiki Room. Once done singing with the birdies it was time to head to Main Street for Believe. Had a few minutes so stopped by Disneyana and the Gallery before the show began. After the show hiked back to the car (with the strollers and lines decided to bypass the trams) then headed for home.

12/22/09 8.9 23,611 8 Started off this windy/cool December day hiking to Downtown Disney because the tram lines were longer than my patience. The good news was I was in the garage with no parking headaches. After crossing the street to Downtown Disney we heard the rehersal of the Tubas for the afternoon event. Walked by the new boats at Rain Forest and then continued on through Downtown Disney and over to DCA. Decided to grab lunch first so walked out to the Pier. I ordered from the Farmers Market, sat down, ate, and moved seats before the others in the group made it through the line at the Wharf Cafe. After lunch took a quick peak at the World of Color work then strolled over to Soarin to grab Fastpasses then met up with some out of state company and wandered out to the Pier. Toy Story was posted at 45 minutes, we decided to wait and luckily it was closer to 35 minutes only. After setting the second best score so far (bet that did not last long) for the day we continued on past the Fun Wheel. The line was all the way up the exit ramp so we kept going. Stopped for a restroom break near Burger Invasion then took more pictures of the World of Color work from the Zephyr area. Finished our loop and headed for the Blue Sky Cellar. Afterwards walked back to the entrance and then down the backlot to check out the wait for Monsters. Way too long (40 min). I stopped by the Tower of Terror area for some pictures then we headed out to the Esplande. Split up with some heading for Disneyland and Nemo and others (including myself) hiking back through Downtown Disney to see if the Tubas were performing (I missed it they were done) then hopped on the Monorail to Disneyland. Once at the park saw the others in line for Nemo (they still had a good half hour) so wandered over to New Orleans Square by way of Frontierland and a quick stop in the Golden Horseshoe to watch the Showboat Jubilee. After the show waded through the masses and walked through Adventureland and back to join the group that was about to exit Nemo. At this point it was turning cooler and we needed to make a quick run out to the cars to exchange a couple Christmas gifts and get jackets. So most of the group headed for DCA and Soarin and the Lazygeek and myself out to the garage, car, and then back to join them. There was no line at Taste Pilots so I grabbed a burger for dinner and the others headed back to the Wharf for dinner. While they were eating I spent some time up on the Pier entranceway watching some World of Color testing. After they ate we headed down the Backlot and walked onto Monsters Inc. Then we headed for Disneyland. Made it onto Main Street right as the 7:30 Snow Event was starting. Watched the lights and snow then decided to check out Great Moments. After the show took some pictures with Mickey and Minnie and then headed for the tram, cars and home calling it an early (by Disneyland standards) evening since I had work on Wednesday.

Other Interesting Stats:
* Moderate Walking Stats (meaning over 2.5mph): 18,069 steps, 158 minutes.
12/18/09 8.1 21,414 9 I was lucky enough to park in the garage and then took the tram to Downtown Disney. Headed for the security checkpoint and into DCA. Wandered along the parade route and through Fliks Fun Fair and the Wharf on my way to the Pier. Worked my way around to the Fun Wheel for a spin and then the Golden Zephyr. Finished the loop and strolled by GRR and out to the Grand Californian. Walked through Downtown Disney, stopping at the new D-Street store and then out to the new Cupcake stand before turning around and taking the Monorail into Disneyland. Disembarked the Monorail and walked by Space Mountain on my way to grab a Fastpass for Buzz. Then headed for Main Street and the Opera House to check out Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln. Had a few minutes to wander the lobby then the show started. Watched the show then circled back to the lobby again to see what I misssed. Then headed out to Main Street and wandered by Plaza Gardens which was being set up for a concert. Then found myself in Frontierland, so waded through the Showboat crowd to get to the Haunted Mansion for a Fastpass then strolled along the River and back around to near Big Thunder. Saw the Mark Twain coming into port so doubled back for a couple pictures then headed out to the Ranch and around to Fantasyland. Continued on all the way out to Small World and hopped on for a ride since the parade was going on. Once back, headed back to Fantasyland and through the castle on my way to to Frontierland to catch the Billy Hill show. After the show watched the end of the Showboat show since it was going on then headed back to Plaza Gardens to watch the concert that was being webcast. After the concert walked down Main Street and over to DCA and dinner at Taste Pilots Grill. After dinner headed out to the Pier where they were testing some World of Color fountains and lights. Watched from the Zephyr then strolled around to the area by Ariels before heading through the Wharf and down the parade route to get back to Disneyland. Arrived just as Santa was finding his way down Main Street and the street was packed. They directed everyone enterting the park backstage through the parade gate and back on stage near Space Mountains exit. Once in the park walked through Tomorrowland and back to the hub. Spent some time by the castle and then waded down the street to find a spot for the 7:30 snow fall. After the snow event stopped by for a second showing of Great Moments then headed back up the street and into Tomorrowland. Used my Buzz Fastpass then pushed through the crowd in the hub and into Frontierland. Walked through the Fanstasmic crowd and out to Haunted Mansion and into Critter Country. Made the circle then headed back through NOS and Adventureland on my way to Main Street. Managed to make it down the street and found a spot to sit near the tree for a while then joined the masses on Main Street for Believe. After the show headed for the tram, car, and home.

Wandered down Main Street, through Frontierland and over to the riverfront to catch some of the showboat jubilee. There was no line so went for a ride on Casey Jr. then continued through Fantasyland and out to Small World, which had a couple minute wait only (the parade was going on). After our voyage we headed back through Fantasyland and over to NOS to use our Haunted Mansion Fastpasses. Once back strolled through Adventureland and down Main Streeet. Caught the 5:00pm Tree Lighting then headed over to DCA for dinner at Taste Pilots. After dinner roamed by GRR and back out to make a circle of the Pier. Made it half way around and doubled back to Ariels. Strolled through the Wharf and out to the Backlot. Made a quick glance at Tower of Terror then walked onto Monsters Inc before making my way to Disneyland. Got trapped in the parade traffic but finally made my way down the street. Grabbed a Fastpass for Buzz then saw there was almost no line for Nemo (it was posted as 10 minutes) so went for a ride. Once back on shore walked by the Matterhorn and out to Small World for some night shots, then back through Fantasyland, along the Rivers and through Adventureland on my way to Main Street. Stopped by the Gallery and then found a spot to relax on Main Street for a few minutes before Believe. Watched Believe and the snow then headed for the tram, car, and home.

Then it took almost an hour from when I exited the freeway until I was a the security tents to enter the Esplanade. Thanks to the Garage and surface lots being closed off of Disneyland drive. Not sure why as they were open later in the day. I ended up parked at the Garden walk. It was a several bus wait so I hiked to the parks. Headed for Disneyland first and out to Tomorrowland. Tried to grab a Fastpass for Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy, but they were gone for the day (it was before 2pm at this point). So I hopped on the Monorail for a round trip and then waited for the Lazygeek who was on the Autopia. We then strolled around the Matterhorn, took some pictures of the new snack shack, and then headed to Fantasyland. Went for a spin on the Tea Cups and continued on to the Big Thunder Ranch. Continued on out to the Haunted Mansion to use my Fastpass and the return line looked to be 15-20 minutes probably so decided to skip that this week and instead hiked over to Tomorrowland to see the Ghost Galaxy lighting effects (also caught a little of the Suburban Legends in Tomorrowland). Headed for Main Street about quarter to 9 to find a spot for the fireworks. After the show joined the masses exiting and hiked back to the Garden walk and my car to head home.

Walked up to the platform and saw the long line so headed back down and strolled through Downtown Disney. Headed for Disneyland since DCA was already closed for the evening. Wandered down Main Street, verred into Tomorrowland , circled by Space Mountain then around the Sub Lagoon, Matterhorn, and out to Toontown. Made the loop of Toontown then doubled back through Fantasyland, around the Big Thunder Trail and into Frontierland. Walked out to the Hub and watched some of the Street Party before heading back down Main Street and back to the car (the park was closing in under half an hour and tomorrow was going to be another long day at the D23 Expo then the parks).

08/28/09 6.7 17,917 8 Started off this warm (temps were in the 90s) Southern California afternoon a bit later than usual. Headed for DCA first and out to the Pier by way of the Wharf. Walked around to Toy Story which had only a 20 minute wait (turned out to be 15 only). After Toy Story hopped on the Fun Wheel (again a short wait maybe 5 cars). Then continued around by the swings, stopping at the Pizza Place for some water, then over to the Zephyr for a spin. Walked around GRR and then into the Grand CA to check out the work. Hiked through Downtown Disney and out to the Disneyland Hotel next to check out the work. Circled the Dream Tower and then walked back through Downtown Disney, stopping at World of Disney, and then on to Disneyland. Waiting a couple minutes at caught the Flag Retreat before wandering down the street to the hub. Checked out the line board, grabbed some water, then headed to Tomorrowland and grabbed a Fastpass for Buzz. Decided to head up to the Monorail for a round trip voyage. Once back in Tomorrowland walked around the Matterhorn and into Fantasyland. Cut through the Castle and into Frontierland. Hiked out to Haunted Mansion then back through NOS and Frontierland to the hub. Went for a spin on Buzz Lightyear and then caught Elvis at Tomorrowland Terrace. After the show hopped on the train to NOS. Grabbed some water and walked out to Critter Counter Had over an hour till Fantasmic so walked on Haunted Mansion and then decided to go on Pirates. Due to it breaking down I managed to reach the location to view Fantasmic just as the Columbia finished it rounds. Watched till the dragon did not show then headed for Main Street to catch Magical. After the show headed for the tram, car, and home.

08/21/09 6.1 16,108 5 Started the afternoon off a little later than usual arriving around 2pm. Parked on the roof of the garage and headed for the tram and DCA. Walked through the Wharf and out to the Pier. Went for a spin on the Fun Wheel and then continued on around the Pier and turn into the Bay Area and walked around GRR. Strolled through the Grand Californian taking some pictures of the new pool area and then headed out to Downtown Disney and over to Disneyland. Roamed around Main Street for a little while and made my way down to the Hub and into Tomorrowland. Grabbed a Fastpass for Buzz and then headed up to the Monorail for a round trip journey. Once back in the park walked around the Matterhorn and through the Small World Mall. Stopped by the Princess Faire on my way to Toontown. Circled the residential area of Toontown then walked back through Fantasyland and around the Big Thunder Trail. Continued on around the Rivers of America and out to Critter Country. At the dead end turned around and went through New Orleans Square and Adventureland on my way to Main Street for the Flag Retreat. After the Retreat headed to DCA and grabbed dinner at Taste Pilots then headed out to the Pier to check the lines. Toy Story was too long, but the Fun Wheel was a walk on. Heard the Pixar Play Parade coming so opted to bypass the Fun Wheel and found a spot to watch the parade from near the Zephyr. After the parade headed back toward the Sun Plaza and into the Backlot. Stopped in the animation building for a while then continued on out to the Tower of Terror area and then past Monsters on my way back to the entrance. Decided to call it an early evening and head for the Lazygeeks house.

08/16/09 9.0 23,760 11 We arrived at the Disneyland Resort area a bit earlier than planned (no traffic!!) so stopped for breakfast at McDs then headed for the garage to park. Hopped on a tram to the parks and strolled into Disneyland with no real delays. Wandered down Main Street and through the Castle into Fantasyland with the hopes of visiting a few attractions before the crowds arrived (it was about 9am).. well that was not an option as Peter Pan was already a 30 minute wait. So visited Pinocchio which just re- opened then walked around past Alice and into Tomorrowland to grab a Fastpass for Buzz. Decided to head over to DCA to be there for when it opened at 10:00am. Spotted a queue for Toy Story near GRR and was walked out to the attraction a few minutes before 10am. So we were on and done by about 5 after 10 then headed for the Fun Wheel which was a walk on also and around to the Golden Zephyr which had no line either. Then I doubled back to the Pier bridge to get some shots that I could not pause for when we walked in. Next up walked through the Wharf area and then out to the Esplande to meet up with the rest of our groupo which had just arrived and were picking up a birthday giftcard. Since Disneyland looked crowded already we headed back to DCA and down the Backlot to the Disney Visa photo op. Got our picture then headed for Bugsland. Rode the bumper cars, Lady Bug Boogie, Chew Chew Train, then Fliks Flyers before deciding it was lunch time. Stopped by Taste Pilots and did not see any tables open so continued on to the Grand CA and White Water Snacks for lunch. After lunch grabbed some pictures of the DVC work then headed back to DCA. Strolled out to the Pier to visit the SS Rustfworthy then checked the Fun Wheel line, which was too long so doubled back to the Zephyr for a spin. Then headed over to Playhouse Disney. After the show stopped by Greetings from California to pick up our free Disney Visa photo then headed over to Disneyland. We made it out the gate and realized the line to get into Disneyland stretched almost to the California letters so we headed right back into DCA (there was no line). We hiked out to the Pier to check the Fun Wheel line again, still too long, so opted for a spin on King Tritons instead. Then we wandered back to the Wharf and pulled up a table in the shade for a while to regroup. Ended up eating dinner there and then headed over to Disneyland. Got caught in teh 6:30 parade traffic and worked our way to Tomorrowland. Used our Buzz fastpasses and then took a look around and decided it the park felt fairly crowded and the sun was low enough that we should head for the tram, car, and home.

08/07/09 6.4 17,131 9 We arrived at the parks a bit later than the last few weeks and were parked in about the same spot on the 5th floor, so a good sign for the crowds. Took the tram to the park and headed for DCA. Stopped by the Blue Sky Cellar and then walked through the Wharf on my way out to the Pier. Hiked out to the Fun Wheel and went for a spin (Toy Story was down). Then finished the loop of the Pier and walked by GRR and out to the Grand Californian. Grabbed my pictures and headed for Disneyland. Strolled down Main Street and verred into Tomorrowland. Grabbed a Fastpass for Buzz and then walked around the Matterhorn and into Fantasyland. Strolled through Fantasyland and around the Big Thunder Trail to Frontierland. It was nearing 4:00pm so headed into catch the Billy Hill show. After the show walked through Frontierland and back out to Main Street USA. Wandered down the street and found a spot for the 4:45 Flag Retreat. After the retreat headed up to the Castle for the 5:30 College Band set and then time for dinner. Some grabbed Fastfood from the Stage Door Cafe, then we met at the Plaza Inn. After dinner we headed for Adventureland and a ride on the Jungle Cruise then doubled back to Tomorrowland to catch some of the Tomorrowland Terrace Band (the Bolts) before heading down Main Street for the 7:30 College Band set. Once their final set of the day was over we decided to use our Buzz Fastpasses and then catch the Pixie Hollow enchantment show. After that we split up and I headed for NOS by way of Frontierland to go for a ride on the Haunted Mansion. I was exiting just as Fantasmic was starting so I watched some of the show before heading back to Main Street to rejoin my group and watch Magical. After the show headed for the trams, car, and home.

07/24/09 9.1 24,257 9 We started off this cooler summer afternoon heading for DCA and lunch at Taste Pilots Grill then strolled through Condor Flats and around GRR and into the Bay Area. We headed over to the Zephyr for a spin and then doubled back past the winery and to the Backlot where the group split up. A couple went to Play House Disney and the rest of us walked over to spend some time in the Blue Sky Cellar then to the Pier to check out the World of Color work. It was just about time for Playhouse Disney to end so we headed back to the Backlot to rejoin our group then we all hiked out to the Pier to check out the Fun Wheel line, it was longer than our tastes would allow so finished the loop of the Pier, spotting a new Green Army Man band, and headed for the Grand Californian. Took pictures of the DVC work and headed out the front entrance and across the street for some more pictures. Walked around the AMC theater and into Downtown Disney. Stopped by the new store where Starabillies used to be before boarding the Monorail and heading for Disneyland. We walked through Tomorrowland and around the Matterhorn on our way out to Small World. The line was longer than we wanted due to the street party ending recently so we headed for Toontown for a while and then walked back through Fantasyland to see what was going on there and then we continued around the Big Thunder Trail stopping at the BBQ to see the new menu. We ended up along the Rivers of America and decided to head for Adventureland to check out the Jungle Cruise which for some reason had a line longer than Indy (Indy was 20 minutes and the Jungle Cruise was up on the second level so it was over 20 minutes). We ended up on Main Street and wandered down to watch the Flag Retreat. After the retreat we spent some time on Main Street, then grabbed a Fastpass for Buzz, before heading to the Castle to watch the 5:30 College Band Set. After the stopped by the Plaza Inn for dinner (I grabbed a corn dog instead) it was back to DCA and out to the Pier for a ride on the Fun Wheel and a second look at the construction around the park. After our loop of the Pier it was back to Disneyland for the 7:30 College Band set in Town Square. Once they had finished we headed for Tomorrowland to use our Fastpass. Once done saving the galaxy we walked through Tomorrowland pausing at Tomorrowland Terrace then continuing around to Pixie Hollow to finally catch the fountain show at 8:30. After the show waded through the crowd and over to Frontierland. Decided to watch Fantasmic from out near Haunted Mansion, we left a bit early to make it to Main Street for Magical. After the fireworks headed for the tram, car, and home.

07/17/09 6.42 13,558 9 Started off the afternoon at the Honda booth entering the contest, then met the Lazygeek and his family before heading into DCA and lunch at Taste Pilots Grill. After lunch we walked over to the Blue Sky Cellar to check out the new World of Color display and then out to the Pier area. Stopped by the Golden Zephyr and then walked past the now closed Orange Stinger on our way to the Fun Wheel. Went for a spin and then finished our loop of the Pier area. Walked through the Wharf and into Bugsland. We went for a ride on all four attractions and then headed for the Esplanade to check in for the D23 event. Found their table and received our information and wristbands. Headed for Disneyland next and took some pictures of the setup for the 54 dedication replay as well as Marty Sklars window. Then cut through the stores and down to Coke Corner to rejoin the group. Grabbed some water and found a spot in the shade to take in some of the Street Party and relax. Worked our way down to Town Square for the 4:45 dedication replay and then headed back to the other end of Main Street to grab dinner (I had a hot dog from Coke Corner and others at the Plaza Inn). After dinner headed for the Small World parade gate and the start of the D23 event. Along the way stopped by the Castle for some pictures. At 6:00pm the D23 group was lead backstage through the parade gate and past the round house. We then turned left and headed for the area near the fireworks main launch point. Here someone from the fireworks crew spent a few minutes talking about the show with us and answering some questions. Then the group was escorted back over to the Team Disney Building and into the auditorium. As we were waiting in line to go in they distributed goodie bags with some snacks and water to us. Once seated Tim ODay, Tony Baxter, Dave Smith, and Ed Hobelman took to the stage for a brief discussion of the Disneyland, USA film and the restoration work that went into it. Then we watched the film. After the film Tim ODay returned to the stage and introduced a new panel that included Jack Linquist, Geri Bumpass, and Bob Gurr and they discussed their time at the park. After this panel we all headed for Plaza Pavilion to enjoy some refreshments and watch Magical. After the show the event was over so we headed for the trams (via the backstage walkway which was open due to the crowd), car, and home.

07/12/09 3.5 9,367 2.5 To start off this quick trip to the Disneyland Resort we headed for Disneyland. Strolled down Main Street USA and made our way into Fantasyland. Since it was fairly early on a Sunday morning Fantasyland has no huge lines. We visited Peter Pan first (about 15 min wait), then walked on Snow White followed by Mr. Toad before we circled around past Alice and into Tomorrowland. Buzz was a walk on so we went for a spin and then headed through the hub and out the Rivers of America via Frontierland. Walked out to the river then around toward the bridge over Pirates before headed back to the hub by way of Adventureland. Headed for DCA next and hiked out to the Pier and walked on Toy Story (since the park was just opening as we arrived). After Toy Story strolled around the Bay taking some construction pictures, also went for a spin on an almost empty Fun Wheel. Finished the loop of the Pier and then walked through the Bay Area and by GRR before exiting the park and visiting the Grand Californian to check out the DVC work. Took my fill of pictures then headed for the tram, car, and my next stop of the day...

Then stopped by the Honda exhibit to register for the contest before heading to Disneyland. Roamed down Main Street, through Adventureland, along the Rivers of America and out to Critter Country to join up with the Lazygeek and some friends out by the Hungry Bear. Some headed for the Baby Center and the rest of us walked back through Tomorrowland, grabbing a Fastpass for Autopia and stopping to see the new Cosmic Waves area. Heaeded for Main Street to rejoin the group. I left for a quick trip to DCA at this point (some in the group only had single park passes so they stayed at Disneyland). I walked out to the Pier by way of Condor Flats and GRR. Stopped for a spin on the Zephyr and then continued on around past the Orange Stinger, the Fun Wheel, and Screamin. Finished the loop of the Pier and walked down the parade route and over to Disneyland. Stopped for the National Anthem at the Flag Retreat and then rejoined the group out by the Tea Cups. We then headed for Tomorrowland and grabbed Fastpasses for Buzz. At this point some went on Star Tours, others used the Autopia Fastpasses, and the rest found a spot in the shade to feed the baby (there was a 9 month old as well as a 2 year old in our group this time). Once we were all back together headed across the hub and into Frontierland. Circled by the NOS dining choices then some ended up at the Stage Door Cafe and the rest the Rancho Del Zocalo in Frontierland. After dinner it was back to the baby care center, and I walked down Main Street to catch the College Band set in front of the trian station. Then we headed for Tomorrowland to use our Buzz Fastpasses. Then walked throught the hub, Adventureland, and out to the Rivers of America to search for a Fantasmic viewing location for the group. We ended up out near the smoking area as that was all that was available. Some stood near by, others went and found a table at the Harbour to rest and eat. Right about show time I headed for the train and over to Small World to find a good spot for Magical. After Magical I walked through the masses toward the park exit, to the tram, car, and headed home.

06/19/09 4.60 10,069 8.5 Started off this great Southern California day stopping by the ticket booth to buy some new passed for other members of our group today. After buying their passes we headed for DCA and lunch at Taste Pilots Grill. Then we walked out to the Wharf area to see the new dining location then I made a loop of the Pier and made a quick flight on the Golden Zephyr. After my flight rejoined the group near the winery and we strolled through the Bay Area and around GRR. The continued on through Condor Flats and over to Disneyland. I made a quick detour through the Grand Californian for some pictures then Downtown Disney, stopped by the Honda exhibit and entered the contest, then rejoined them at Plaza Gardens to watch te 2:45 All American College Band set. After their set we walked through Tomorrowland, grabbing a Fastpass for Buzz then checking out the line for Innoventions, it was too long so we continued on around the Matterhorn and into Fantasyland. Noticed there was no line for the Tea Cups so went for a spin, then walked by the Street Party and walked on Small World (we got our own boat due to there being no line since the Street Party was still going on). While onboard I received a call from Disney guest relations that I won a prize in the Honda celebration event. Once we were back on land decided to wait out the parade traffic and stopped by Toontown for a while. Then we headed for Main Street. Some stopped to find a spot for the Flag Retreat and I headed out to the Esplanade to claim my prize. It turned out to be VIP viewing for the Electrical Parade. Then I rejoined the group for the Flag Retreat. After the ceremony time for dinner. I stopped for a Corn Dog, others for Ice Cream then we headed for the Castle to watch the 5:30 College Band set there. Once their set concluded I hiked out to the car for sweatshirts and the others headed for DCA and the Toy Story line. I made it back as they were nearing the perfect spot to join them (the first turn of the line inside the building) and I distributed their sweatshirts and joined them. After Toy Story we headed back to Disneyland for the 7:30 College Band set on Main Street at the Train Station. Then I headed down Main Street to Tomorrowland to get some pictures (the others over to DCA for our parade viewing). I managed to get on the last Innovention Pod and went up to get some pictures of the nearly complete Cosmic Waves, then stopped by Pixie Hollow to see the lights, I waited around about 10 minutes and some other guests around me said they had been there for 15 minutes and had not seen anything. They gave up then I did and headed for DCA to join my group in the reserved seating area which was the Playhouse Disney queue. Watched the parade then headed for Disneyland to try and catch Magical. Arrived on Main Street a couple minutes into the show (maybe 2 or 3, the second star to the right was just wrapping up). Watched the show until it was stopped right before Baby Mine due to winds. At that point joined the masses and headed for the exit, tram, car, and home.

Walked over to the Disneyland Hotel to see what was going on then over to the Paradise Pier Hotel before crossing the street to the Grand Californian to get some construction shots. Walked out to Downtown Disney and headed for the parks. Checked in for the Summer Nightastic Event and then spent some time looking at the Up Balloon. Then it was off to DCA. Walked through Adventureland and NOS on my way to Critter Country. Circled back along the Rivers of America and into Frontierland. Wandered around the Big Thunder trail and back into Fantasyland. Strolled back to the hub and verred into Frontierland again to watch some Fantasmic setup before heading over to Tomorrowland and Tomorrowland Terrace to start the Summer Nightastic Events. (Note those events are in their own update due to the number of pictures I took).

Summer Nightastic: The event was officially to kick off at 7:00 in the Tomorrowland Terrace Dance Club. As I arrived in the area the music was going and there were some dancers on the stage. I grabbed some dinner and a seat for a while. At around 7:30 the featured entertainer for the evening took the stage, Mitchel Musso who plays Oliver on Hanna Montana. He played a set and then the dancers returned. At this point we were rounded up and headed for Main Street to queue up for Magical. We walked through the backstage gate near Space Mountain and came out by the Corn Dog Stand on Main Street. Found a spot near the risers and waited for the show to begin. Before Magical Began there was a brief ceremony with to kick off the event with Selena Gomez and Jennifer Stone from Disney Channels Wizards of Waverly Place. After Magical we had to wait for the day guests to be ushered out of the park, which took quite a while. Then we headed over to Frontierland and to our spot in front of Pirates for Fantasmic. Watched the show then headed for DCA. Walked through Adventureland and down Main Street as they were setting up for Gradnite. Walked out the front gate and headed for DCA, via the gate by Soarin. Found spots in the Sunshine Plaza to watch the Electrical Parade. After the parade we headed out to the winery for an interview session then walked through GRR and the Grand Californian and out to Downtown Disney. Strolled through a fairly empty Downtown Disney (it was now after midnight) and back to my car in the parking lot.

Some stopped by King Tritons and then we all waited about 20 minutes for the Fun Wheel and then half an hour for Toy Story. We finished the loop of the Pier with a ride on the Zephyr. Walked through the Bay Area and around GRR to the Grand Californian. Stopped to take pictures of the DVC work then out to Downtown Disney to check out the Little Missmatched store. Headed for Disneyland and hopped on the train to avoid the Street Party crowd. We disembarked at Toontown and spent some time at Goofys house before walking back through Fantasyland and around the Matterhorn to Tomorrowland. Grabbed Fastpasses for Autopia and hiked up the exit ramp of Innoventions to get some shots of Cosmic Rays. Walked through Tomorrowland and then the Castle on our way to Fantasyland. Strolled through the masses in Fantasyland and around the Big Thunder trail (stopping to visit Chip and Dale along the way) before taking a voyage on the Mark Twain. Once back on land headed for the Hungry Bear and dinner. After dinner strolled back along the Rivers of America and through Adventureland on our way to Tomorrowland and a ride on the Autopia. Circled back through the Small World Mall to get a couple pictures I missed the first time through then headed over to DCA and out to the Pier to see if I could get any better night shots this trip. 05/15/09 4.19 9,166 7.5 Arrived at the Disneyland Resort just after lunch time and found myself parked in the last row of the 5th floor (about a floor higher than usual). Hopped on a tram and headed for the parks. Walked into DCA first. Wandered by the cooking demonstration and then out to the Farm and Wharf areas on my way to the Pier. Stopped to look at the construction then continued on past Screamin and around to Toy Story. Hopped on the single rider line since there were only four people in it. After Toy Story headed for the Fun Wheel and was greeted with everyone exiting through the entrance, seems they were closing for some reason. I continued on past the Orange Stinger, Dino Jack, and to the Zephyr, which was also closed. I noticed the walls down around the new Restrooms so headed that way to check them out. Then doubled back and noticed the Fun Wheel was running so headed back out there. Was greeted with a 20 minute wait which was longer than I wished to wait but I did anyways. After my trip around Mickey on the Fun Wheel I finished my loop and headed for the Grand Californian. Wandered around the new DVC wing and then strolled out to Downtown Disney. Ended up at the monorail station and took monorail Orange into Disneyland. Once in the park walked through Tomorrowland and toward Pixie Hollow. Was cut off by the Street Party. I walked through the queue of Pixie Hollow a bit to get some shots of the recently redone fountains and then doubled back around the Matterhorn and out to the Small World Mall and into Toontown. Made the circle of Toontown then headed for Fantasyland and around the Big Thunder Trail. Continued on around the Rivers of America and out to Critter Country. Turned around and walked back through New Orleans Square and Adventureland. Was met by quite a few people so cut through the River Belle Terrace and instead walked through an uncrowded Frontierland on my way to the hub. Grabbed some pictures of the new windows on Main Street and then stopped at Disneyana to see if there was anything new. Had some time before the Flag Retreat so went back to Pixie Hollow to get some better shots of the fountains also grabbed a Fastpass for Buzz. Caught the a little of the Flag Retreat on my way over to DCA. Headed for Taste Pilots to grab a bite to eat and then back to the Sunshine Plaza to see the Up! pre-parade. Followed it along the parade route as I headed to the Pier area to see if I could get on the Fun Wheel again, the line was longer now, probably a good 30-40 minutes. So I conintued on in hopes of reaching the Zephyr but was cut off by a crowd control CM who would not let you go down the path past the Orange Stinger until the Pixar Play Parade finished (why I do not understand). After the parade the line was longer than I wanted to wait so I headed back to Disneyland and to Innoventions to get some shots of the fountain work. Decided to use my Fastpass to avoid the Street Party traffic, still ended up seeing the finale. Swung by the line board and then headed back to DCA and the Pier. Went for a spin on the Zephyr then out to the Fun Wheel which had a long line still. Decided to try Toy Story and that single rider line was too long also so I finished the loop and hung out near the entrance to the Pier for a while to take pictures of the Fun Wheels new lighting package as the sun set. I kept an eye on the line which seemed to go most the way up the exit ramp for the remainder of my visit. Once I had my fill of pictures headed for the tram, car, and home.

05/01/09 2.81 6,147 9 Started off this overcast afternoon heading to DCA and lunch at Taste Pilots Grill. We then stroll by the Winery and Farm on our way to the Wharf area. Checked out some of the Food and Wine events and then headed for the Pier. Walked around past Ariels and Screamin. Toy Story had a posted 40 minutes, but it looked shorter so we hopped in line, it was only 25 minutes or so. After Toy Story spent some time at the Games of the Boardwalk. Blew through a $10 game card in less than 5 minutes then walked around the Fun Wheel a bit and over to the Orange Stinger to get some pictures of the Bay. Wrapped up the loop of the Pier in the Bay area and stopped by the Blue Sky Cellar. Next we headed over to Disneyland. Strolled down Main Street USA and verred into Frontierland. Stopped to catch the Billy Hill show then split up. Some of the group went out to Small World then back to Fantasyland and I hiked over to DCA, stopping for the Flag Retreat, to catch John Lasseter at the Food and Wine Festival. I caught his introduction and a little about his wines before walked back to the entrance plaza, then through Condor Flats and into the Grand CA. Grabbed some construction shots then walked through Downtown Disney before heading back to Disneyland to rejoin my group in Fantasyland where we hopped on the Tea Cups. After the Tea Party we walked around the Matterhorn and into Tomorrowland. Stopped by Innoventions where we saw several of the segments (the kitchen at the entrance, then got caught by CMs and saw a presentation in each bedroom). After Innoventions we grabbed Fastpasses for Buzz and headed for River Belle Terrace for dinner. Had to wait for the Street Party to finish to cross the street so saw about 5 minutes of it. After dinner it started to drizzle but we decided to use the Fastpasses for Buzz before leaving. Once we came out of Buzz the rain started to fall a little more so we headed for the entrance. I wanted to see if they were testing the Fun Wheel lights so I hiked into DCA and out to the Pier as the rain really started to fall. They were not testing so I turned around and headed for the tram, car, and home.

04/24/09 3.98 8,702 11.5 Started off this cool spring morning arriving at the resort a bit early so stopped by McDs on Harbor for breakfast. Joined five busloads of kids there, which made it a madhouse, then headed over to the Mickey and Friends Garage arriving just before its 8am opening. Was directed out to the Pinochio lot and then hopped on a tram to the parks. Spent some time roaming around the Esplanade which was set up for TV shots. Today was a media event to kick off the spring events. Then I headed into Disneyland and spent some time in Town Square observing more media locations. Stopped by the media center to pick up some information then make a quick trip back to the car to drop off the folder. Walked back through Downtown Disney and into the Grand CA to get some construction shots. It was nearing 10am so headed for DCA and took some pictures of the Food and Wine displays. Hiked out and made a loop of the Pier before heading back to Disneyland. Once in Disneyland roamed down Main Street, around the Hub, and through the Castle on my way to the Big Thunder Ranch and lunch at the Celebration Roundup. After lunch walked over to the Small World mall and watched the Street Party then we headed for DCA and Stage 17 (the old Millionaire building) to see a Whats Next presentation. After the presentation I headed back out toward the Pier and stopped by the Wharf to take in a Food and Wine Festival Event and then get some pictures of a couple other venues they had set up. Headed back to Disneyland and stopped by the media center one more time before it closed, caught the National Anthem at the Flag Retreat and then it was off to Nemo. After finding Nemo I walked through Frontierland and circled around the Rivers of America and back through Adventureland. Headed to DCA and Taste Pilots Grill for dinner. After dinner walked around GRR and out to the Pier. The Pixar Play Parade was going on so walked along that and crossed right before the last unit at the parade gate. Spent some time watching the Fun Wheel testing then hopped on Toy Story a couple of times. Then I completed my loop and walked through the Farm area and Wharf as I headed for the parks entrance. Once back in Disneyland wandered down Main Street and out to Tomorrowland. Grabbed a Fastpass for Buzz and then walked into Innoventions to see what was going on and to get some better shots of the fountain work in Tomorrowland. Caught a little of the 80s All Starz then used my Buzz Fastpass. Walked out to Toontown and then circled back through Fantasyland and to Main Street. Strolled through a couple shops and headed for the entrance, tram, and home.

04/17/09 5.40 11,812 10 Started off this great spring afternoon heading to DCA. Walked in and met up with the Lazygeek at Taste Pilots Grill for lunch. After lunch we walked by GRR and stopped in the Redwood Creek area for a while. Then we continued on through the Bay area and out to the Pier. Went for a spin on the Zephyr and continued on past the Orange Stinger, around to the new Games of the Boardwalk, Screamin, and back to the Bay area. Walked toward the entrance and made the loop through the backlot, stopping at the Animation Building, then back to the parks entrance and over to Disneyland. I strolled down Main Street USA and found a spot in the hub to grab some pictures of the parade (street party) that was approaching its second stop. Then walked through the Castle and stopped by the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique which officially opened today. After the boutique I continued on through Fantasyland and around the Big Thunder Trail. Stopped by the ranch for a few minutes then was on my way around the Rivers of America and out to NOS. Made a u-turn at Haunted Mansion then walked through Adventureland and over to Tomorrowland. Grabbed a Fastpass for Buzz and then spotted Monorail Orange out running so grabbed some pictures of it passing over the sub lagoon and then headed for the Flag Retreat. After the ceremony ate a corn dog for dinner before walking through Downtown Disney and the Grand CA to get some construction shots. After taking my pictures went to DCA and did another loop of the Pier area. Stopped by the Blue Sky Cellar to see if anything new was out and to check out some concept art then headed for Disneyland. Cuaght a little of the Rumble King at Tomorrowland Terrace and then watched the last stop of the Street Party for the evening then back to Tomorrowland for more Rumble King. It was finally getting dark so headed to DCA for night shots of the Pier. Made the loop again and then walked around GRR and back to Disneyland. Waded through the now thickening crowd and made my way to Tomorrowland. Watched a little of Rumble King set then used my Fastpass for Buzz. It was now about 9pm so time to head to Main Street with the masses and get a spot for Remember. The crowd was heavy and it took me a good 15-20 minutes to make my way around the hub and down the street to a spot I could watch the show (ended up near the Disneyana store). Watched Remember and then headed for the tram, car, and home.

03/03/09 4.08 8,916 8.5 I was pleasantly surprised by the lack of crowds at the parking garage on this cool spring day. Headed for the parks. I headed for DCA while the rest of the group headed for guest relations to get their Birthday Fun Card. I wandered out to the Pier and spent some time observing the on going work from the bridge, near Ariels, then around by Screamin. I made it out to Toy Story and then received a call to meet at the Wharf for lunch, so backtracked and walked across the now re-opened bridge and into the wharf. Grabbed lunch at the Pacific Wharf Cafe and then headed back out to the Pier. Our first stop was Toy Story which had a 40 minute line posted, but it looked shorter. Turns out it was only about 25 minutes. After Toy Story continued on around the Pier past the Games of the Boardwalk, Mickeys Fun Wheel, and the Orange Stinger, taking pictures of the on going work as we walked. Made it back around to the Bay Area and walked by GRR on my way to the Grand Californian to check out the DVC progress. Then it was out to Downtown Disney, through World of Disney, and over to Disneyland. Roamed down Main Street, verred into Tomorrowland and grabbed Fastpasses for Buzz then backtracked to the Castle and into Fantasyland. Walked through the newly re-paved Big Thunder trail, stopping to see the new Celebration BBQ. Then continuing on into Frontierland. Walked through the Hub and tried to go out to Small World by way of the parade route which was already blocked off, so had to hike around Matterhorn. Found a spot out in the Small World Mall to catch the Street Party. After the parade/street party made the loop of Toontown to check out Goofys House which is now re-opened. Then walked back to Tomorrowland and stopped by Innoventions to see if there was anything new. Not really. So headed over to Buzz to use the Fastpasses and then decided to grab some dinner at the Plaza Inn and Village Haus. Walked by the Big Thunder BBQ again and then around to Adventureland. Saw there was no line for the Jungle Cruise so went for a trip. Once back roamed down Main Street and found a spot to catch the Street Party again. After the celebration headed over to DCA. Somehow got talked into visiting Tough to Be a Bug. After the show stopped by the bread tour on our way out to the Pier. Made the circle, hoping to get on Toy Story again, but the line was longer than our patience. After the loop we strolled through GRR and Condor Flats on our way to the entrance, trams, car, and home...

01/17/09 6.06 13,253 12.5 Started off this picture perfect Southern California day waiting in a long line to get into the parking structure. Then hopped a tram to the main entrance and headed for Guest Services to pick up my Birthday Fun Card. Once I had my card I headed for Disneyland. Spent some time roaming around the entrance area and Main Street looking at the new Celebration decordations and ended up in the hub eventually. Decided to start with Tomorrowland, so walked past Buzz, Space Mountain and out to Autopia to grab a Fastpass, then around past Nemo and the Matterhorn on my way to Small World. Walked by Small World and out to Toontown, did the loop of Downtown and the Residential area then doubled back to Fantasyland. Walked by the Castle, saw no line, so went through the Walk Through, then continued on through Fantasyland and around the Big Thunder Trail, stopping at the Ranch for a while. A train was just pulling in so hopped on board and rode around to Tomorrowland. Walked past the HSM 3 show and out to the Wharf area. Decided to stop and see the Bread tour, then took some pictures of the area before heading out to the Pier. Took some pictures and walked around past Screamin. The single rider line for Toy Story only had a couple of people so went for a spin and then continued my loop of the Pier walking past the Sun Wheel work, the Orange Stinger, and back around to the Bay Area. Strolled past GRR and exited to the Grand Californian. Took some pictures of the ongoing work then exited out to Downtown Disney. Walked past the now closed Department 56 store and out toward the monorail station. Noticed no monorails running and they were turning guests away so I turned around and walked back to DCA. Headed down the Backlot, stopping at Off the Page to see if anything looked interesting to use my birthday fun card on. Nothing caught my eye so finished the loop then headed back to Disneyland and into the Disneyana store. Decided on the Tiki Room 45th anniversary cell. After making my purchase decided to take it back to the car and to get some warmer clothes for the evening. After the parking lot tram round trip headed back to DCA. Walked out to the Pier and out to Toy Story. Waited in the regular line, about 30 minutes only. After Toy Story finished the loop and headed for the Redwood Creek Trail. The lines for Jungle Cruise and Pirates were about 10 minutes, but that was longer than I wanted to wait.. so headed out along the Rivers and realized I still had thirty minutes till Fantasmic so headed for the train station. Missed the train and had to wait for the next one, which took a good 10 minutes to show up. They said they were only going as far as Tomorrowland then stopping for the Fireworks. I decided to hang out in NOS for a while and ended up back at the Rivers edge about 5 minutes before Fantasmic started. Watched the show then rushed to Main Street to catch Remember. 01/04/09 5.10 11,151 11.5 Started off this great Southern California day with some good luck at the parking garage, then saw the long lines for the tram and no tram in sites so walked over to the Disneyland Hotel. Walked down the ramp and through the Tomorrowland Terrace, grabbed a Fastpass for Buzz then headed out to Main Street to check the line board before heading over to DCA. Grabbed a Fastpass for Soarin and strolled out to the Pier and went for a spin on Toy Story, it was about a 30 minute wait. Set a new high score for me (212,000+), still well below the posted high scores. Finished the loop of the Pier and decided to use our Fastpass for Soarin. After the show got another set of Haunted Mansion Fastpasses then walked along the Rivers of America and out to the Big Thunder Ranch. Killed some time while friends of ours were getting their picture taken for their passes. We hiked out to Haunted Mansion to get the last two fastpasses we needed and then back to Main Street to wait for the rest of the group. Once they had their passes we then walked through the parade crowd and down the street to get the rest of the Buzz Fastpasses we needed then headed out to Small World for one last ride through. Then walked through the masses in Fantasyland, around the Big Thunder Trail and Rivers of America and out to Haunted Mansion to use our Fastpasses there. After riding we headed back to Main Street by way of Adventureland and arrived just in time to catch the 5:30pm snow fall. After the event continued on to Tomorrowland and used our Fastpasses for Buzz. After saving the galaxy we headed to the Grand Californian by way of DCA. Ate dinner at White Water snacks and then wandered back into DCA. Walked out to the Pier to check the Toy Story line, still posted at 40 minutes so finished the Pier loop and found a spot for the Electrical Parade. 41 243.71 353.5 Totals
Note: These totals may be skewed because the pedometer is zero'd when we start and then left alone and read when we leave. So attractions, and other things may cause extra "steps" to be counted. The pedometer that we use basically measures up/down motion as a step, so if your standing in line and moving up and down it may be counting steps, etc.. so the total distances traveled and steps may be off.. so use these as rough distance comparisons between trips and they may not be accurate in terms of actual distance traveled.
