12/19/08 3.62 7,926 9 Started off this brisk winter afternoon heading for DCA. Walked through the entrance plaza, past the High School Musical 3 show that was going on and out to the Pier. Wandered around taking pictures and made my way to Toy Story Midway Mania. Decided to use the single rider line (even though standby was only 20 minutes), then went by the Midway Games and Sun Wheel work. Continued on around the Pier and finished my loop. Decided to stroll around GRR and then over to the Grand CA to see what was going on. Then headed out to Downtown Disney and over to Disneyland. Walked down Main Street and around the hub before heading into Adventureland and out to New Orleans Square. Grabbed a Fastpass for Haunted Mansion and then continued on to Critter Country. Made the loop out there and walked back along the Rivers of America and past Big Thunder to the Ranch. Stopped to see the Turkey and spent some time roaming the Ranch before doubling back to Frontierland to catch Billy Hill. Then headed back to Main Street and across the hub to Tomorrowland to grab a Buzz Fastpass. Then wandered around the castle and decided to go through the Walk Through since there was no wait. Then headed out to Small World to catch some of the parade and wait for the Small World line to get to a short wait. Hopped on Small World with a couple minute wait. After my voyage headed back to Frontierland to catch the beginning of the Billy Hill show (I entered a couple minutes late last time around). Watched the show for a while then headed to the Castle for some sun set shots, grabbed another Buzz Fastpass and then walked down Main Street to catch the Flag Retreat. Watched the ceremony then headed for DCA and dinner at Taste Pilots Grill. After dinner back to Disneyland to catch the 5:30 snow. After the snow roamed around the Castle and then into Fantasyland and back out to the Ranch to see what was going on. Headed back to Main Street to catch the start of the 6:30 parade and then walked around the castle, through Fantasyland and out to Small World for one last cruise of the season. Got back right at 7:30 and watched the snow even from the Small World Mall. Walked around the Matterhorn and by the Sub Lagoon and caught a little of the Stellar performance at the Tomorrowland Terrace before using my Buzz Fastpass. Headed over to the West side of the park and went for a ride on the Jungle Cruise and then Pirates since both were walk ons. Went to use my HM Fastpass but there seemed to be toon many guests around so instead watched a little Fantasmic before heading to Main Street to find a spot for Believe. Watched the show and snow then headed for the tram, car, and home.

12/14/08 4.35 9,512 11 Started off this cool day arriving at the park just before lunch time. Waited in a long line to park, but luckily a short line for the tram, security, and into the park. Headed for DCA first. Strolled out to the Pier to check on the construction work and walked around past Screamin and to Toy Story. Saw no one in the single rider line so went for a ride and then finished my loop of the Pier. Walked by GRR and into Condor Flats. Decided to grab lunch at Taste Pilots and than headed down the Backlot. Made the circle past Monsters and then doubled back to the Animation Building. Walked through that and the gift shop on my way back to the Sunshine Plaza. Decided to head out to the Grand Californain to check out the DVC work and the holiday decorations then headed for Downtown Disney. Walked through the Department 56 store and then out to the monorail station. Hopped on Monorail Blue and rode to Disneyland. Disembarked in Tomorrowland and grabbed a Fastpass for Buzz. Circled by Pixie Hollow and then to the Caslte. Walked through the Grotto and around back of the Castle to get in line for the walk through. The line stretched all the way around the West side and out to the bridge. Waited about 30 minutes and walked through the castle. Then stopped by Tomorrowland again to grab some more Buzz Fastpasses before heading off to Frontierland and NOS to see what was going on. Not much except a long line for Haunted Mansion. Took the train over to Toontown and disembarked. Found a spot to watch some of the parade and wait for the Small World line to shrink a bit. It did and we went on Small World Holiday. Once off headed for Toontown for a while then off to Tomorrowland to use our Buzz Fastpasses. Decided it was a good time for a dinner break so walked through the Castle and Fantasyland to the Village Haus for dinner. After dinner strolled back through the Caslte to Main Street. Hung around the Caslte for a while taking some pictures then caught the Bolt Pre-parade as it came rolling down the street. I did not like my pictures so I walked quickly through the caslte and Fantasyland to the Small World mall to catch it again and get some better shots. Decided to head out to Toontown to check out the lights and then back to the train and rode around to Main Street. Got there about the time the parade was finishing up, so saw the final couple of floats. We let the crowd thin out a bit and looked through some of the shops on Main Street. We wandered down to the hub to watch the 7:30 snow event and then headed for Tomorrowland to catch the 7:45 Elvis show. After the show walked through Adventureland and stopped for a snack at the River Belle Terrace. After eating found a spot for Fantasmic. As the finale came we hurried along to Main Street to catch Believe, which was luckily delayed a bit. This allowed us to find a good spot before the show began. Watched Believe and the snow fall then headed for the tram, car, and home.

11/21/08 1.98 4,191 10 Started off this great November afternoon heading for Disneyland. Dropped off some warm clothes in the lockers then headed out to NOS to grab a set of Fastpasses for Haunted Mansion before turning around and heading over to DCA. Some of us grabbed lunch at Taste Pilots(as well as Soarin Fastpasses) and the rest out at the Pacific Wharf Cafe. After filling up it was time to walk around the new completely drained bay and take some pictures. We wanted to ride Toy Story but it was down (seems to be a regular occurrance). So finished the loop of the Pier. Caught a little of the HSM 3 show since it was blocking our path then continued on to the Blue Sky Cellar. Then we headed for Fliks Fun Fair. Most went on Soarin at this point and I headed for the Backlot, made the loop and then walked over to the Grand Californian. Took some shots of the construction then wandered through Downtown Disney and back to Disneyland. Hopped on the train to NOS and grabbed another Fastpass for Haunted Mansion then walked along the Rivers, through Frontierland, and through the Castle to join up with the rest of the group that had now finished with Soarin (and grabbed some Buzz Fastpasses). The Castle Walkthrough was not open, but its looking close. We walked through Fantasyland and out to Toontown. Wandered around a little and then back near Small World to line up for the parade. I wanted to catch the Bolt Pre-parade, which of course was not running.. they had two bands and Narnia. After the parade we pushed our way through the crowd and hopped on Small World Holiday with only a couple minute wait. After Small World we strolled back through Fantasyland and around the Big Thunder trail. Stopped at the Holiday Roundup to see the reindeer and Santa briefly before heading back to Main Street. Grabbed a couple more Buzz Fastpasses and then caught the Flag Retreat. After the retreat grabbed our sweatshirts and then milled around till the tree lighting. Spend some time on Main Street and wandered down toward the castle to watch the 5:30 Snow event. After the snow it was time for dinner. I headed for a Corn Dog, others for the River Belle Terrace and we met up at the Golden Horseshoe. After eating we walked through the Big Thunder Trail and Fantasyland on our way towards its a Small World. We arrived about the time the Toyland unit from the parade was approaching. We hopped in line, had about a 5 minute wait, for Small World. After riding we hung around and watched the 7:30 Snow Event and projection show on Small World. After the show we strolled past Matterhorn and through the gardens near Pixie Hollow on our way to Tomorrowland. Went for a spin on Buzz using our Fastpasses. Then headed over to Haunted Mansion by way of Adventureland. Used our Fastpasses for HMH and then walked through NOS taking some pictures of the area. Wandered through Adventureland and out to Main Street. Spent some time in the shops on Main Street and then queued up for Believe in Holiday Magic. Watched the show and snow and then headed for the tram, cars, and home.

10/31/08 6.57 14,373 7.5 Started off this Halloween afternoon heading for Disneyland. Wandered around Town Square taking some character shots then roamed down Main Street, around the hub, and walked by Pixie Hollow. The line was longer than my patience so tried to get some shots in the exit and from around the outside of the area and then headed into Tomorrowland. Grabbed a Fastpass for Buzz and circled by Space Mountain, Autopia, Nemo, and the Matterhorn on my way out to Small World. Small World gifts has reopened so took some pictures there then headed out to Toontown. Made the loop and wandered back through Fantasyland, around the castle and then along the Big Thunder trail. Stopped by the Halloween Round-up and then continued on to Frontierland and New Orleans Square. Spent some time looking at the Holiday decorations, grabbed a Fastpass for Haunted Mansion Holiday and then continued on to Critter Country. Circled around and walked back along the Rivers of America. Cut through Adventureland and walked down Main Street and over to DCA. Decided to stop by the Blue Sky Cellar to check out something on the model and then strolled out to the Pier. Walked by Burger Invasion and then out to the now walled off Sun Wheel and Midway Games. Checked the line for Toy Story, too long and no single rider. Spent some time taking pictures of the area and then walked through the Wharf and into Bugsland. Circled through Fliks and then headed for the Sunshine Plaza to grab a spot for the High School Musical show that was a bout to begin. Watched the show then walked through Condor Flats, around GRR, and back out to the Pier. Tried to get a couple more pictures of HSM3 in the Bay Area and then headed for the Backlot. Decided to go for a spin on Monsters since it was a walk on. Unfortunately it jammed up and stopped when we were just about to the end. After getting evacuated from the attraction decided to grab a bite to eat at Taste Pilots and then headed for the Grand Californian. Took some pictures of the new wing and then walked out to Downtown Disney. Headed back to DCA and out to the Pier to check on the Toy Story line, still over 30 minutes and no single rider so circled back and killed some time at the Blue Sky Cellar before catching the Pixar Play Parade which was delayed (it did not start until after 5:30). After the parade it was back to Disneyland. Stopped at the Christmas store on Main Street and then walked through Pixie Hollow (the Pixies quite a 5:00pm then you can walk through the area with no wait). I snapped off a bunch of pictures then walked around the Castle a bit and back to Fantasyland. Decided to head out to the ranch to catch the end of the Roundup, it closed at 6:30. After it closed I headed for New Orleans Square and some night shots. Then over to Haunted Mansion to use my Fastpass. Hopped on the train and rode around to Tomorrowland and used my Buzz Fastpass. Paused for a minute to hear the 80s All Starz at Tomorrowland Terrace then walked back through Pixie Hollow, around the Castle and into Adventureland. The line for Jungle Cruise was too long and Indy and Pirates were both closed so I took that as a sign and decided to double back, stroll down Main Street and head for the tram, car, and home.

10/17/08 N/A N/A 7.5 Started off this great fall afternoon heading for California Adventure. Walked through Candy Corn Acres and then out to the Winery and the Blue Sky Cellar. Walked past the Vinyard and up to the entrance, showed my Annual Pass (it was an AP preview day) and walked right in. Spent the next 30-45 minutes roaming around and trying to get pictures of everything inside. Then headed out for the Pier to see what was new. Walked along the Bay and out to Burger Invasion, then circled around by the Sun Wheel and Toy Story (which was down). Finished the loop of the Pier and walked through the Wharf, Farm, and around Bugsland. Backtracked through the entrance and down the Backlot. Finished the loop and cut through the Animation Building and gift shop on my way back to the entrance and over to Disneyland. Roamed down Main Street, stopping at the newly re-opened watch store, now called Fortuosity Store. After browsing through the store continued down Main Street, stopped by the Line Board, then circled past the Castle and into Tomorrowland. All the walls are down, so tried to get some pictures of the new pavement and then grabbed a Fastpass for Buzz. Walked by Space Mountain, Autopia, and Nemo on my way back toward Main Street to see what I can see of the Pixie Hollow work. Walked past Alice and the Matterhorn on my way out to the Small World Mall. Took a look at Small World and then circled Toontown before heading back to the Princess Faire and hopped on the Disneyland Railroad to get a better view of Small World. I disembarked at Tomorrowland and walked by the Matterhorn and out to the Castle. Cut through the East side walkway by the Wishing Well and then walked through Fantasyland and out to the Big Thunder Ranch. I continued on down the trail and into Frontierland. Stopped to take pictures of the Halloween tree and then onto New Orleans Square. Stopped at the Angels Courtyard to see what they have done there, then walked by the newly re-opened train station area. Grabbed a Fastpass for Haunted Mansion Holiday and then strolled out to Critter Country. Circled around and then walked along the Rivers of America and back toward Adventureland. Headed for Main Street and then back over to DCA. Decided to grab some dinner at Taste Pilots Grill and then walked by GRR and back out to the Pier. Toy Story was still down but they were cycling so stuck around and in about 10 minutes they re-opened. So my total wait time turned out to be about 20 minutes. The Pixar Play Parade was wrapping up its run and I caught the last couple of units from near the Maliboomer. I then walked along the Bay, taking a look at some of the Halloween Party sets they were setting up. The park was now closed (it closed at 6:00pm). I walked by GRR and out to the Grand Californian to see the DVC work. After taking my fill of pictures it was out to Downtown Disney and then back over to Disneyland. The park was considerably more crowded now with DCA closed and they were preparing for the 7:00pm parade. I followed the masses down Main Street and then cut trhough Adventureland and out to NOS. Decided to use my Fastpass for Haunted Mansion. After riding stopped by the Angel Courtyard again for night shots and then walked through Adventureland and back to Main Street. Made it across before the parade came down the street and went over to catch the 7:00pm set of Scot Bruce/Elvis at the Tomorrowland Terrace. After his set took a spin on Buzz and then back to catch the 7:45 set. After that set walked along the Sub Lagoon and through Fantasyland, around the Big Thunder Trail and into Frontierland. Decided it was approaching 9:00pm and I would start heading home, so walked down Main Street, stopping at the Disneyana shop and then out to the trams, car, and home.

9/26/08 9.91 20,934 7 Started off this pleasant afternoon heading for Disneyland. Wandered down Main Street looking at the Halloween decorations and circled the hub. Strolled through Tomorrowland and out past the Matterhorn, Small World, and into Toontown. Made the loop and then jumped on the Disneyland Railroad. Exited the train in Tomorrowland and walked back to the hub and around the Pixie Hollow work. Cut through the Castle and Fantasyland on my way to the Big Thunder trail. Stopped at Woodys Halloween Roundup to see if there was anything new going on (not really) and continued on into Frontierland. Walked around a bit and then through NOS and grabbed a Fastpass for Haunted Mansion. Continued on to Critter Country, turned around and back through NOS and Adventureland to the Hub. Decided to go for a spin on the Astro Orbitor and then headed over to DCA. Walked around Candy Corn Acres then Bugsland and out to the Pier. Took a look across the water and turned back to GRR and the Grand Californian. Walked through the Grand Californian and then out to Downtown Disney and back into Disneyland. Hiked down Main Street and back through Adventureland. Grabbed another Fastpass for Haunted Mansion then walked around the Rivers to the Halloween Roundup to catch the 3:45pm Woodys Adventure show. After the show walked through the park and over to DCA. I wanted to see if I could catch the Candy Corn Acres show (which I saw no schedule posted for, so not even 100% sure they have it this year). I waited around till 4:30 which was when the guidemap listed the Acres as closing, the only thing going on was a character meet and greet. So I headed back to Disneyland to watch the Flag Retreat, then back to DCA for dinner at Taste Pilots Grill. After dinner strolled out to the Pier. Walked by the Burger Invasion work and then hopped on the Sun Wheel. After my trip around the Sun stopped to see the Pixar Play Parade near the end of the route (across from the Orange Stinger, then doubled back and got in line for Toy Story Mania. Used the single rider line, so it turned out to be a short wait. Finished my loop of the Pier and headed for the Backlot. There was a private party going on and quite a few people in the area. Still no line for Monsters so went on that, saw Tower was only a 15 minute wait. I walked back to the Animation Building and stopped to see the new displays. Then headed for Disneyland. Got caught in the post parade traffic so waded my way through the masses to Adventureland. I noticed no wait for Pirates so went for a ride, then continued on to the Haunted Mansion to use my Fastpass. After riding debated about riding again, but decided to head over to Tomorrowland, by way of Frontierland, to catch a little of the 80s All Starz who were at the TOmorrowland Terrace. After their set walked back to Main Street to take some pictures and then headed for the tram, car, and home.

9/19/08 10.43 22,039 8 Started off this great afternoon heading for Disneyland. Walked around Town Square then down the street, stopping at Greg Emmers new window on Main Street, to the hub. Circled the hub and wandered into Tomorrowland, walked around the construction walls and then the Sub lagoon on my way out to the Small World Mall. Hopped on the train and rode over to Tomorrowland. Walked by the Matterhorn, the Pixie Hollow Construction, and into Fantasyland near Alice. Walked through Fantasyland and around the Big Thunder Trail. Saw the Mark Twain in port so went for a ride around the Rivers of America. Once back on land, walked along the river and out to Critter Country, made the circle and then back through New Orleans Square. Over the bridge and through Adventureland on my way to Main Street. Next headed for DCA. Walked through Condor Flats grabbing a Fastpass for Soarin and then by GRR and through the Bay Area. Circled the Pier, walking by Burger Invasion and then out to the Sun Wheel for a spin (its still running, the project was delayed). After my trip around the sun checked out the Toy Story line which was too long for my taste, so finished the loop of the Pier then headed through the Wharf. Stopped at the Bread Tour for a quick snack and then continued on through the Farm and into Bugsland. Looped around there and then walked through the entrance plaza and down the Backlot. Circled by Muppets and Monsters and ended up back at the Animation Building. Stopped by to see what was going on then headed back to Disneyland. The parade was going on so thought I would take the train to avoid it, but unfortunately the train was closed for some reason, no indication of why. So hiked along the parade route and out to the hub. Walked through Adventureland and into Frontierland. It was just after 4:00pm so stopped to see the Billys at the Golden Horseshoe. After the show wandered through Frontierland and out to Main Street to catch the Flag Retreat. After the ceremony went over to Taste Pilots at DCA for dinner. Then headed out to the Pier and decided to go on Toy Story. Once off I notcied the Pixar Play Parade was just making it to the Pier, so I walked around and caught the parade. Next up a walk through the Grand Californian to see the DVC work progress, then strolled through Downtown Disney and back to Disneyland, where once again I encountered the parade. This time though the train was running, so I rode around to Tomorrowland. I stopped by Innoventions and then caught some of the Suburban Legends set at Tomorrowland Terrace. I was informed, by my brother, that Friday was International Talk Like a Pirate Day, so I had to go ride Pirates... so headed over to NOS, by way of Adventureland, and went for a ride. After Pirates headed back to Tomorrowland to see if the new Monorails were running yet. Nothing yet, so watched more of Suburban Legends, then noticed Monorail Red was out. Went for a round trip voyage on Monorail Red and then tried to get some shots of the Sub Lagoon at night. Caught another couple songs from Suburban Legends before heading to Main Street. Waded through the masses awaiting Remember and down Main Street. Decided to head for the tram and watch the show from the garage. Instead I was greeted by long lines at the tram stop and only one tram in sight, so decided to hike back to the garage. Made it to the crosswalk just as Remember was starting. Watched the end of the show from the garage and then headed for the car and home.

9/05/08 6.65 14,530 7.5 The off season has arrived at the Disneyland Resort, so I spent the afternoon/evening enjoying the less crowded park. I started off heading for Disneyland. Stepped onto Main Street and hopped aboard the Omni Bus since it was boarding. Rode up Main Street and disembarked near the castle. Walked into Tomorrowland and went for a spin on the Astro Orbitor since there was no line. Then I continued into Tomorrowland. Walked by Space Mountain (only a 5 minute wait) and then Nemo (which had a 30 minute wait). Headed out to Small World to see what was new and decided to go for a round trip ride on the Disneyland Railroad. Once back at Toontown station walked up to Toontown, made the circle then headed to Fantasyland. Walked by the Castle and then through the new crystal shop. Walked around the Big Thunder Trail and then the Rivers of America on my way to Critter Country. Looped around and then back through the harbor and to NOS. Stopped to see if you could see anything through the walls, not really, then continued on to Adventureland and back to Main Street. Headed over to DCA. Walked through Condor Flats, grabbed a Fastpass for Soarin, passed GRR and entered the Pier area. Walked by MM and stopped to grab some shots of Burger Invasion. Continued on to the Sun Wheel and went for one last trip around the Sun (work begins in a week or so). Then decided to go on Toy Story, used the single rider line, about 10 minutes, the regular line was 25. Scored a new high score for myself, 178,000. After Toy Story wandered around and back to the front of the park. Decided to head to Disneyland to catch the Flag Retreat, after the ceremony back to DCA and grabbed dinner at Taste Pilots. After dinner decided to watch the Pixar Play Parade from the entrance plaza and then strolled down the Backlot. Went for a ride on Monsters since there was no line at all then walked by the Hyperion and Tower of Terror before heading over to the Bay Area. Stopped by Golden Dreams for one last viewing of the film (this shuts down next week) and then out to the Pier. The crowd was starting to pick up but I was hoping to get on Toy Story again, unfortunately the wait was up to 40 minutes and the single rider line looked to be over a dozen people too (which 20-30 minutes probably), so I made the loop and then headed over to the Grand Californian. Walked by the construction and then out to Downtown Disney. Walked through the World of Disney and into Disneyland. Strolled down Main Street and into Tomorrowland. Decided to jump in line for Nemo since it was only 30 minutes. After Nemo went for a night cruise on the Mark Twain (since Fantasmic is not being performed) and then wandered into Adventureland. The Tiki Room was boarding so stopped by there. After the show headed down Main Street and back to the garage, car and headed home.

8/29/08 6.77 14,796 8.5 Started off this muggy (well for Southern California muggy) Friday afternoon walking over to the Disneyland Hotel from the Mickey and Friends Garage. Walked around the Health/Fitness Expo that was going on at the convention center as part of the half marathon weekend. After making the loop through the displays strolled through Downtown Disney and over to Disneyland. Walked down Main Street and stopped for a late lunch at the Corn Dog Wagon. After lunch headed for Tomorrowland, grabbed a Fastpass for Buzz, then stopped by Innoventions (before heading in caught a glimpse of the new Monorail Blue being tested, still no guests allowed on). After Innoventions walked around the walls of the former Ariels Grotto and then grabbed another set of Fastpasses for Buzz. Walked through Adventureland and New Orleans Square. Noticed no line for the Haunted Mansion so went for a ride (it closes this up coming week for the annual holiday transformation). After HM hopped on the train and rode around to Main Street. Walked over to DCA and walked toward the Pier. Along the way took a detour through Bugsland and the Wharf. Once out on the Pier took a look at the Toy Story line, 45 minutes, so kept going walking. Stopped for a quick drink at the Pizza Place and then back to the Sun Wheel for a trip around the Sun (only a couple weeks left to do this) and then back toward Toy Story, where the line was only 40 minutes now, still too long so went for the single rider line. We strolled along the Pier and back to the Bay Area, arriving just in time to catch the Pixar Play Parade. After the parade walked toward the front of the park, stopping at the Winery to see what was new. Walked down the Backlot, circling by Monsters, Tower, and ending up in the Animation Building. Walked through the gift shop and then back to the Sun Plaza. Headed for the Grand Californian (cutting through Condor Flats). Tooks some pictures and waited for the Lazygeek in the Lobby. Grabbed dinner at White Water Snacks and then headed back into DCA. Walked out to the Pier and by Toy Story, the line was pushing an hour, so instead opted to go on the Carrousel before heading over to Disneyland. Once at Disneyland went to Tomorrowland and used our Buzz Fastpasses, then waded through the crowd on a path for New Orleans Square. Walked through the Frontierland gate right as Fantasmic was starting, then cut over to Adventureland. There was no real wait for Pirates so went for ride. Came out of Pirates as the fireworks were just starting. We headed for Main Street, it took us all the way till the finale to make it to Town Square. Headed out of the park and into Downtown Disney. Stopped for some Kettle Corn and to check something at World of Disney then headed for the tram, cars, and home.

7/17/08 6.38 13,941 7.5 Started off this great Southern California day heading for Disneyland. Spent a couple minutes in Town Square and then wandered down and around the Hub. Walked past the Matterhorn and into Tomorrowland. Ended up lining up for Innoventions, which was 20 minutes to get in. Spent some time exploring the Dream House (house the future) and then exited back to Tomorrowland. Grabbed a Fastpass for Buzz and then hiked out to Toontown. Walked through Donalds Boat since it was being worked on last time I was in Toontown. Then walked through Fantasyland, around the Big Thunder Trail and through New Orleans Square. Circled back to Adventureland and saw there was no line so went for a spin on the Jungle Cruise. After surviving the adventure ended up on Main Street. The College Band was doing the Pre-parade, so watched that show then hiked over to DCA. Walked down the backlot and grabbed some pictures of the Wall-E props on the Backlot and then headed for the Pier, by way of the Wharf. I was running a bit short on time and there seemed to be a fairly long line at Toy Story so walked around GRR and then to Condor Flats to grab an early dinner at Taste Pilots. After dinner walked through the Grand Californian and took some shots of the DVC work. Then it was back to Disneyland (by way of Downtown Disney) for the rededication in Town Square. After the brief ceremony I headed back to DCA to catch the Pixar Play Parade then out to the Pier. Went for a spin on Toy Story Mania then a trip around the Sun on the Sun Wheel. Once back on the ground strolled back to Disneyland, making a quick detour through the Wharf and Bugsland. I had 30 minutes to spare so took the Grand Circle tour on the Disneyland Railroad, making it back with about 5 minutes to spare before the College Band set. Watched their show and then headed for Tomorrowland. Saw Monorail Red was running so went for a ride in the tail cone to DD then a regular car back to Disneyland. Caught some of the Elvis set at the Tomorrowland Terrace and then headed for the car and home.

6/27/08 5.76 12,605 13 Started off this overcast morning heading for Disneyland. We arrived about 8:15ish, so we were right after the opening rush. We wandered down Main Street and decided to visit Fantasyland. The lines were non-existant so we waited about 5 minutes for Peter Pan, walked on Mr Toad, walked on Dumbo, Casey Jr, Pinocchio, the Carrousel, Snow White, the Mad Tea Party, and Alice before heading over to Tomorrowland to grab a Fastpass for Buzz. We managed to accomplish all of this and it was only 9:30, which meant time to head to DCA. Entered the park and walked through Condor Flats, grabbing a Soarin Fastpass, and then lined up near GRR for the rope drop. They informed everyone that Toy Story was not opening when the park opened. We still went ahead and hiked out to Toy Story. There were no signs of opening soon, so we went for a ride on the Sun Wheel, then milled around waiting for Toy Story to open. We were finally able to ride about 11:45. After riding we walked over to the Bay Area and started to get lunch, some ate a bread bowl, and we met up at Taste Pilots where others had a hamburger. After lunch used our Soarin Fastpasses then walked through the Grand Californian, grabbing some shots of the DVC work. Then it was off to Downtown Disney and into Disneyland. We had a little time to kill so we strolled into Tomorrowland to see if the Dream House was open, it was not, so we walked around Innoventions a bit then headed down to Buzz to grab new Fastpasses and use our existing ones. After Buzz it was time for the College Band at Plaza Gardens, watched their set then wandered through Frontierland and over to NOS, walked around a bit and decided to head for Adventureland and watch the Indy show, we just barely made it in, we were among the last 10 people in. After the show caught the random acts of Indy and then paused for a Dole Whip and caught Billy Hill. Headed down Main Street for the Flag Retreat and then back to the Castle for the College Band set. Grabbed a corn dog before heading over to Tomorrowland for another College Band set. Used our last set of Buzz Fastpasses and cut through the stores on the East side of Main Street (to avoid the Parade) as we headed down for the last College Band set. After the set, we split up again. I ran to the car for sweatshirts, and the rest headed for the Toy Story line at DCA (which was about 90 minutes). I joined the line and we waited... the waited.. then finally got on, a little after 9pm. After riding joined the masses as the Electrical Parade was just passing through the Bay Area. We walked by GRR and decided to cut through the Grand Californian and head for the trams, the car, and home.

6/20/08 5.92 12,944 8 Started off this hot summer day heading for DCA. Walked through Condor Flats, grabbed a Fastpass for Soarin along the way, and around GRR on my way to the Pier. Hiked out to Toy Story to see the line, it was about an hour twenty, so I kept walking. The Sun Wheel was a walk on so I headed that way, but then noticed the time and skipped it and headed toward Disneyland. I finished the loop of the Pier, cut through the Wharf, made a quick pit stop in Fliks Fun Fair to get some water, then hiked over to Disneyland. Walked down Main Street to Plaza Gardens and arrived just as the College Band was taking the stage for their 2:20 show. Watched the show then wandered through Adventureland and NOS on my way to Critter Country, turned around and walked along the Rivers of America and down the Big Thunder Trail. Noticed there was no line for Casey Jr. so went for a ride and then continued on to the Small World Mall and out to Toontown. Circled the area and headed to Tomorrowland by way of the Big Thunder Trail. Walked up the ramp to Innoventions to take a peak down on the House of Tomorrow (which still is not open). I decided to take the train to Main Street to by pass the parade. I headed over to DCA and wandered down the Backlot to grab some pictures of the newly opened seating area. Circled through that area and decided to get an early dinner at Taste Pilots Grill. After eating it was back to Disneyland and the Flag Retreat. After the ceremony walked down Main Street and into Tomorrowland. Grabbed a Fastpass for Buzz and then wandered over toward the Castle to find a spot in the shade to watch the 5pm College Band set there. After their set walked back to Tomorrowland and used my Fastpass for Buzz before the 6pm College Band set started at the Tomorrowland Terrace. After their set I walked through Frontierland and to NOS. There was no line for Pirates so I walked on. After Pirates walked through Adventureland and out to Main Street to catch the 7:05 College Band set in front of the Train Station. After the set headed for DCA. Walked through the Farm area stopping at Fliks for some more water before heaeding to the Pier. Toy Story Mania was down, and had been for 45 minutes according to the CM, so I hopped in the line and waited. It opened about 20 minutes later. After Toy Story head for the trams, catching the finale of the Electrical Parade, and then for home.

6/09/08 8.48 18,535 7 I started off this great day heading for DCA. Walked down the parade route and through the Wharf to catch a little of the Hi Seoul Korea Performing Arts Showcase. Then I trekked out to Toy Story Mania. I took my fill of pictures of the queue and then watched Mr. Potato Head for a while before continuing my loop of the Pier. The Sun Wheel line was too long for my tastes so finished up the loop back at the Wharf. Caught a little of the next set of the Seoul group then walked by GRR and through Condor Flats on my way over to Disneyland. Wandered down Main Street USA and verred into Adventureland. Circled by Pirates and along the Rivers of America on my way to the Big Thunder Trail. Continued on to Fantasyland, walked around the castle, then on to Small World. Hiked out to Toontown before heading past the Matterhorn and into Tomorrowland. Decided to try and catch some of the Indy show, so hiked over to Adventureland just as Indy was making his appearance above the shops on the right. I climbed up the Tree House to try and get a better vantage point of the 3rd scene. Then I walked back throguh Adventureland to Main Street and on over to DCA. Stopped by the Wharf and caught part of another set of the Seoul group before heading over to the Grand Californian. Took my construction pictures then out to Downtown Disney and back to DCA. I was killing some time waiting for the Lazygeek so hiked out to catch the last set from teh Seoul group, then circled the backlot and hung out near the entrance to DCA. Met up at the Info booth and got our passes for Toy Story Mania then headed for the attraction. The wait was about 15 minutes. Went for our ride then walked around the Pier and some grabbed dinner from the corn dog castle and Tast Pilots then back to the boardwalk for another ride through Toy Story Mania. Decided to check the line at Monsters (too long) then stopped by the Animation Building for a visit before heading back to the garage, cars, and home.

5/30/08 6.08 13,284 9 I started off this perfect spring day heading for Disneyland. I roamed down Main Street and into Adventureland. I spend some time looking around at hte clues Indiana Jones had left scattered around the land and then hopped on the Jungle Cruise. After my trip I lined up for the Indiana Jones and the Secret of the Stone Tiger show. Watched the show and then spent some time in Adventureland watching the three mini Indiana Jones events. Then it was time to head for DCA. Walked around the entrance plaza and then out to the Pier, taking a brief detour through the winery to see if anything new was going on there. Walked around Toy Story Mania and the new ODV stands (all of which are now complete). Then went for a ride on the Sun Wheel. After my trip around the sun continued on past the Orange Stinger, the Corn Dog Castle and through the Bay Area. Walked through GRR and into Condor Flats, circled back and entered the Grand Californian. Took some DVC shots and then out to Downtown Disney and back to Disneyland. Strolled down Main Street and into Tomorrowland. Grabbed a Fastpass for Buzz and then continued on to the Sub Lagoon. Saw the Mark VII monorail still testing. I circled the Matterhorn, walked through Fantasyland, around the Big Thunder Trail and through Frontierland on my way back to Main Street to catch the Flag Retreat. After the ceremony went back to DCA and grabbed dinner at the Taste Pilots Grill. Once done eating I found a spot to watch the Pixar Play Parade and then I walked through the Backlot, stopping at the Animation Building before doubling back and returning to Disneyland. Once in Disneyland hopped on the train and rode around to Toontown. Walked through the Gag Factory to see the new Build a Ear display and then took some pictures of the other work going on around Toontown. Stopped by Small World to see if there is any visible progress, not really, caught the Prince Caspian Preparade, and then walked through Tomorrowland. The line for Nemo was under an hour so decided to give it a try (turned out to be 45 minutes since only six subs were working). Once back on the surface hiked up to Innoventions and then back down to the Tomorrowland Terrace to catch some of the Scot Bruce (Elvis) set. While watching I noticed the mule (the tow tractor for the monorail out) so walked over to the lagoon to see which one was down, I assumed it was the old Purple one, I was wrong, the new Mark VII was towed back to the round house. I went back and caught the end of the Elvis set, then headed over to Buzz to use my Fastpass. After saving the Galaxy caught a little of the 8:35pm Elvis set before heading to New Orleans Square to catch Fantasmic. As the Mark Twain finished its run I headed for Main Street to catch Remember. After the show hiked to the tram, then the car and home.

5/16/08 6.15 13,004 8 Started off this hot Southern California day (the car said 100 degrees when I got off the freeway) heading for DCA. I was taking pictures of the work on the Sun fountain when I caught a glimpse of the new Monorail red going by the Golden Gate Bridge, so I reversed course and headed for Disneyland. Walked down Main Street, circled by the castle and then out toward Tomorrowland. The new Mark VII was just pulling out of the station so I had a few minutes and walked over to Buzz to grab a Fastpass and then back up to the Monorail platform to get some pictures. It is not open to the public to ride in yet, so pictures from the platform is the best I could do. After getting my fill of shots I walked around Matterhorn and out to Small World, then on to Toontown. Walked through Fantasyland and around the Big Thunder trail to Adventureland. Noticed no line for the Jungle Cruise so went for a ride. Once back headed over to DCA. Walked through the farm area and out to Fliks Fun Fair, made the loop and then continued on through the farm, wharf, and out to the Pier. Walked over to Toy Story Mania where some of the walls are down. You can now visit the gift shop as well as the new ODV structure and shade structures. Went for a trip around the sun on the Sun Wheel and then finished the loop of the Pier. When I got around to the Bay Area, Golden Dreams had just opened its doors, so I stopped by to see the show, and take in some A/C. After the show walked by GRR, grabbing some shots of the on going work, then over to the Grand Californian for the DVC work. Walked through Downtown Disney and back to Disneyland. Roamed Main Street for a while, grabbed some water, then found a spot for the Flag Retreat. After the ceremony it was over to DCA for dinner at Taste Pilots Grill then the Pixar Play Parade. After the parade walked down the backlot, hopped on Monsters since it was a walk on, then circled back and stopped in the Animation Building. Then it was back to Disneyland. Walked out to Tomorrowland and hiked up to Innoventions. Made the circle then walked up to see the Monorail again before deciding to take the train to NOS to avoid some of the parade traffic. Once I disembarked the train I realized there was no line for the Haunted Mansion so I decided to visit with the ghosts for a while. Then I continued on to Critter Country before walking back along the River and over to New Orleans Square. Walked through Frontierland and back to Tomorrowland. Stopped by the Star Trader, had some time to kill so used the Fastpass for Buzz, then caught a couple songs at the Tomorrowland Terrace, Stellar was performing. Saw Monorail Red was still out so grabbed a couple pictures as the sun was setting then headed over to DCA. Walked through Bugs again (the coldest drinking fountain I found was there) then out to the Pier. Walked by Midway Mania then doubled back and around to find a spot for the Electrical Parade. Watched some of the parade then headed for the tram back to the garage. Caught the fireworks from there before heading home.

Strolled down Main Street, around the hub, and into Tomorrowland via the walkway between Matterhorn and the backside of Buzz. Walked by the subs and the monorail and then turned around and headed toward Small World and into Toontown. Made the loop of Toontown and then walked back through Fantasyland and around the Big Thunder Trail, stopping at the ranch. Next up over to DCA. Walked through Condor Flats stopping to grab a Fastpass for Soarin and then continued around GRR and out to the Pier. Something was set up in the Cove but no indication of what. After the session I made the full loop of the Pier first walking by the Corn Dog Castle, Burger Invasion, etc.. around to the Sun Wheel. When for a spin and then continued on past Screamin and back to the Bay Area and through Bugsland. Walked past Muppets and Monsters and stopped in the Animation Building for a while. Next up strolled through Condor Flats and over to the Grand Californian. Got my construction shots and then headed through Downtown Disney and back to Disneyland. Made my way back to Tomorrowland and caught a little of the Instant Replay set, while waiting to get on Buzz, which was down. Gave up and spent some time walking around the Castle taking pictures and then through Plaza Gardens and into Frontierland. Noticed there was no line for Pirates so went for a cruise then hopped on the train and rode around to the front of the park. Walked over to DCA now that it was dark and hiked out to the Pier to see what was lit up on Toy Story Mania, not much. Took some pictures then found a place to watch the Electrical Parade. About half way through the parade I headed for the trams so I could catch the fireworks from the garage, did that then headed home.

Stopped on Main Street for a while to see if there was going to be a pre-parade with the new car, I did not see it, so I continued on down the street and into Adventureland. Walked through the crowded avenue then cut through the River Belle Terrace and into Frontierland. I walked around the Big Thunder trail and into Fantasyland, then out to Small World and a loop of Toontown. Cut across the parade route and walked around the Matterhorn and into Tomorrowland. 3/14/08 8.31 18,166 8 Started off this mild afternoon heading for Calfiornia Adventure. Walked down the parade route and out to the Pier area. Walked around by Screamin and then around Toy Story Mania (the walkway is open again). I stopped by the Sun Wheel and the line was longer than what I had the patience to wait for so I kept on going past the Orange Stinger and back to the Bay Area. Strolled by GRR, stopping to take some pictures of the new bridge, then continued on through Condor Flats and down the Backlot. Made the loop and then waited to see if there was any shot of making it into the 2:30 Playhouse Disney. There was not, I was too late. So I walked over to the Grand Californian to take pictures of the work going on there, then out to Downtown Disney, and over to Disneyland. Wandered down Main Street USA, stopping for pictures at Bob Gurrs new window, then the Lineboard before finding my way into Adventureland. The Jungle Cruise line was too long for me, so I continued on to NOS. I noticed the Mark Twain was in port so I headed over there and went for a trip around the Rivers of America. Once back on the mainland I headed for Fantasyland by way of the Big Thunder Trail. Circled through Fantasyland and then out toward Toontown. Walked through Toontown then doubled back to the train station and hopped on to get to Tomorrowland (and by pass the parade). I decided to head back to Disneyland, so walked around GRR, through Condor Flats and over to Disneyland. Walked down Main Street and checked out the line board and then went to Tomorrowland. Caught a part of the Steller set at Tomorrowland Terrace before going into Innoventions. Then headed back through the hub and over to Adventureland. 3/08/08 8.06 17,027 12 Started off this picture perfect Southern California morning heading for the Grand Californian to get some pictures of the DVC work. Strolled along the Rivers of America and out to Critter Country. Made the loop and walked back through NOS. Stopped to listen to the Pirate band that was playing on the Island and then walked through Adventureland to check on the line for the Jungle Cruise. It was longer than my tolerance so walked around the Hub a bit, Plaza Gardens, then stopped by the Disneyana store before going back over to DCA. I walked down the backlot and made the loop past Tower and Monsters. Caught the end of the High School Musical show in the entrance plaza and then back to Disneyland. Hiked out to Toontown, made the loop then walked back through the hub and over to Frontierland. Circled by the Jungle Cruise again, grabbed another Buzz Fastpass and then decided to stroll through Downtown Disney to see what was going on. Spent some time at the ESPN Zone checking out the scores then walked back to the parking garage. Grabbed some clothes for later in the evening and took the tram back to Disneyland. Walked down Main Street and out to Fantasyland. The line for Casey Jr did not look too bad so hopped in it. After 15 minutes we moved maybe 15 feet so bailed out of that slow moving line and strolled through the Big Thunder trail and over to Frontierland. Went for a trip on the Mark Twain. Once back on dry land headed for Main Street to grab a snack and then find a spot to catch the Navy Band from Washington DC that was performing in front of the castle. After the show it was over to DCA and dinner at Taste Pilots Grill. After eating headed over to Bugsland and went for a spin on Fliks and a ride on the Chew Chew train. Then strolled through the Wharf and out to the Pier for some night shots. Decided to check out the wait for Monsters, which was still too long so headed back to Disneyland to use the Buzz Fastpasses. Along the way spotted Mickey on Main Street so stopped for pictures. After Buzz it was back to DCA to line up for the DEP (we found a great spot just a few minutes to parade time). After the parade it was back to the Mickey and Friends garage where I caught the end of the fireworks then headed home.

2/23/08 6.40 13,988 8 Started off walking across the Pinochio parking lot and over to the Disneyland Hotel. Walked through the Lobby then circled the ground before heading toward Downtown Disney. Stopped by the Rain Forest Cafe gift shop then headed up to the monorail station. There was at least a two maybe three monorail wait (and since only one was running) I made a u-turn and walked through Downtown Disney. Decided to head to DCA first. I strolled down the backlot, circled by Tower and then over to Monsters Inc. There was no visible line so decided to go for a ride (there ended up only being about 10 people in front of me in line). After riding walked back toward the entrance and then took a left to the Farm area. Circled Bugsland and walked toward the Wharf. Stopped by the Bread Tour for a sample and then continued on to the Pier. Walked around past the Orange Stinger to the Sun Wheel. I was next to get on and they said there was a problem and closed the attraction. I waited around a bit but then gave up and doubled back and around to the other side of the Pier (due to the Toy Story work you have to walk all the way around to get to Screamin). Took some pictures there then walked through the Bay Area and past GRR. Saw there was no line at Taste Pilots so grabbed an early lunch (it was around 11:30). After lunch I doubled back to the Pier and the Sun Wheel was running again so hiked out there and went for a spin. After my trip around the sun it was back through the Bay Area and past GRR on my way to the Grand Californian. Stopped by to check out both construction projects then walked out to Downtown Disney. Next up Disneyland. I strolled down Main Street USA and checked out the line board. I saw there was a crowd at Plaza Gardens so I stopped by there for a minute then cut through Frontierland on my way to Adventureland. Walked through Adventureland and out to the Rivers of America. I saw the Mark Twain was in so headed that way, I was out of luck they were shutting down the attraction. The CM said there was a problem on the River so the both boats would be down for a while. I could not see anything and the Canoes and Tom Sawyer Island rafts kept running. I walked along the River and out to Critter Country. Then I circled back and hopped on the Train. I rode to Tomorrowland and then walked through Tomorrowland, past the Castle and into Fantasyland. It was starting to drizzle so I made a u-turn and headed for Frontierland. I ended up hanging out in the shops in Frontierland a bit waiting for the cell to pass. The Mark Twain pulled in and guests were allowed to board this time so I went for a trip around the Rivers of America. Once back at port I walked the Big Thunder trail and back to Fantasyland. It was almost 2:30 and time for the Billy Hill show so I headed back to Frontierland and caught the show. After the show the rain had started again so I headed off to Adventureland and caught the Tiki Room. After the show the rain had stopped so I strolled out to Toontown. Made the circle and then back past Its a Small World. The parade was just going by (due to the weather it was rolling along, no stops this afternoon). I was stuck so I walked back through Fantasyland and the Castle to get to the hub. After the parade pasted I headed for Tomorrowland. I stopped by Innoventions and cuaght the Asimo show. After the show headed back to Main Street. I decided to grab a hot dog then head down to Town Square for the Flag Retreat. Due to the weather it was just the recorded show, no Dapper Dans or Disneyland Band. The rain started to pick up a bit. After the retreat I called and checked on the weather and was told more rain was on the way so I decided to call it an early evening and head home.

2/08/08 8.21 17,951 7 Started off this perfect Southern California afternoon heading for California Adventure to see what, if anything was going on for the parks 7th birthday. Entered and walked out toward the farm area, through the Wharf and to the Pier. Circled around past the Orange Stinger and to the Sun Wheel. Went for a trip around the Sun and then doubled back along the Pier and around to the other side by Screamin. After taking some pictures of the Toy Story work strolled down the parade route and to the Backlot. Circled past Monsters, which is now open, and then stopped by the Animation Building. Walked through Condor Flats and over to the Grand Californian. Spent some time walking around and taking some pictures of the expansion before exiting out to Downtown Disney. Walked back through the security tents and over to Disneyland. Wandered around Main street a while and ended up heading toward Adventureland. Decided to hike through the tree house and then doubled back to the Adventureland entrance and into Frontierland. Saw the Mark Twain was arriving so headed out there and went for a ride around the Rivers of America. Once back on land strolled along the Big Thunder Trail, stopping at the Ranch which re-opened today. Then into Fantasyland. Continued on to the Small World Mall then circled back around the Matterhorn and past the Sub Lagoon. Stopped by Innoventions and then grabbed a Fastpass for Buzz on my way to Main Street. Walked past the Castle and Plaza Gardens and then snapped some pictures of the Partners statue before heading down to Town Square for the Flag Retreat. After the ceremony walked back up Main Street and saw on the lineboard Nemo was down, so headed over there to see if anything interesting was going on, it was not. Next up dinner at the Village Haus. After dinner walked the Big Thunder Trail and over to NOS, walked through Adventureland and out to Tomorrowland again to see what was going on with the subs, not much... I wandered down Main Street and over to DCA. Walked down the Backlot and lined up for Aladdin. After the show walked by Monsters and there was still a line so headed out to the Pier. Walked over by Screamin and then back through the Bay Area. Walked around GRR and stopped at the Redwood Creek trail to take some pictures. Made one more swing past Monsters before heading out by the Pier to watch the Electrical Parade. After the parade walked past GRR and through Condor Flats to exit the park and head to Disneyland. Spent some time trying to get some good shots of the lights in the Floral Mickey at the entrance then wandered around Main Street for a while. Ended up in Tomorrowland and stopped a Club Buzz to see who was performing. Only lasted through one song before heading back to Main Street. I decided to call it an early evening and headed for the trams. They were really backed up so hiked back to the car and headed home.

1/26/08 4.20 9,179 5 Started off this great day heading for Disneyland. Roamed down Main Street and around the hub. Strolled into Tomorrowland to check out the Nemo line (which was too long) so continued on to Small World. Hopped on the train and rode around to NOS. Walked on Haunted Mansion and then back through New Orleans to grab some shots of the Dream Suite/former gallery area now that the walls are down. Headed back to Main Street via Adventureland and over to DCA. Walked through Condor Flats and past GRR on my way out to the Pier. Took a right turn and walked around to the Sun Wheel where I went for a trip around the sun. After my ride spent some time looking around the Toy Story Mania walls and then walked back to the Bay Area and decided to grab some lunch at Tast Pilots Grille. After lunch wandered down the backlot, circled past Monsters and stopped by the Animatin building before heading back out to the left side of the Pier (by Screamin) to finish getting Toy Story shots. Next up I walked back past GRR and over to the Grand Californian. Spent some time walking the grounds and taking pictures of the DVC work. After walking through the hotel it was out to Downtown Disney and then back to Disneyland. Spent some time on Main Street taking some pictures and then went to Advnetureland. There was no line for the Jungle Cruise so went for a trip and then hopped a raft out to Tom Sawyer Island. Explored the island a bit and then took a raft back to the mainland and walked out to Critter Country. Circled around and back along the Rivers of America and through the Big Thunder Trail to Fantasyland. Continued on past the Matterhorn and around the Sub Lagoon. Cut through the walkway between Tomorrowland and the Matterhorn back to the Castle. Took some pictures there and then strolled down Main Street and back to the front of the park. At this point I decided to call it an early day and get going before the rains come and to go get some rest before the Garth Brooks Concert...

26 171.57 221 Totals
Note: These totals may be skewed because the pedometer is zero'd when we start and then left alone and read when we leave. So attractions, and other things may cause extra "steps" to be counted. The pedometer that we use basically measures up/down motion as a step, so if your standing in line and moving up and down it may be counting steps, etc.. so the total distances traveled and steps may be off.. so use these as rough distance comparisons between trips and they may not be accurate in terms of actual distance traveled.
