12/15/06 11.96 25,272 8:10 Started of this cool Southern California afternoon heading for Disneyland. Strolled down Main Street to the hub, checked out the line board and then headed into Adventureland and through New Orleans Square to grab a Fastpass for Haunted Mansion. Then turned around and walked along the Rivers of America and through Frontierland, stopping briefly at the Reindeer Roundup on my way out to Small World. Since there was virtually no wait hopped on Small World Holiday and then walked around the Matterhorn and into Tomorrowland. Walked through the Autopia queue to get some good shots of the sub lagoon work and walked back to Main Street and around the Castle. Cut through Frontierland and NOS to grab another Fastpass for Haunted Mansion before walking across the way to DCA. Entered DCA and walked by the Vineyard and out to the Pier. Took a spin on the Sun Wheel to see the Midway Mania construction and then finished the loop of the Pier and walked by GRR and into Condor Flats. Grabbed a Fastpass for Soarin and continued on to the Backlot. Saw there was no line for Monsters so went for a spin (got my own car). I finished the loop of the Backlot and headed back across the way to Disneyland. Wandered down Main Street and to Tomorrowland to grab a Fastpass for Buzz. Returned to Main Street to watch the Carolers and then the Flag Retreat. After the retreat made my way back down Main Street and to Tomorrowland where I wandered around a bit and then grabbed another Fastpass for Buzz. Headed back to Main Street for some shots of the lights and walked back over to DCA. Stopped by Condor Flats to check out the line at Taste Pilot and then grabbed another Fastpass for Soarin. Headed out to Bugsland to see what was new and get some night shots then ended up back in the Sunshine Plaza listening to the Wave Riders for a set. It was now dinner time so headed to Taste Pilots. Saw no tables inside and it was too cool to eat outside so walked over to White Water Snacks for dinner. After eating returned to DCA and decided to skip Soarin and head back to Disneyland. Walked down Main Street and used the Fastpasses for Buzz. Afterward walked around Tomorrowland a bit and then around the Castle and into Fantasyland. Walked the Big Thunder Trail and through the Fantasmic masses to Haunted Mansion. Used our Fastpasses there and then headed back to Main Street via Adventureland. Walked down the street and hopped on the train back to NOS. Watched most of Fantasmic before returning to Main Street to watch Believe. After the snow fell it was time to head for the tram, the car, and home.

12/01/06 10.21 21,564 8:10 Started off this perfect December afternoon heading for DCA. Spent a little time at Santas Beach Party then headed out to Bugsland and then out to the Pier by way of the Wharf. Walked around the Pier to get some Midway Mania shots and ride the Sun Wheel, but unfortunately it was closed down. So I finished the loop and walked through GRR and Condor Flats (grabbing a Fastpass for Soarin on the way). Then walked across the Esplanade to Disneyland. Took some pictures of the Candlelight set up on Main Street and thenof the Castle area before heading into Tomorrowland to grab some sub lagoon progress shots. I walked around the Matterhorn and checked out the wait on Small World, a little too long for my taste, so walked back through Fantasyland on my way to the Big Thunder Ranch to check out the new arrivials. Took some pictures of Flyer and Fryer (the pardon turkey and his backup) and then wandered around the reindeer roundup for a while before continuing on down the trail and into New Orleans Square. Grabbed a Fastpass for Haunted Mansion then walked out to Critter Country to get some pictures of the Holiday decorations during the day (which I had not done yet this year). I turned around and headed back to NOS and jumped on the train over to Toontown. I arrived right as the Christmas Fantasy parade was ending and I jumped on Small World with no wait at all then headed back to Fantasyland and walked through the Castle to Main Street. I was heading down to the Flag Retreat and got sidetracked listening to the Carolers. Found an ok spot for the retreat (which was a challenge with the Candlelight preparations). After the retreat I headed over to DCA and walked quickly out to the Pier in an attempt to make it on the Sun Wheel before it became too dark to take pictures of the construction work. I had mixed results with the pictures.. I then finished the loop of the Pier and walked through GRR and Condor Flats. I arrived at Taste Pilots grill about the time the Block Party Bash was starting. I decided it would be a good time to eat so stopped for a bite to eat at the grill. Then wandered around the Beach Party for a while before heading down the backlot. Since there was no wait at all walked on Monsters Inc then walked through the lobby of the Tower of Terror. It was getting colder so time to take the tram back to the car for the heavy jacket. After switching jackets I walked over to the Disneyland Hotel to check out the holiday decorations then walked through Downtown Disney and into Disneyland. The Christmas Fantasy parade was just ending again so to avoid the traffic I hopped on the Train and road out to Toontown. Had a few minutes to kill while waiting for the next projector show at Small World so walked through Toontown. Then back to catch the show at Small World. After the show wandered down toward the Castle and since it was not too crowded I played around with the camera to get some night shots with the holiday decorations then headed into Frontierland to do the same. Realized I had not walked through Adventureland yet so cut over there and walked on the Jungle Cruise then headed out to NOS and used my Fastpass for Haunted Mansion. After riding I saw the band was heading out on the Rivers of America so found a good place to sit and watch them and then decided to stay there for Fantasmic. Waded through the masses and out to Main Street just as Believe was starting. Watched the show from a semi obstructed spot near Town Square then after the snow fall headed back to the tram, car, and home.

11/17/06 12.07 25,497 11:00 Started off this great afternoon heading for Disneyland. Wandered around Town Square and doam Main Street to Adventureland and out to NOS. Grabbed a Fastpass for Pirates then walked along the Rivers of America, through Frontierland, through the hub, around the Castle and out to Small World Holiday. Went for a ride since it was only a 5 minute wait or so. After riding walked around the Matterhorn and into Tomorrowland. Grabbed a Fastpass for Buzz then headed back to Main Street and over to DCA. Grabbed a Fastpass for Soarin and then continued on around GRR and through the Bay Area stopping at the Wharf to grab some lunch (actually I ended up running back to the Backlot to grab a hot dog then met up and ate at the Wharf). After lunch headed out to the Pier and went for a trip around the Sun on the Sun Wheel. Then finished the loop and walked back to the entrance plaza and the Backlot. Road Monsters Inc and then stopped by the Animation Building for a brief visit and the gift shop there. Walked over to Condor Flats and used our Soarin Fastpasses and then headed for the Grand Californian. After roaming the lobby for a while exited the hotel and stopped at World of Disney on our way back to the park. We headed back to Disneyland and to Tomorrowland. I went through the Autopia queue to grab some pictures then we headed out to Toontown to see the decorations in the light of day. We then circled back through Fantasyland and around the Big Thunder trail on our way to the Golden Horseshoe to catch Billy Hill and the Hillbillies. We then headed back to Main Street for the 4:30 Flag Retreat. After the retreat we headed back down Main Street and around the Hub (to grab some castle shots) then through Frontierland and over to NOS. We hopped on Pirates since the line was short. Then wandered out to Critter Country to see if anything was going on. It was not. We then walked back around the Big Thunder trail and stopped at the Reindeer Roundup. We continued on to Fantasyland and grabbed dinner at the Village Haus. After dinner it was time to line up for the Christmas parade so it was back to Main Street. We found a good spot near the Fire Station and watched from there. As the parade concluded we followed it down Main Street then verred off to Adventureland. The Tiki Room door was open so we went there to avoid the crowd a bit and relax. After the Tiki Room we headed for Haunted Mansion Holiday to use our Fastpasses (we did not have to, there was no line at all). After Haunted Mansion we hopped on the Train and road to Toontown where we disembarked to see Small World at night (the projector show was running this week). After that we headed for Tomorrowland and to use our Fastpasses for Buzz. After saving the Galaxy we wandered over to Frontierland by way of the hub and lined up for Fantasmic. The show was delayed and after 10 minutes we gave up and headed for Main Street and the Fireworks (Fantasmic did start about 5 minutes after we left). The Fireworks were delayed 15 minutes until Fantasmic concluded. After the show we headed for the tram and cars and home..

11/10/06 11.31 23,900 8:30 Started off this great Southern California Friday with an extremely long parking entrance line (took over 30 minutes from when I entered the garage line till I was parked). Then walked over to the Disneyland Hotel. Walked through the lobby then through the hotel and through Downtown Disney. Headed into DCA first. Walked through the Sunshine Plaza and Santas Beach Party Blast then out to the vineyard and continued on to the Bay Area and the Christmas tree. Walked by the Cars meet and greet then out to the SS Rustworthy as we continued our loop of the Pier. We ended up at the Sun Wheel and went for a trip around the sun to grab some pictures, then we finished our Pier loop and headed through the Wharf and out to Bugsland. Made the loop there and strolled over to the backlot to make that loop. Now that we had concluded our grand circle tour of DCA we headed across the Esplanade and into Disneyland. Took some pictures of the Floral Mickey and headed for Main Street USA. Wandered down the street and around the hub taking pictures of the Christmas decorations and of the equipment out for the Christmas Parade taping which was to take place on Saturday. We cut through Plaza Gardens and Frontierland on our way out to Haunted Mansion Holiday to grab Fastpasses.. oh no they are not good till 10:30pm and its only 3pm now.. we headed back through NOS and Adventureland on our way to Tomorrowland to catch the Jedi Training Academy. After the show stopped by Innoventions to grab some pictures of the Sub Lagoon work (the Autopia line was too long so no close pictures this trip). After Innoventions we walked along the Matterhorn and out to Small World. Stopped by the Princess Faire then realized it was nearly 4:30 so headed back to Town Square and up to the Train Station to watch the Flag Retreat. After the retreat stood on Main Street for the Tree Lighting then went down to grab some pictures of the Castle before Dinner. Dinner conisted of Corn Dogs on Main Street then we headed out to Santas Reindeer Roundup in the Ranch area and then onto Toontown for some shots of the Holiday decorations. Decided to bite the bullet and wait in line for Small World Holiday, it was about 45 minutes. After Small World we walked back through Fantasyland and Frontierland, waded through the Fantasmic masses and ended up in Critter Country. Since we were tired of walking went for a quick ride on Pooh (and there was no line). Then headed for NOS to get some shots of the decorations. After NOS we headed to Adventureland and a cruise through the Jungles since there was no line at all. After the Jungle Cruise we walked out to Main Street. Stopped at the Disneyana store to see what was new then found a spot for the Holiday version of Believe. After the show headed out to the trams and cars and home for the evening.

10/20/06 11.62 24,539 8:10 Started off this perfect Summer (I mean Fall) day heading for Disneyland. Stopped at World of Disney before entering the park to see the new displays(Christmas merchandise is out) Walked down Main Street and took some pictures of the Castle without its crowns then headed through Frontierland, stopping in the Golden Horseshoe, on my way out to NOS to grab a Fastpass for Haunted Mansion. Got my Fastpass then wandered back through NOS and Adventureland on my way back to the entrance and over to DCA. Headed down the backlot and made the circle to see what was new and check out Tower (45 minute line). Wandered back to the entrance, through the Farm and Wharf and onto the Pier. Road the Sun Wheel to get some Midway Madness shots then finished the loop of the Pier. Had a few minutes to kill so walked around the winery then found a spot to watch the High School Musical Pep Rally. After the show walked through GRR and Condor Flats on my way back to the park entrance and back over to Disneyland. I arrived as the Parade of Dreams was hitting Main Street. I jumped on the Train and Road to NOS and grabbed another Fastpass for Haunted Mansion. Then walked back through NOS stopping to see a new band perform near the Gallery. Then continued on to Frontierland and around the Big Thunder Trail. Stopped by the Roundup for a few minutes then went on to Fantasyland and out to the Fantasyland Theater to see what the Princess Faire was about. After milling around there a while walked back out past Small World and Matterhorn on my way to Tomorrowland. Grabbed a couple pictures of the newly completed Tomorrowland Terrace then went into Innventions and up to the 2nd floor to try and get some sub lagoon shots. Took a couple then headed down the ramp and over to Tomorrowland Terrace to catch the Jedi Training Academy. After the show headed for Main Street and the Flag Retreat. At the conclusion walked back down Main Street and through the East side of the Castle to Fantaslyand. Grabbed some shots of the Mad Hatter store and then of the area before going back to Tomorrowland to grab a Fastpass for Buzz. Wandered out to the tram stop and headed back to the car to grab a jacket. Met up with the Lazygeek and grabbed a jacket then back to Downtown Disney and dinner at White Water snacks. After dinner we stopped by the new Vault 28 store and then headed for Disneyland. Walked down Main Street and waded through the masses in Tomorrowland to get Fastpasses for Buzz. We circled out to the new Tomorrowlanding Store and then around the Tomorrowland Terrace and past the Matterhorn and Castle on our way to Frontierland. Stopped in the store that used to be the Candy store, then the hat store, and now its a Christmas store.. I did not catch the name. We walked through the Fantasmic crowd and headed for Haunted Mansion to use the Fastpasses I had gathered. Went for our spin and then headed back through NOS, Adventureland, and the Hub on our way to Tomorrowland. The Fastpass return line for Buzz looked to be about 10-15 minutes so we continued on through Tomorrowland then around the Matterhorn and out to Small World. Went for a trip around the world (since it closes next week for the holiday makeover). After our trip it was back to Buzz, the return line was still about 10 minutes but we wanted to use the Fastpasses so we waited. After riding it was just about fireworks time. As we made the turn into the hub crowd control circuit Julie Andrews voice queued up and the show started. Found a spot to stand near the Main Street Cinema. After the show headed for the tram and cars to head home.

9/29/06 12.13 25,626 8.5 Started off this perfect fall afternoon roaming around the Esplanade taking pictures of the Halloween decorations then I headed into Disneyland and spent some time on Main Street doing the same. After circling the hub I headed through Adventureland and NOS on my way to Haunted Mansion to grab a Fastpass. then cut back along the Rivers of America and through Frontierland on my way over to Tomorrowland. Walked around the Tomorrowland Terrace and then went through Innoventions to grab some pictures from the second floor. Next up a walk through the Autpia queue to see what was happening. Then circled back through Tomorrowland to see what was going on at Star Traders. Headed back to Main Street and caught the tail end of a Mary Poppins show in front of the Castle then headed down the street to Town Square to see the Main Street Pumpkin Festival show. After I hit my tolerance level I headed across the Esplanade and into DCA. Walked by the vineyard and winery on my way to the Gold Dreams theater to see Golden Screams, the new show. After the show made a quick trip to the Pier to see the newly painted shop and then headed for the Backlot by way of GRR and Condor Flats. Walked down and around Monsters then the Tower of Terror before retreating to the park entrance and heading back to Disneyland. Hopped on the Train to NOS and grabbed another Haunted Mansion Fastpass then walked along the Rivers of America and through Frontierland on my way to the Big Thunder Ranch and woody's Halloween Round-Up. Spent some time walking around the cabin and arts and crafts area then continued on through Fantasyland and out to Toontown. Turned around and wandered back toward Main Street to catch the 5pm Flag Retreat. After the retreat I went back down Main Street and through Frontierland again on my way back to the Big Thunder Ranch to see if I could catch the show.. I waited around 15 minutes or so and nothing was happening so returned to Main Street to give the Pumpkin Festival a second try. As the show concluded I walked back down Main Street, through Adventureland and out to NOS to grab another Fastpass for Haunted Mansion. This time the attraction was down and it was a 15 minute wait for it to reopen so I could get the Fastpass. After completing that mission it was back through the park and out to Downtown Disney to grab some shots of Vault 28. Then I returned to DCA and headed down the Backlot to find a spot for the 7pm Halloween Storytelling in front of Tower of Terror. After the story walked over to the Grand Californian in hopes of grabbing dinner at White Water Snacks.. which was already closed. So we headed back to DCA for dinner. I went to the Backlot to grab a Hot Dog and the others to the Wharf for breadbowls. As we sat down to eat they announced DCA was closed (it was now 8pm). After eating we headed back across the Esplanade and into a now very crowded Disneyland. We waded through the crowd on Main Street and headed to Haunted Mansion by way of Adventureland and NOS. There was a huge crowd at the gates but once we made it through we walked right on with our Fastpasses (but it took about 5 minutes to get to the gates). After riding we strolled through NOS and were herded through the crowd control maze and finally we made it over to Buzz. Decided the posted 25 minutes was ok and hopped in line. Got through the attraction right as the Fireworks were concluding. We joined the masses and exited the park, hopped on a tram, and back to the cars to head home.

Then walked through Downtown Disney and to Disneyland. Wandered down Main Street and around the hub taking some pictures of the now gone 50th decorations. Walked into Tomorrowland and got a Fastpass for Buzz then headed for Innoventions and some picutres of the on going work. Once I hit ground level again I stopped by Autopia but decided the line was too long so kept on walking through Tomorrowland and around the Matterhorn. Walked through Fantasyland and the Big Thunder Trail on my way into Frontierland. Caught the end of a Billy Hill set in their new(temporary) outdoor location. Next up New Orleans Square. Caught a couple songs by a new group performing right next to Cafe Orleans. After the Flag Retreat headed to the Esplanade then across the street to McDs for dinner. After dinner it was back to Disneyland. Walked down Main Street and into Tomorrowland. After saving the Galaxy walked out to Fantasyland to see if there were any short lines (there were not since half the attractions were being shut down in preparation for the fireworks) so walked around the castle and through Carnation into Frontierland. Stopped for a few minutes then went into Adventureland and finally back to Main Street. Wandered through some shops and then found a spot for Remember. After the show followed the mob back to the tram and parking structure to head home.

9/01/06 11.17 24,418 8:30 Started off the 3-Day Labor Day weekend heading for the Disneyland Resort and some R&R. Walked over to Downtown Disney from the Mickey and Friends Garage. Circled the monorail station to see the rehab work then went to Rain Forest Cafe to use a gift certificate I had. Continued on through Downtown Disney and World of Disney on my way to California Adventure. The park was really calm as I entered, no real crowds to speak of, kind of weird for a holiday weekend. Headed for Soarin to grab a Fastpass, there was no line really but I wanted to get some pictures first. So made a u-turn and headed for the Backlot. Walked down by Monsters and saw no line so went for a rids, it was a literal walk on. Then circled around and walked through the Animation Building and the Art of Animation store on my way back to the Sunshine Plaza I grabbed some ice water from Award Wieners. Turned left and headed to Bugsland to see what was going on then walked through the Farm area and stopped by the Bread Tour for some bread. Continued on through the Wharf and entered the Pier area. Decided to walk the Pier to see if anything was going on. When I got to the parade gate my timing was perfect for the Lightning and Mater photo opp and they came rolling out and headed for the Bay Area. I grabbed some pictures then headed through the Bay Area and walked around GRR and into Condor Flats again. Road Soarin (it was great, walked down the ramp and right in line then right into the boarding area, first time that has happened in a long time for me). After riding it was time to head to Disneyland. Walked across the Esplanade and into Disneyland. Headed down Main Street past the guests waiting for the parade, there were not that many, maybe 1 deep on the shady side of the street and only a couple scattered people on the sunny side and it was already parade time. Grabbed a Fastpass for Buzz and headed for Innoventions. Took some pictures inside then went out to the balcony to get some Tomorrowland pictures. Walked down the Ramp and around Autopia a bit then the construction walls for the sub/monorail work and the Matterhorn on my way to Toontown. Circled through Toontown and then headed back to Main Street via the walkway between Mattern and Alice. Cut over to Tomorrowland again to grab another Buzz Fastpass then walked through the hub and into Frontierland. Stopped by the Golden Horseshoe to watch a little of the 4:00pm Billy Hill show. Then walked along the Rivers of America and out to Critter Country. Not much going on out there except for a decent line for Splash Mountain and no line for Haunted Mansion. Walked back through NOS and spotted the Captain Jack walk around near Pirates. Followed him a bit trying to get a good shot or two, and did not really till he stopped for pictures. Took in a couple songs from the Bootstrappers before heading to Main Street for the 5:00pm Flag Retreat. Watched the production and then headed to White Water Snacks for dinner by way of DCA. After dinner walked through DCA and back to Disneyland. Wandered down Main Street and ended up in Tomorrowland and revisited Innoventions and the Balcony to see the work again. Then walked through Tomorrowland, the Hub, and Frontierland on my way to NOS to ride Pirates and verify my answers for the VMK Quest. After riding it was back to Tomorrowland to turn in the quest and gather the trading cards. There was a line so pulled up a seat to watch some of the Club Buzz band, which was terrible in my opinion. The line went down so turned in the quest and then headed for Fantasyland and walked through the Big Thunder Trail and the Fantasmic crowd. Ended up at the Haunted Mansion so went for a spin since there was a minimal wait. Fantasmic had started now so watched a bit of it as I walked through NOS on my way back to Main Street to find a spot for the Remember. The five minute announcement said there were high winds and a possiblity of the show being canceled. So I spent some time in the Disneyana store to see what was new and then walked out at show time. The announcement came on that the show was delayed so I headed for the trams and the car to go home since it looked like the show would be canceled.

8/18/06 8.14 17,787 8:00 Started off this great day heading for Disneyland. Entered the park and headed for Main Street. Along the way noticed a new sign advertising the Halloween events. On Main Street Halloween has taken over a couple stores already and the 50th merchandise is starting to disappear. Walked by the line board then into Tomorrowland. Grabbed a Fastpass for Buzz then walked over to the Monorail station for pictures of the Sub Lagoon work followed by a visit to Innoventions for pictures of the work going on in Tomorrowland. Walked around the Matterhorn and out to Toontown to see what was going on, not much, but the Jolly Trolly was out for pictures. Cut back through Fantasyland and around the Big Thunder Trail on my way to NOS. Continued along the Rivers of America and out to Critter Country. Walked through the Hungry Bear and then back to NOS and cut through the shops to see if anything new had surfaced. Heard the Bootstrappers performing so stopped and listened to the set then noticed a new band boarding the Mark Twain so headed that direction. Their name was the Straw Hatters (I think it was a little hard to hear). I road around the Rivers listening to their Dixie Land music. Once back to port it was about 4:15 and I noticed the doors open at the Golden Horseshoe so stopped in to catch the end of the Billy Hill set. After the show back out to NOS and walked through Adventureland on my way to Main Street. Stopped by Tomorrowland and grabbed another Buzz Fastpass then strolled through the shops I missed on the way in and then pulled up a spot for the 5:00pm Flag Retreat. After the retreat headed across the Esplanade to DCA. Walked down the Backlot to see what was happening and grabbed a bite to eat at Award Wieners (had to go eat out by Monsters because there were no tables). After eating I noticed the line for Monsters was non-existant so went for a spin, it was about 5 minutes only. Then headed back toward the entrance plaza, around by the farm and through the Bay Area on my way to the Pier. Walked around the Pier to see if anything new was going on the far side (not really). After finishing the loop walked through the Bay Area and GRR to the Grand Californian. Cut through the Hotel and out to Downtown Disney. Walked to the new Fossil store then turned around and headed for World of Disney. Walked through the store and then back to Disneyland. The parade was just wrapping up so hopped no the train to NOS instead of trying to walk through the masses. Strolled through NOS and decided to jump onto Pirates since the line was only about 10 minutes. I next went back to Tomorrowland to see the 80's All Starz @ Club Buzz and grab some night shots of the area. After a couple of songs I grew tired of that and wandered around the Castle taking some night shots and listening to the band at Carnation(plaza gardens). After their set I went into Frontierland and walked throught he Fantasmic masses and found a spot out near the Tom Sawyer rafts exit to watch Fantasmic. As the show was concluding I made my way to Main Street, arriving just as Julie Andrews was finishing the introduction to Remember. Watched the show then headed for the trams and car to head home.

7/28/06 N/A N/A 8:10 Started off this perfect afternoon heading to Disneyland. Walked down Main Street and into Tomorrowland. Grabbed a Fastpass for Buzz then headed up to the Monorail platform for some Sub Lagoon pictures. Took a look at the time schedule and saw a Cars Meet in Greet over in DCA scheduled for about 15 minutes from now so headed that direction. Walked down Main Street, across the Esplanade, through Condor Flats, grabbing a Soarin Fastpass, around GRR and I arrived in the Pier area right as Lightning and Mater were rounding the corner. I spent some time taking pictures and looking at the cars then headed back to Disneyland. Walked down Main Street, trying to avoid the parade traffic. Ended up in Tomorrowland so grabbed another Buzz Fastpass then cut through the hub right before the Parade arrived and walked into Frontierland and boarded the Columbia since it was in dock. Went for a cruise around the Rivers of America and then walked through around the Big Thunder Trail, through Fantasyland and around the Wesst side of the Castle to the Plaza Gardens stage. Caught a little of the College Band in front of the Castle for their 4:00pm set while taking pictures of the Hub area including some pictures of the Adventureland entrance area. As the set drew to a close headed down Main Street and over to DCA. I was working on a Virtual Magic Kingdom Quest so took a look at the photo mosiacs in DCA to find which wone had the most picutres then headed down the Backlot and into the Off the Page store and the Animation building for some A/C and to fill out my quest. Once recharged headed back out and roamed the Backlot walking by Monsters then headed back to the Sunshine Plaza to catch the Cars Pre-parade (which oddly enough happens 30 minutes before the parade, it starts at 4:45 and the parade is 5:15. After getting some pictures of the cars walked through Condor Flats and the Grand Californian on my way to Downtown Disney. Took some pictures of the two new stores going in and continued down to the Monorail platform. Road back to Disneyland and watched the finale of the College Bands Club Buzz set before deciding it was dinner time. Headed down Main Street and out of the park to McD's on Harbor (its been a while since we were there). After dinner it was back to Disneyland and watched the Flag Retreat. Headed for NOS by way of Adventureland to check out the Pirates line. Too long for our taste so went to the Haunted Mansion instead which was a walk on. Then walked back along the Rivers of America and through Adventureland heading for Tomorrowland. Used the Fastpasses for Buzz and then wandered back to NOS. Ended up waiting about 20 minutes for Pirates. After our trip decided to go back to Main Street and headed to the Esplanade to get the answer to our last VMK question. Got the answer and went back into Disneyland. Walked down Main Street and went to Tomorrowland to turn in our Quests and collect our our cards. Wandered around the Matterhorn and out to Fantasyland. Checked out Small World and there was a 5 minute wait or so, which was passed our threshold so wandered back through Fantasyland and around the Big Thunder trail. We ended up at the Golden Horseshoe to grab something cold to drink. It was just past 9:00pm and Fantasmic had just started. We walked back through Frontierland and into Adventureland and onto Main Street. Walked through the Emporium and the Disneyana store before finding a spot for Remyember right as the first shells were going off. Watched the show then headed for the tram, cars, and trip home (which Caltrans made real enjoyable by shutting down the 5 at the 101)..
7/16/06 4.97 8,623 7:26 Started off this great Sunday arriving at the parks around 11:00am. Headed first to Disneyland. Roamed down Main Street and headed out to Tomorrowland. Grabbed a Fastpass for Space Mountain and then jumped on the Autopia since there was no line. Afterwards walked past the Matterhorn and out to the Fantasyland Theater. Saw the Snow White show then road Small World. Walked through Fantasyland and the Big Thunder Trail. Grabbed some food from the Stage Door Cafe and went into the Golden Horseshoe to catch Billy. After Billy hopped on the Columbia to see the Pirate. Once we reached land again, or as the Pirate would say the Land of Disney we headed for Pirates of the Caribbean and some A/C. After our cruise we headed over to the Huanted Mansion then cut back through NOS and Adventureland on our way to Tomorrowland. Went on Space Mountain and then hopped the train back to Main Street. We disembarked and headed for 50 Magical Years exhibit and movie. Decided to head across the Esplanade and grabbed some Ice Cream in the Sunshine Plaza, but ended up eating in Condor Flats since there were no seats. After our Ice cream we headed down the Backlot and into the Animation building to visit the Animation Academy. We just mised it so went over to Monsters to kill some time then back to the Animation Academy. After our art lesson it was time to leave so wandered down the backlot and out of the park, back to the car and home.
7/14/06 7.5 13,018 8:09 Started off this rather hot afternoon heading for Disneyland. Stopped by the newly remodeled Mad Hatter then headed down Main Street turning right into Tomorrowland. Grabbed a Fastpass for Buzz then wandered by Space Mountain and Innoventions on my way up to the Monorail platform for Sub Lagoon shots. Then cut past the Castle on my way to Carnation. Caught the 2:30 College Band set then headed into Frontierland. Walked along the Rivers of America and out to Critter Country, along the way saw the Captain Jack walk around. Made the cricle and then back along the Rivers and found a shady spot to watch the 3:30 Bootstrappers set. Afterwards hopped in line for Pirates since it was only 20 minutes and I just missed the Columbia setting sail. The line took a bit longer than thought, closer to 30 minutes. After disembarking headed over to the landing to see if I could get onto the Columbia which was just coming into dock. Unfortunately I learned that it was the last voyage of the day (it was 4:30). So caught the last Bootstrappers set and headed for Tom Sawyer Island, where I had not been for quite a while. Walked around and tried to get some pictures I wanted since it was not crowded at all. Then headed back to the mainland. Walked along the Rivers of America and then past Big Thunder and around the Big Thunder trail on my way into Fantasyland. Walked through the Castle and down Main Street to the Opera house. Enjoyed the A/C and looked around the exhibits while waiting for the film to begin. After the conclusion walked over to the Flag Pole for the 6:00pm Flag Retreat which was to start in a couple minutes. Then headed across the Esplanade and into DCA. Grabbed a bite to eat at Award Wieners and then hopped on Monsters Inc since there was no line. Walked back out of the Backlot and over to Bugsland to see what was new, nothing really, so continued on to the Bay Area then around GRR before ending up at the Grand Californian. Walked through the Lobby and out to Downtown Disney. Stopped to check on the progress of the Vault 28 store before making a U-turn and heading back to Disneyland. Walked down Main Street and headed for Adventureland and NOS to see how bad the Pirates line looked. It was beyond my threshold so continued on and grabbed a couple Slash Mountain pictures then stopped by the the Haunted Mansion which had no line at all and went for a ride. Walked back along the Rivers of America and into Frontierland. Ended up in the Hub and decided to double back to Adventureland and visit the Tiki Room. After the show it was approx. 8:30 and the crowd was starting to line up for Remember and I decided to join in since I had never seen the show from right in front of the Castle yet and it was on my to do list. So pulled up a seat and waited just under an hour for the show. Once the show was over walked through the masses and headed for the tram and back to the garage to head home for the day.
6/30/06 11.98 20,787 8:31 Started off this warm Friday afternoon heading for Disneyland. Headed down Main Street to check the line board. Pirates was listed under 30 minutes so headed that directionby way of Adventureland. Got in line and went for my first ride on the newly reopened attraction. After my journey I headed up to the Gallery then roamed around NOS a bit. Headed through Frontierlannd and to Carnation to catch a little of the 2:30 College Band set. Walked over to Tomorrowland and grabbed a Fastpass for Buzz and then walked around Club Buzz and up to the Monorail Station for some pictures of the sub work. Walked past Autopia and the Hatmosphere and took the train around to NOS and hopped on Pirates for a second time. Cut back through Frontierland and caught a little of the 4:00pm College Band set. Then grabbed another Fastpass for Buzz and headed across the Esplanade to DCA. Walked down the Backlot and saw a posted 10 minute wait for Monsters so decided to go for a spin. It turned out to be a walkon (first time I had encountered this). After I road I strolled back down Hollywood Blvd and cut through the Sunshine Plaza and the Farm area on my way out to the Pier. Did not see much going on so headed toward GRR and Condor Flats on my way out of the park and back to Disneyland. Walked down Main Street and out to Tomorrowland. Grabbed a third Fastpass for Buzz and caught the end of the College Band at Club Buzz. Walked around the Matterhorn, past Small World toward Toontown. Got sidetracked to Snow White since the show was going on and they were letting people into the Theater so watched a couple minutes of the show, looks about the same as before. The theater was only about half full (this was the 5:30 show). Then walked to Fantasyland and around the Big Thunder trail to Frontierland. Headed through Frontierland to Main Street and down to Town Square for the Flag Retreat. After the ceremony walked back up Main Street and found a shady spot to watch the preparade. Grabbed a corn dog and found a table to watch Stompy Jones perform over at Carnation/Plaza Gardens. Then headed back to Pirates for a third and final ride of the day. Afterwards stopped by the Gallery again and then headed for Haunted Mansion. It was coming up on 9:00pm by this point in time so we headed to Buzz to use the Fastpasses. The attraction broke down and we did no get evacuated and back toward Main Street until after 9:30 and the Fireworks were in full swing. Since the crowd control measures were in effect we had to go all the way around the hub to get down Main Street it took us to the Finale to make it to Town Square. Then headed for the tram, car, and home.
6/23/06 11.50 19,958 8:12 Started off this nice summer afternoon heading for Disneyland. Walked down Main Street and veered left into Adventureland. Headed toward the Rivers of America and followed the herd over the bridge and into NOS. Continued around the Rivers of America and out toward Fowlers Harbor. Then circled around Splash Mountain and back by the Haunted Mansion and into NOS. walked through the new Pieces of Eight shop then headed back toward Main Street by way of Adventureland (since that was the only choice). Turned left and walked into Frontierland and back toward the Rivers to see what I could see from this side. Then turned around and headed for the Plaza Gardens to catch the 2:30 College Band set there. Afterward walked through Rancho Del Zorro and along the Big Thunder Trail into Fantasyland. Continued on to the Small World Mall and out to Toontown. Doubled back at this point to Fantasyland and cut through the Castle and Frontierland on my way for a ride on the Mark Twain around the Rivers of America. Once back on the land headed for Main Street, grabbed some ice water from Coke Corner then settled in to watch the 4:00pm College Band set in front of the Castle. After the set headed for Tomorrowland to see what was going on. Walked around the nearly completed Club Buzz seating and then up to the Monorail platform for pictures of the Sub Lagoon work. Walked around Tomorrowland a bit then found a spot for the 5:00pm College Band set at Club Buzz. Then headed back to Fantasyland for a couple more pictures I needed to get and then wandered around Main Street for a while until the 6:00pm Flag Retreat. Headed down Main Street and grabbed a Corn Dog for dinner then caught the College Band preparade on my way out of the park. Next up DCA. Walked down the Backlot and circled around Monsters. Stopped in the Animiation Building on my way back down the street and continued on through Sunshine Plaza and into the Farm area and Flik's. Completed that loop and headed for the Pier and Bay areas to see what was new. Continued on by GRR and cut through the Grand Californian on my way to Downtown Disney. Walked down to the monorail station and turned around and walked back to Disneyland's entrance due to the long line. Once in the park headed down Main Street and through Adventureland again out to NOS. Went on the Haunted Mansion since it was only a 13 minute wait. Walked back through NOS and Adventureland, cut through Frontierland, on my way to Plaza Gardens to watch a little of the Sing Band. After headed for Tomorrowland. Took some Tomorrowland night shots of the newly completed work then caught a few songs at Club Buzz from Brooke Wilkes & Diva Trip before heading back to Main Street. Fought through the crowds and headed for the trams. Road back to the M&F garage and caught the fireworks from there before heading home.
6/03/06 15.40 26,723 13:25 Started off this perfect Southern California morning lining up for Disneyland at around 20 to eight. Not too bad of a line yet. At 8am the gates open and we were able to enter the park. We walked down Main Street and then split up. Some went to grab Buzz Fastpasses and the others headed for Fantasyland to ride Peter Pan. We met up and road Dumbo, followed by the Carrousel and Storybookland Canal Boats. Since there was no line hopped on Alice in Wonderland and then cut back through Fantasyland and around the Big Thunder trail and the Rivers of America on our way out to Splash Mountain. Next up Pooh and then back through NOS and Adventureland. Hopped on the Jungle Cruise and then ran out to get Fastpasses for Autopia before heading over to DCA for its 10am opening. Again we split up, we grabbed Fastpasses for Soarin and met up at Monsters. Went for a taxi ride through Monstropolis and then watched Mupped Vision 3D. We walked back through the entrance plaza and the farm on our way out to the Pier. Grabbed our free pictures at Ariels (note if you have a Disney Visa and arrive before 11:30 they are still doing a free 5x7). Then decided it was lunch time. Half at the Wharf Bakery, I ran back to the backlot and grabbed a hotdog. After eating we all headed for the backlot and Aladdin. After the show it was back to Disneyland. Headed down Main Street and out to Billy Hill's 2:35 performance. We had 30 minutes to kill so I hiked over to the Monorail Platform for Sub Lagoon shots and then through Innventions for Club Buzz shots before rejoining the group about 5 mintues before show time. After the show we headed out to Tomorrowland by way of the Hub and used our Buzz Fastpasses, then grabbed more for later. The parade was just going by so we walked quickly down Main Street to get in front of it and watched Walt Disneys Parade of Dreams from near the Fire station. After the parade it was back to DCA. First up we used our Soarin Fastpasses and then headed for Bugsland. Road the Chew Chew Train and the Rollem Buggies before heading out to the Pier. Road the Sun Wheel and then finished our loop of the Pier and headed for the Grand Californian and dinner at Storytellers Cafe. After our relaxing dinner we cut through DCA and picked up our free pictures we had taken earlier and then headed over to Disneyland for the rest of the day. Took the train from Main Street out to Toontown and jumped on Small World. Cut across the parade route and around the Matterhorn to Tomorrowland. Used our Fastpasses for Autopia and then for Buzz. Walked in front of the Castle and stopped at Carnation to catch a little of the 8pm Swingtown set. Then grabbed some Pop Corn and something to drink before calling it an early evening (it was a little before 9pm) and heading out to the tram and car to head home.
5/19/06 11.20 19,437 8:18 Started off this perfect afternoon heading for Disneyland. Entered the park and walked down Main Street. Circled the hub and headed for Tomorrowland. Grabbed a Fastpass for Buzz, cut through Club Buzz and went into Innoventions. Took some pictures from the balcony then over to the Monorail station for Sub Lagoon shots. Came down from the platform and wandered around the Matterhorn and through Fantasyland and the Big Thunder Trail on my way to NOS. Walked around the shops a bit then out to Haunted Mansion. Went for a ride to see the new attic scene then headed back to the parks entrance by way of Adventureland and Main Street. Over to DCA. Walked out to the farm area to check out the Food and Wine Festival. Wandered around the Marketplace, the Wharf area and the Golden Vine Winery. Next treked out to the backlot. The line for Monsters was short so hopped in it.. as I rounded the bend to get on the house lights came on and the attraction went down. So I bailed out of line. Cut back through Condor Flats and Around GRR on my way to the Pier area. While on the phone heard a clicking sound from Screamin' and saw it come to a e-stop. One train on the launch hill and another near the end. Watched for a while and then headed back to the parks entrance. Walked through Downtown Disney on my way out to dinner at ESPN Zone. After dinner hiked across the parking lots and out to the car to grab some warmer clothes then took the tram back to Disneyland. Walked down Main Street and out to NOS by way of Adventureland. Took another spin on the Huanted Mansion then wandered out to Critter Country and then doubled back and over to Tomorrowland. Caught the last couple of songs of the Soto set at Club Buzz then headed for Main Street. Decided it was too early to line up for Remember, still 45 minutes to go so walked through Frontierland and found a spot for Fantasmic. After the show back to Main Street and pulled up a spot for Remember near the Main Street Cinema. After the show back to the trams and car to head home.
4/21/06 16.81 21,964 8 I was greeted at the Disneyland Resort by a minor traffic jam on Disneyland Drive.. the light at Ball was backed up almost to the freeway off ramp. I thought this was a sign of bad things to come. As you rounded the bend to the parking structure a large sign read Theme Parks Very Busy, I thought well that was better than Full as it read during the holidays. I was directed up to the 5th floor and somehow lucked out and got the first spot in a row. Headed down to the tram stop and saw it was at least a 1 tram wait, probably 2 so I decided to hike over to Downtown Disney and take the Monorail into the park. Headed up to the monorail station and walked right up to gate number 1. I asked to sit in the front and the CM allowed it. So with no wait at security, the turnstyle, or to get on the Monorail I was off to Disneyland. Took some pictures as I exited the platform and decided since there was no line to hop back in line and go up to get the rest of my construction progress shots of the lagoon. After taking way too many pictures I headed down the ramp and over to Innoventions. Walked up the stairs and out to the second floor balcony to get shots of the Tomorrowland work. Headed down the ramp and over to Buzz to grab a Fastpass. Wandered through the Hub, Castle, Fantasyland and around Big Thunder Trail. The Columbia was boarding so jumped on board for a trip around the Rivers of America. Once back on the main land walked by Pirates and into Adventureland. Headed down Main Street and over to DCA. Headed for Condor Flats to grab a Soarin' Fastpass.. they were already gone for the day, wow. So I continued on through GRR and the Bay Area and out the Cove to see what was going on. Not much. So returned a couple phone calls and then lined up to catch Golden Dreams since it has been quite a while since I saw the film. Afterwards walked out on the Pier a bit and then over to the Wharf area. It was nearing 5pm at this time so headed back to Disneyland to watch the Flag Retreat. While waiting for it to start decided to start taking pictures of the Main Street upper story windows since I had a request for a comprehensive look at them. Managed to get through the East side of the street before 5pm. Watched the Retreat then headed down Main Street and to Tomorrowland to grab another Buzz Fastpass. Then back to Main Street to finish up the window shots, walking down the West side. After finishing the windows headed out to Downtown Disney to meet up with the Lazyhgeek and we went to the World of Disney to see the new Pirates merchandise. Then over to McDs for dinner. Walked back and went to Disneyland. Headed down Main Street and into Tomorrowland. Went up on the Monorail platform for some more pictures and then headed around the Matterhorn, through Fantasyland, the Big Thunder Trail and around the Rivers of America on our way to the Haunted Mansion. Only a 13 minute wait so we went for a ride. Afterwards wandered through NOS and Adventureland. Headed over to Tomorrowland to use our Buzz Fastpasses and then over to DCA. Walked down the Backlot to check out Monsters, 45 minute wait so too long. Took some pictures and then headed for Condor Flats and walked around GRR and out to the Pier. We had time to kill still so started a loop of the Pier starting by Avalon Cove/Ariels. We made it around to MM just about the time the MSEP (I still hate to call it DEP) started. Watched the parade and then followed it back to Golden Dreams before we verred off and headed through the Bay Area, around GRR, through Condor Flats and out of the park. Made it to the Esplanade about 5 minutes before the Fireworks were to start. Decided we were tired so stayed out there to watch them instead of heading into Disneyland. We waited till about 10 minutes after the expected start time and then headed out assuming they were canceled due to the winds. Took the tram back to the garage and headed home. No sign of the fireworks so I guess they were canceled.
3/24/06 16.93 22,126 8:01 Started off this perfect Spring day heading for Disneyland. Wandered down Main Street and around the hub. Walked through Tomorrowland, grabbing a Fastpass for Buzz. Next up the Star Traders shop to see what has changed since its completely re-opened now. Then out to the monorail station for sub lagoon shots. After coming down the ramp headed over to Innoventions. Took a quick look around and then out to the balcony for Tomorrowland shots. Walked past the Matterhorn and got pushed toward the castle due to the on coming parade. Walked through the Castle and Fantasyland on my way out to Toontown. Grabbed some shots of Goofys Playhouse and then Toontown in general. Walked back through Fantasyland and around the Big Thunder trail. Headed into Frontierland. The Mark Twain was boarding so went for a trip around the Rivers of America. Once back on land walked through Frontierland and to the Castle area. Took some pictures of the crowns and then off to Tomorrowland to grab another Buzz Fastpass. Headed back toward the Matterhorn and the new Fantasyland Restrooms which are finally open. Tried to get a couple pictures of the new restrooms without being the creepy guy taking pictures in the bathroom, much harder than it sounds, but managed to get a couple shots. Circled back to Main Street and headed over to DCA. Walked down the Backlot to see the Monsters line, 25 minutes which was above my tolerance level. So headed out of the backlot. Wandered around the entrance plaza a bit then headed for Condor Flats and around GRR on my way to the Bay Area and Pier to check out the recent rehab work. Wandered around there a bit then headed for the Wharf. Circled back through the entrance plaza and Condor Flats on my way to the Grand Californian to see what was going on. Walked the grounds a bit and through the lobby and into Downtown Disney. Walked out to the monorail station and road back to Tomorrowland (got into the cab for the ride). Once back in Disneyland walked past Matterhorn and toward the Hub. Took some Castle shots and continued on through Rancho del Zorro and by Big Thunder. Saw the doors still open for Billy Hill so went in for the final two numbers of the show. Then continued along the Rivers of America toward NOS. Turned around and cut through Adventureland on my way back to the Castle. Listened to the guest Jazz Band at Plaza Gardens and then headed for dinner at the Village Haus. After dinner walked along the Big Thunder trail and the Rivers of America on our way to the Haunted Mansion. There was no line so went for a ride. Still no new effects that we could tell. Walked back through Adventureland and down Main Street while the parade was on going. Headed over to DCA. Walked down the backlot to check out the Monsters Inc line, the attraction was down. Circled around and back toward the entrance plaza. Headed for the Wharf and the Bread tour. Then continued on to the Cove area to get some Pier shots. Turned around and walked past GRR and through Condor Flats. Decided to check the Backlot again, now Monsters was open but a 45 minute wait so headed back over to Disneyland. Used our Fastpasses for Buzz and then walked by Club Buzz. Decided to head over to Small World. Only a minute or so line so went for a cruise around the world. After cruising walked through Fantasyland and around the Big Thunder Trail. Ended up sitting in Frontierland for a while and watched Fantasmic from a distance. After the smoke started to head our way we wandered to Main Street and found a spot near the Disneyana store for the fireworks. After the show it was back to the trams and garage to head home.
3/10/06 N/A N/A 9:30 Started off the day heading for the Annual Stockholders meeting which was at the Pond this year. Arrived just before 8am expecting there to be long security lines and a lot of people. Instead I was greeted with Castmembers and characters everywhere. The security lines and merchandise tent lines were non-existant. Walked around and then into the Pond to find a seat for the event. Had to kill almost 90 minutes until the 10am start time. The meeting was still going on with a Q&A session when we bailed out at 12:15 to head for the parks. After hitting every red light on Ball made it to the Mickey & Friends garage finally. Parked the car and bundled up expecting a cold and rainy day at the Resort. Headed for DCA first. Walked through Condor Flats and grabbed a Fastpass for Soarin'. Continued on past GRR and the Bay Area as we headed for the Bakery in the Wharf for lunch. Luckily the sun popped out so we were able to sit outside and eat. After lunch walked out to the Pier and went for a spin on the Sun Wheel. Finished the loop of the Pier and then walked through the farm area stopping for some pictures of the Bugs entrance and then continued on to the entrance plaza and down the Backlot. Wanted to ride Monsters but the line was too long (35 minutes) so doubled back and went to Condor Flats to use our Soarin' Fastpasses. After riding it was time for Disneyland. Walked back to the entrance and across the Espalande. Once in Disneyland half the group grabbed some water and a spot for the 3:15 parade (it was just after 3:00). I headed for Buzz to grab Fastpasses and then up to the monorail station for lagoon shots before rejoining the group just as the parade started to roll down the street. Once the parade had concluded we walked into Adventureland. There was absolutely no line for the Jungle Cruise so went for the trip (by no line I really mean it I think there were maybe 10 guests on our boat). Continued on through Adventureland and NOS on our way out to see Haunted Mansion. When we arrived the gates were closed and Cast Members were out front saying they had audio problems and the attraction was donw. We continued on to Critter Country and went for a ride on Pooh since again there was no line. Walked through the Candy store and then headed back to see if Haunted Mansion was back up, it was not. Wandered through the NOS shops and then headed over to Tomorrowland by way of the hub to use our Buzz Fastpasses. After helping to defeat Zurg we headed to Frontierland with a brief detour for a Dole Whip in Adventureland. Finally got to see Farely the Fiddler and then the Laughingstock Company as we headed for the Golden Horseshoe and Billy Hills last show of the day. Once the show had concluded we wandered through Frontierland and the Big Thunder trail on our way to Fantasyland and grabbed dinner at the Village Haus. After dinner continued on through Fantasyland and to Small World Mall and into Toontown to check out Goofy's new playarea. Doubled back to the train station and road to Main Street. Exited the park and back over to DCA. Walked down the backlot and saw Monsters had a 20 minute wait posted. It took almost 30 minutes but we went for a ride. Stopped by the Animation Building to see what was going on and Turtle Talk was just letting its audience in so we joined in and watched the show. After visiting with Crush we headed back to the parks entrance and over to Disneyland. Walked down Main Street and through Adventureland on our way out to NOS. Haunted Mansion was finally running, with a short wait of about 10 minutes. After the Haunted Mansion found a spot for Fantasmic (had about 20 minutes till show time) and watched the River Rascals and waited. After for Fantasmic beelined to Main Street only to find out that Remember had already been canceled due to high winds. So headed down the street with the masses, out to the trams, and back to the car. Just got on the freeway and the rain started. Luckily it held off till then..
3/03/06 11.84 15,470 7:08 Started off this wet Friday afternoon arriving at the park to be greeted by quite a few guests considering the weather and all. Headed for Disneyland first. Wandered down Main Street and around the hub. Grabbed a Fastpass for Buzz and then up to the monorail station for some sub lagoon shots. Cut back by the Matterhorn toward the Castle to see if any visible progress on the Fantasyland Restrooms, a little.. then onto Toontown. Grabbed some pictures of the 3:15 parade since it was comeing by before heading over to DCA. Went down the Backlot and since Monsters was 20minutes (one of the shortest lines we have seen since it opened) went for a ride. Finished the backlot look and headed for Redwood Creek by way of Condor Flats. GRR was broken down (rafts were stopped) as I walked by. Redwood Creek has just re-opened (actually a couple areas were still closed) so made the rounds to see what was new or changed. After circling the area a couple of times headed for the Bay Area. The last house was uncovered and the new paint job on the East side of the area looks nearly complete. Golden Dreams is covered now. Continued on to the Pier and circled around stopping to check out the menu at the Pizza Place (I have never eaten there but decided to skip it this trip too). Walked by the Sun Wheel and Screamin. As I was heading out of the Pier area and by the Vineyard it started to drizzle lightly. Then it picked up to a steady rain. Headed out of the park and back across the Esplanade. Luckily the rain let up (only lasted about 5 minutes tops). Once in Disneyland headed down Main Street and through the Castle on my way to Fantsyland. Grabbed dinner at the Village Haus. After dinner wander through Frontierland and ended up at Pirates. Went for a last ride (it goes down next week) and then headed for Tomorrowland. Stopped by Buzz to finally use the Fastpass from earlier in the day and then grabbed some Ice Cream and settled in to watch the first Elvis set at Club Buzz. After the set circled the Matterhorn and walked through Tomorrowland killing some time till the second set began (only had 15 minutes or so). Watched the second set and then cut through the Hub and circled NOS to see the band performing on the Rivers of America. Decided to call it an early night and headed back to the tram and car to head home.

After the show walked along the Rivers of America and out to Critter Country. Back through NOS and into Adventureland. walked over to Tomorrowland and grabbed another Buzz Fastpass and then headed down to watch the Flag Retreat. Afterwards walked across the Esplanade and into DCA. Forgot about the Block Party Bash and had to push through the Aladdin exit crowd and Block Party Bash crowd to make my way into the backlot. Checked the Monsters line and then back through the masses on my way to Condor Flats and out to the Grand Californian. Walked through the Hotel and out to Downtown Disney. Headed down to the Rain Forest Cafe to use a gift certificate then to ESPN Zone to see what was going on. Walked through the parking lot and back to the garage to grab a heavier jacket for the evening. Took the tram back to Downtown Disney and headed to White Water snacks for dinner. After eating headed for DcA. Circled through GRR and the Bay area. Around the Wharf and headed for the Backlot to check out the Monsters line. Still too long so out of the park and over to Disneyland we went. Walked down Main Street and out to Tomorrowland, again hitting the tail end of the parade crowd and being jammed in. Used our Buzz Fastpasses. Wandered through Tomorrowland and Frontierland and into NOS. Took a ride on Pirates. After our cruise headed for Adventureland and the Tiki Room to dry out (we were in the first row on Pirates and got quite wet). After the Tiki Room still had some time before Remember so road the Jungle Cruise then headed for Main Street. Went up on the Train Station to watch the show. 1/20/06 15.76 20,856 8:07 Started off this great afternoon heading for Disneyland. Entered the park and wandered down Main Street, along the way stopping to look at the new flowers that have appeared everywhere it seems. Stopped by the line board and remembered why we enjoy the off season so much, there were no real lines to mention. Headed off to Tomorrowland and grabbed a fastpass for Buzz (for later) and continued on past the Sub Lagoon, around Matterhorn and out to Small World. Went for a cruise around the world then off to Toontown, on my way into Toontown caught a glimpse of the Lilly Belle rolling by on the track, great to see. After seeing what was going on at Goofys it was back through Fantasyland, circled near the castle then out to Big Thunder Trail. Stopped by the Ranch to see what was going on then continued on to the Rivers of America. Walked around to Haunted Mansion then back through NOS. Cut through Adventureland and down Main Street. Caught the Disneyland Band in Town Square then headed across the Esplanade and into DCA. Walked by the Vineyard and out to the Bay Area/Pier. Not much going on so cut back through GRR and Condor Flats. Headed down the Backlot to check out the wait for Monsters, too long for me.. saw the Drawn to the Magic show was being performed on the stage instead of the street, interesting move.. then wandered by Tower and made a U-turn and headed for the Grand Californian. Walked through the Lobby then out to Downtown Disney and the monorail. Once back in Disneyland grabbed another Fastpass for Buzz and headed back to NOS. Road Pirates and then back to Main Street. Caught a band at Plaza Gardens and then grabbed another Fastpass for Buzz before headed down Main Street and back to DCA. Hiked down the Backlot again to check Monsters, still too long. Decided it was time for warm clothes so out to the tram and garage to get the heavy jacket. We headed back to DCA and stopped by Monsters, still too long to squeeze in before we had to meet for dinner so wandered through the Animation Building then headed for the Grand Californian and Storytellers Cafe for dinner. After dinner back to DCA and to Monsters. It was 10 to 8 and the park was closing so we bit the bullet and got in the 35 minute line. We were moving good all the way till we entered the area of the queue with the telephones. The sound cut off, the air stopped, and the attraction went down. This was twice now it happened to us while waiting. This time we decided to stay and it took about 20 minutes but it did come back up and we were able to get on. After our ride DCA was closed so we headed back across the Esplanade to Disneyland. Headed down Main Street and to Tomorrowland. Used our Fastpasses for Buzz and then went to check out the Space Mountain line, 40 minutes and too long. So headed back through the hub and over to Adventureland. Saw there were not that many people in line so went on the Jungle Cruise (even though it had a 25 minute wait posted, the sign was wrong). After our adventure we headed back to Main Street to catch Remember, which was already in progress (just starting the Adventureland segment as we hit Main Street). After the show headed for the tram and cars and home..
1/06/06 15.99 21,159 7:50 Started off this picture perfect Southern California winter day (it was pushing 90 degrees when I arrived at the resort) by being directed to the roof to park. Arrived at the parks and headed for DCA. Walked down the backlot and around the newly opened Hollywood Studios area to get some more detailed pictures that I could not get Christmas day. Thought about jumping on Monsters but the line was an hour long. So wandered around the backlot a bit then walked out toward the Wharf/Bay Area. Looked around the edge of the Pier area as well as the Bay area, not much going on so cut by GRR and walked out to the Grand Californian. Walked around the Resort a bit, wanted to see how the lobby was repairs were coming along. Then out to Downtown Disney. Walked out to the monorail station, but unfortunately the monorails were down. Walked back through Downtown Disney and headed for Disneyland. Walked down Main Street to the hub. Decided to cross the parade route (the 3:15 parade was just heading toward Main Street) and headed for Tomorrowland. Grabbed a Fastpass for Buzz and walked toward the Monorail station, still down, so continued on past the Matterhorn and out the Small World Mall. The wave of parade watchers was coming my way so waded upstream to Small World. No walls up, but its being switched back to the regular show from the holiday show. Next up out to Toontown. Walked around the residential area, going up in Donald's House to see if I could see into Goofy's backyard which was under construction. Couldn't see much. Headed out of Toontown and into Fantasyland. Roamed around a bit taking some pictures then continued on down the Big Thunder trail. Walked around the Rivers of America toward New Orleans Square. Turned around and headed back toward Tomorrowland and over to the monorail. There was only one train running, so the wait was long, but decided to go up to the station to get some shots of the lagoon. I skipped the one way trip though. Back down on the ground headed back over to Frontierland. On the schedule they said a fiddler was supposed to be out around 4:30. No sight of him so headed back to Tomorrowland via Adventureland to grab another Buzz Fastpass. Got the Fastpass and decided to go check out the Monsters line. So walked down Main Street, across the Esplanade and got in line for DCA. There was a good size line because it was a little after 5 and the parade was going to start soon. Got in right as the parade left the gate. Headed for the backlot and ran into a wall of people. Seems the crowd from the 4:15 Aladdin show was making there way out (why isn't that show earlier to avoid this bottle neck), anyways.. pushed my way through and headed down the backlot. The line was shorter but still outside my patience at 45 minutes. So wandered around taking some pictures, went to check on the Tower line, 75 minutes, WOW. Decided to head out to the Pier so cut through Condor Flats and the Bay area. Got out to the Pier about the same time the parade did. Took a couple pictures and decided to jump on the Zephyr since there was no one on it really. Went for a spin then hiked back through the park, out to the tram and back tot he car for a sweatshirt in anticipation of the cooling evening. Next up a quick return at World of Disney then dinner at Storyteller's. After dinner headed back to DCA. Walked through Condor Flats and back to the Backlot. Walked around the new area to get some night shots then decided to bite the bullet and wait in the 45 minute line for Monsters. Waited about 50 minutes and were about a dozen people from getting on when the ride broke down. It was just after 9pm by this time. They said they had to reset the attraction which would take 20-30 minutes. We decided to bail and head for Disneyland to catch the fireworks. Made it into the park and reached Town Square right as Julie Andrews came on with the intro. Found a spot near the Main Street Cinema to watch the show. Then back to the trams, cars, and headed home.
24 269.63 203:41 Totals
Note: These totals may be skewed because the pedometer is zero'd when we start and then left alone and read when we leave. So attractions, and other things may cause extra "steps" to be counted. The pedometer that we use basically measures up/down motion as a step, so if your standing in line and moving up and down it may be counting steps, etc.. so the total distances traveled and steps may be off.. so use these as rough distance comparisons between trips and they may not be accurate in terms of actual distance traveled.
