Geek's Thoughts: Wow what a great two disc set. I really enjoy learning about and seeing Disneyland and how it has evolved and this DVD set has some great footage and commentaries. It includes several interviews, commentaries, artwork, time lapse footage, and more plus a three TV programs. This is the evolution of a disc that was promoted a bit for the 50th anniversary of Disneyland and never materialized. I have to say it was definitely worth the wait! The main documentary on the first disc is interesting hearing about the parks formation, construction, and early years from people who were there. I really enjoyed the time lapse footage on the second disc. Watching the park take shape from several different vantage points was great! Also it was amazing to watch and learn about the logistics for what went into creating the live TV broadcast of the parks opening. How they brought cameras and equipment in from around the country and I think they said there were 17 cameras in all and they came from up and down the west coast. How the world has come a long way in 50 plus years.
