Geek's Thoughts: Over There is a story about on a small shrew named Shredder who sets out on a journey to find a sparkling object he saw in the distance and along the way discovers something else. This book is part of the Pixar Animation Studios Artist Showcase series aimed at children ages 3-5. These pictures books spotlight the artists of Pixar and enable them to create new worlds and stories to share. Steve Pilcher was a production designer on Brave and currently works at Pixar.

 

Since I do have any children I really have no point of reference to comment on this book. I flipped through it and took a look at the artwork and it is very well done. The hard cover book features illustrations that encompass most of the page and many times the two page spread. The text is minimal given the target ages.
