Geek's Thoughts: The perfect addition to any disneygeek's library. If you want to see how Disneyland rose from the Orange grooves and what it looked like when it opened this is a perfect book for you. This great book is the first in a series of photobooks by Mell Kilpatrick and Carlene Thie. This one features pictures of Disneyland's construction and some of the expansion in 1959. What I really enjoyed with this book is all the pictures are full size, meaning they take up the entire page almost. There is a small header with the date and a short, one line, footer with a decription. My only complaint with the book is that is not available as a hardback. And of course the usual complaint of wanting more. I look forward to getting the other books in the series to see how they are.
