Geek's Thoughts: Written by Mindy Johnson and Illustrated by Lorelay Bové this book shares the stories of 20 great girls of Walt Disney Animation. The motto of the book is all girls are great girls! It showcases the careers and achievements of these women who represent a fraction of the hundreds who worked at the Walt Disney Studios from the 20s through 50s. This book is targeted at reading levels of grades 3-7 and the women profiled are a subset of those in the larger/longer format Ink & Paint the Women of Walt Disney Animation.

This book profiles: Lilian Disney, Edna Disney, Dorthy Ann Blank, Nelhert Chouinard, Marge Champion, Hazel Sewell, Mary Weiser, Kae Sumner, Sylvia Holland, Mildred Rossi, Gyo Fujikawa, Mary Goodrich, Grace Huntington, Elizabeth Chambers, Mary Blair, Mary Costa, Retta Scott, Berta Be Tamargo, Rae Medhy, and Retta Davidson.

I really enjoyed this book. The stories of these women are interesting and the condensed and straight forward writing in the book make it a quick read.
