Arrived at the Pixar Pals parking structure just before 7am and was directed into a spot on the Cars level.
Hard to tell but the new elevators were in open as well as the new walkway to the Chip & Dale level. I had to get in line to reach the park and no time for pictures now.
Here is passing by the new crosswalk/walkway to Chip and Dale on the tram.

Another view of the new walkway.
7:21am and the Esplanade looks really full. The lines were inching forward so gates were already open.
7:28am we are in the park (note we met the rest of our group which cut our wait time down). They were filming something in Town Square.
  • Page Number: 3
The Valentine's Day photo op was still up and more of the filming equipment at the point.
Main Street USA at 7:29am, about 30 minutes until park opening. They played announcements about the boarding groups a couple of times as we waited.
The Emporium was not open yet.
  • Page Number: 4
A lot of guests milling around on Main Street USA looking at their phones and discussing the optimal way to get a boarding group.
Several characters were out and about in Town Square this morning.
Dale lent a hand with crowd control, directing guests into the park.

The Chip and Dale decided to form a tunnel for guests to walk under.
Minnie Mouse was out visiting with guests.
  • Page Number: 6
The parking opening announcement ran a couple minutes before 8am then there was quiet among most of the crowd as they waiting, watching for the clock to strike 8am and boarding groups to open.
Many people once they had a group number let out a cheer.
  • Page Number: 7
I managed to get group 31 for our group. By 8:01am regular groups were gone. Backup groups ran until almost 8:15 it looked like.
8:03am - With a boarding group secured we decided to head for Disney California Adventure. As we exited the line to enter Disneyland was still a wall of guests.
It stretched all the way to DCA, which made crossing the Esplanade a challenge.

Picked up FastPasses for Radiator Springs Racers for the early afternoon then decided to go for a spin on Luigis. There was a posted 5 minute wait.
From the queue of Luigis you can see some of Avengers Campus work.

The 5 minute wait was a bit off and it was really 17 minutes from entering the queue until we were seated in cars.

    Pixar Pier this morning.
We had my two nephews at the park today (10 months and 3.5 years) so paid a visit to the Critter Carousel.
  • Page Number: 12
Then went for a spin on the Pixar Pal-A-Round. Noticed metal fins are now on the bottom of the gondolas.
A closer look. These are to help slow/hold the gondolas in the load/unload station.
Also interesting today they were not boarding through the center gate for non swinging. There was a chain and you entered through the first swinging gate after both gondolas exited.
