    Arriving at the Disneyland Resort just before 8am.
    The new Mickey and Friends elevator work is moving along. On the ground the pavers are being finished in the area as the old are being removed and replaced with new ones to match the rest of the plaza.

    Looks like they are working on the area around the escalators, not the escalators themselves.
    Paver work on both sides of the old escalator as they are replacing the pavers in the area to make them match the rest of the plaza.

    This morning most cars were being directed to the Pixar Pals structure so all was quiet in this area.

    Looks like most of the paver replacement work is done in this area.. just a small section on the left, then they will reconfigure the fences again.

    Looks like the railing stayed. So it was work on the ground only.

    First stop today, Disney California Adventure. The walls have been shrunk around the Red Car Stop. So you can see some of the ground now.
    The charging mechanism for the Red Cars has been installed at this stop.
    Buena Vista Street this morning, this was at 8:15am, so just 15 minutes after park opening.

    Christmas preparations are underway in Grizzly Recreation area. The lights are being installed in the trees.

    They moved quickly though, under 10 minutes from leaving DCA to Main Street.
    The opera house exterior renovation is still underway. The scrims/wraps were pulled back and you could see the scaffolding and project status.

    Renovation/repair work on the Matterhorn continues so it is only operating at half capacity still. It closes for renovation on Monday.

    Lights for its a small world holiday are being installed. The attraction closes Monday for the annual switchover.

    The background hills of Toon Town have been removed (and the backstage building too). This is where the new Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway attraction will be built.

    FastPass distribution for Tomorrowland has moved to this set of kiosks in the former queue space for the theater. You can pick up a FastPass for Space Mountain, Star Tours or Buzz Lightyear here.
    The sun was not helpful in getting a picture of the sign. This looks to be one of the former Galaxy's Edge boarding pass signs.
    The kiosks are straightforward to use. Scan your ticket.

    Choose which attraction you want a FastPass for.
    Now the new part.. you have to remember your time, check the app, or ask a CM.. no more paper reminders are printed.
    Right now there are only 3 kiosks. There were no real waits when I was in the area this morning.

    The old FastPass machines are still there as the new kiosks are in a test phase, but the plan will be to retire those and reclaim the space for other purposes.

    The entrance facades on both sides of Tomorrowland are still being worked on. The scrims were pulled back so you could get a look at the work today. All the panels are removed.

    Tomorrowland entry/exit is a tight squeeze still with the renovation work.
    Snow has begun to accumulate on the roof of Sleeping Beauty Snowfall as it experiences the annual snowfall in preparation for the holiday season which starts November 8th.

    We were at the 12 hour mark for this visit and the group was running out of energy so we called it a night just after 8pm.
