I arrived at the Mickey and Friends parking structure this after lunch and encountered no delays and plenty of spaces available.
The preferred areas were mostly empty too on the couple floors I took a look at.
Let us start off with a look at the Pixar Pals Parking Structure. The project is entering the final phases with a projected opening before the end of June.
  • Page Number: 2
Today it looks like they just poured the concrete for the new tramway leading from the load area to the Mickey and Friends structure.
Lights have been installed and the railings covered to protect them.
Further into the tram stop it appears concrete has already been poured.
  • Page Number: 3
The fencing around this area is installed and being painted.
Supplies still staged on the driveway.
Lights are installed on the roof level and other elements are being added.
  • Page Number: 4
Down below landscaping work was underway between the two structures.
  • Page Number: 5
A different angle look at the new concrete. Also notice more fencing appears installed at the tram stop.
Moving over to the current tram stop.
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge Billboards are up. The land opens today for those with reservations (I do not have one so you will not be seeing any photos from Batuu today).
  • Page Number: 6
Since my last visit the roof has been completed, more pavers installed and more fencing being added.
A closer look at the roof
A closer look at the new railings that are going in around the supports.
  • Page Number: 7
Looking down you can see the stair case entrance/exit. Also to the right more fencing is installed.
A better look at the fencing and what looks to be where a gate will be added.
The curve looks to be for a re-enforced section of pavers leading to the gate. Guessing it can be used as a driveway if needed. Where as the sections of pavers under the awning do not have concrete under them.
  • Page Number: 8
More pavers being installed in the distance.
The gate is open and you can see out into Magic Way as they work on the far sections.
  • Page Number: 9
Most of the paneling has been added to the escalator and wall areas.
    A closer look
Pavers are now installed out to the tram unload station near the temporary walkway.
  • Page Number: 10
Pavers are installed around the escalators too. And looks like seating around the tree.
A closer look at the paver work on the far side.
  • Page Number: 11
Panning to the left the pavers by the other escalators look mostly installed now too.
    The temporary walkway.
A wider view of the area. That large sign is warning that reservations are required for Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge.
  • Page Number: 12
A closer look at the sign.
The escalator area looks just about complete.
  • Page Number: 13
    A closer look.
Plants have been added along the new structure, just like Mickey and Friends.
  • Page Number: 14
A closer look at the plants.
These look like they plan to block the view from the new structure, unlike Mickey and Friends where you can see out.
Several of the gates have been installed at the security entry queues.
  • Page Number: 15
A closer look. Beyond the gate you can see the tables for bag check have been installed too.
This area looks almost ready for landscaping.
A closer look at the far side. You can see the new walkway and tram route taking shape.
  • Page Number: 16
To the left of that work is the temporary walkway on what will be the tramway eventually.
To the right you can see where the tramway will go under the escalator area and then enter the structure.
A wider look at what will be the new entry for bag check.
  • Page Number: 17
No traffic entering at the moment. A team is changing the cones to make the Ball road overpass exit only.

Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge is officially open.

Time to head down the escalator.
Here you can more clearly see the paver driveway, gate, and beyond it the new concrete for the tramway.
Here you can see the landscaping work between the two structures.

Panels are being added to the connection span raising the wall along the walkway portion.
Once at ground level more signs warning you that you will not be able to enter Batuu.

Making my way across Magic Way.
The new ramp is taking shape. This will be the entry/exit ramp to the bridge that will cross Magic Way to the parking structure.
  • Page Number: 24
Here is where the bridge will pass through the trees.
Looking back at the Pixar Pals Parking Structure.
  • Page Number: 25
Signage is installed on the levels.
The trees appear to be all in now and work on the sidewalk, gate, and other landscaping is underway.

Here you can see the ramp leading down toward Downtown Disney.

A DJ in Downtown Disney this afternoon. No one in the area when I walked by.
Sugarboo & Co opened since my last visit.
  • Page Number: 29

No line for the take out counter at Black Tap this afternoon.

Main Street USA this afternoon. The Get Your Ears on decorations are all gone.
Goofy on the run. Also note the traditional summer bunting is up on the building.
  • Page Number: 38
Mickey Mouse, and all the other characters, are back in their regular costumes, no more Get Your Ears on Celebration outfits.
Esmeralda was out of order and unavailable.
Main Street transportation was out and making the rounds.
  • Page Number: 39
The project stardust work has wrapped up and the hub area is wall free today. The Jolly Holiday lost some seating space and the walkway has been expanded. This will be nice during the evening hours.
    Refreshment Corner seating.
  • Page Number: 40
On an uncrowded afternoon the newly widened walkway feels really large for Disneyland.
The braille map has stayed but guest relations has moved to the other side of the street.
  • Page Number: 41
The new Adventureland sign has been installed since my last visit. It appears they are still adding elements to it.
The walls are all down and you can see to Fantasy Faire again. The water looks a tad brown though.
  • Page Number: 42
Looking back at the new open look for the area.
Moving ahead. The planters have been shrunk and the coffee kiosk and odv cart are no longer in the area.
Nice to see plenty of benches still.
  • Page Number: 43
A closer look at the new railing and shrunk garden area.
  • Page Number: 44
Sleeping Beauty Castle renovation work is now complete. All the walls are removed.
  • Page Number: 45
In addition to looking bad the moat water did not smell that good either.
A closer look at the castle.
  • Page Number: 46
  • Page Number: 47
Moving over to the east side.
  • Page Number: 48
The Herb Ryman tree near Aladdin and Jasmine.
The Evil Queen was checking out the castle complaining about it.
Captain Hook was nearby visiting with guests too.
  • Page Number: 49
Looking back at the recently expanded walkway.
    Looking toward Tomorrowland.
Of course Aladdin and Jasmine are standing right by the one tree I want to take a picture of.
  • Page Number: 50
The best I could do with characters and guests meeting nearby.
Peter Pan stopped to visit with Aladdin and Jasmine.
  • Page Number: 51
Guest relations has a podium on the south side of the new walkway near the Plaza Inn
On the north side there is a new digital wait time board.
The wait times just before 2pm
  • Page Number: 52
There are two displays, here is the other. The info is the same that used to be on the traditional board.
I took a quick look into Star Traders and they had the store partitioned off with merchandise. This is the walkway for guests exiting Star Tours and for general merchandise. The other side was using the side door and had a queue for Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge Merchandise
No queues at the Star Wars Launch Bay right now. Merchandise for Galaxy's Edge is upstairs and down stairs is the checking for those with reservations.
  • Page Number: 53
Alien Pizza Planet is just about finished. The sign has a little more work to go but everything else looks finished.
  • Page Number: 54
Inside the beverage station has been removed from the middle and replaced with the tray dispenser.
The interior props look the same to me.
  • Page Number: 55
The beverage station has moved past the registers along the back wall (opposite the entrance/Tomorrowland windows).
  • Page Number: 56
A wider look at the beverage station.
To help place where it is. The registers are on the left. To my right the dining area by the Space Mountain entry walkway.
Toy Story 4 has taken over the Tomorrowland Theater. The planters and queue area have been reconfigured. The planters have been shrunk to open the area up and it is no longer a closed in outdoor queue space.
  • Page Number: 57
A closer look at the sign.
Here you can see the reduced planter. Stroller parking around it.
This is no longer the primary entry to the theater. It appears to be for stroller parking. You can walk through a small path to the left to reach the entrance.
  • Page Number: 58
From the Space Mountain entrance area is the only entrance to the queue now.
I will circle back later to see the preview.
For now time to head up to the second floor of the Launch Bay. No queue at the moment.
  • Page Number: 59
Once you enter there was a series of queue spaces set up, but not in use this afternoon (I skipped pictures of empty queues with tape on the carpet). You reach this small area with merchandise on display.
A quick look at some of the merchandise. They had opening day as well as some general Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge merchandise. Also a couple limited edition pin sets available. I think everything except one pin set was still available when I went through.
  • Page Number: 60
  • Page Number: 61
A photo op in the space.
Plenty of opening day and open edition pins.
    Some of the other merchandise.
  • Page Number: 62
They had some plush for sale
The next area was blocked off and had AP items and then the registers. There were quite a few registers and when I walked through more cast members and registers than guests so it was a quick process.
  • Page Number: 63
I purchased the Annual Passholder opening day pin
As well as the regular limited edition opening day pin. Both were $15.99 and you could use your AP discount.
For opening day there were also commemorative park maps. When I entered there were none out at the park entrance but I did pick up this dinged up one at a register in the Launch Bay.
  • Page Number: 64
    The map folded out.
  • Page Number: 65
Here is the regular park map and times guide (which were also hard to come by, most distribution areas were empty or covered.
  • Page Number: 66
The park map has been expanded slightly with an extra flap.
  • Page Number: 67
To exit you were directed downstairs.
The character meet and greets and gift shop were available on the first floor. The rest of it was blocked off for reservation check in.
  • Page Number: 68
    Waits were minimal this afternoon.
  • Page Number: 69
Decided to go for a round trip voyage on the Monorail. Looking out over the sub lagoon as I made my way up the ramp to the Monorail.
A look at the former Carousel Inn site they are still working on. Looks like lights going in and the area leveled for concrete. Assuming this will be a driveway to reach the expanded cast member parking lot on the former eastern gateway site.
  • Page Number: 70
A look at the work going on in the Downtown Disney parking lot. This is the section closest to Disneyland Drive. There is a large pit dug.
    Moving to the right.
  • Page Number: 71
In the distance you can see the new parking structure and just barely make out the ramp taking shape for the bridge that will connect the two.
No waits to enter Disneyland as I glided over the entrance.
  • Page Number: 72
    Walking through Fantasyland this afternoon.
The Mr. Toad queue was just outside the door.
Peter Pan was not using the extended queue.
  • Page Number: 73
Looks like this cart will be staying here vs being right behind the Castle.
  • Page Number: 74
The Big Thunder Trail had guests on it but was not that busy.
The Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge entrance/exit nearest Fantasyland was blocked off.
The one nearest Big Thunder was an option for guests exiting the land to use.
  • Page Number: 75
Jumping over to Critter Country. The umbrellas marked where you had to have a valid wristband to pass. They were checking your wristband for entry to Galaxy's Edge.
The Hungry Bear Restaurant received a new sign along the walkway as well as the new shade structure over the back dining area.
  • Page Number: 76
A look at the new shady dining area. A different feel than the umbrellas.

Next stop Disney California Adventure. Here is a look at the current park map and times guide.
I had a FastPass for an attraction that went down. Instead of a multi experience FastPass you receive a Replacement Experience one that offers similar attractions.
Here is the list it showed for me.
  • Page Number: 83
I found it odd it singled out Peter Pan as not available. Why even list it? If it was not on the list of available attractions the assumption is it is not available. And why list just one?
Five & Dime strolled in to perform vs riding in this set.

  • Page Number: 88
The app said a 5 minute wait for the Pal-A-Round. It would have been closer to 15 minutes but they started grouping small parties and I was able to jump ahead several gondolas since they needed a filler.
Not a lot of visible progress on the queue.
  • Page Number: 89
Looks like water weights for ride testing in the cars. Also the perimeter fencing is being installed and other elements.
