  • Page Number: 1
The connection between the 4th floor of the Mickey and Friends and Pixar Pals garages looks ready to go behind the fence.
The near stair case looks done. to the right the bridge to the Pixar Pals structure.
Looking into the structure you can see the ramp on the 4th floor.
  • Page Number: 2
Looks like some work on the walkway, notice in the distance the columns covered in plastic to protect them.
Looking out over the tram stop area. A strip of concrete has been poured near the Pixar Pals structure.
A closer look at the new concrete.
  • Page Number: 3
A wider look at the Pixar Pals Parking Structure. Opening in a little over two months.
More curbs are in and they are preparing to install pavers under the steel canopy structure.
Hre you can see teams leveling off gravel and compacting it. On the left are pavers on pallets.
  • Page Number: 4
Looking at the configuration this appears to be where they security queues will be.
More curbs and landscaping going in at the top of the frame.
  • Page Number: 5
Work continues on the escalator area. A new temporary walkway through the construction has opened on the left.
    Back to the paver preparations.
Here a worker is compacting the base material. Beyond it you can see what appears to be pavers installed inside the structure.
  • Page Number: 6
The pavers staged and ready to be installed.
A closer look at a recent curb that was poured.
  • Page Number: 7
Crews working around the escalator area.
Panels being installed on the span between the escalators and elevators.
  • Page Number: 8
A lot of activity on the escalators today and more elements of the roof structure have been installed.
Here is a better look at the temporary walkway. They removed the concrete that was the old temporary walkway/tramway.
  • Page Number: 9
  • Page Number: 10
A good look underneath. It appears they will be installing gates like they have at the park entrances. This will make for a more permanent solution than the temporary moveable barriers that have been used at security check points since their creation after 9/11.
A closer look. Assuming the gates will attach to the outer poles and then swing toward the structure to open. If that guess is correct, then once you step inside is where the bag check tables and metal detectors will be.
  • Page Number: 11
  • Page Number: 12
Notice on the end how the framing for the gate wraps around the stairway area.
The indentations on the structure above will most likely be signs indicating if the lane is open or closed.
The far stairway looks painted and nearing completion.
  • Page Number: 13
A better view of the temporary walkway on what will eventually be the tram way. Notice the team on the left and that portion has been cleared already.
A closer look at the escalators.

  • Page Number: 16
Moving to the other side of the structure and a look at the Star Wars work. The last big section of visible scaffolding has been removed since my last visit.
The back side of this rock formation is now complete.
As I panned across the site I saw no visible scaffolding from this angle.

On the far right hand side some steel still sticks out. Wonder what will be attached there.

  • Page Number: 23
Visible progress on the Marvel Project. Steel is rising up for the first attraction that will be taking over the former Bugs Theater.
    A closer look.
The new steel extends the building beyond the former queue space.

  • Page Number: 26
  • Page Number: 27
Character graphics have been added above the benches on Pixar Pier near the wheel. I will stop by later for a closer look at all of them.
With two attractions in the area closed the Pal-A-Round line was now 45 min and in reality it was longer.. it spill out to the walkway and turned toward the Whirlwind.. so I was guessing over an hour.
  • Page Number: 28
So I skipped it and will try later.
You could see the top of a large set piece that is the backdrop for the Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind.
In the foreground the concept art for the attraction.

The walls have been pushed back from the hub by the Castle. The curbs have been removed on the northern side of the street.
  • Page Number: 48
Speaking of removed the Adventureland entrance sign is gone. They will be replacing it with a new one that is large enough to span the entire walkway.
A temporary sign is off to the side. Anyone recognize this? It used to hang on the Tahitian Terrace. So a little Disneyland history for the temporary sign.
The support column and concrete around it has been removed and patched already so the walkway is wide open.
  • Page Number: 49
    Looking back.
Overhead you could see a bee hive in one of the trees.

  • Page Number: 71
Peter Pan had a relatively short wait this afternoon.
Only 30 minutes.. shorter than the Pixar Pal-A-Round (Big Thunder was posted at 25 minutes when I walked by so I could have ridden both of those in about the same amount of time as one trip on the wheel).
You could walk through the either pathway to get around the castle today.
  • Page Number: 72
A wide look at the castle status and new brickwork in the foreground. Also notice the projector tower on the right is repainted.

This morning Disneyland announced that Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway is coming to Disneyland Toontown. All indications are it will be in a new building replacing backstage facilities behind Toontown. A rumored entry way is through the current Gag Factory. Seems that the City Hall area would be a potential too.
