My welcome back after 3 weeks due to my Asia trip was a nice long crawl to a parking spot in the Mickey and Friends Parking Structure. Traffic came to a halt at the bottom of the ramp and was like this all the way into a spot.
Once parked my first glimpse of Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge from the 4th floor.
I smelled food and looked down to find a Food Truck in the cast member lot this afternoon.
  • Page Number: 2
The far section of the cast member lot is being used as the tram staging and maintenance area.
An overview of the Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge project from the top of the Mickey and Friends Parking Structure.
  • Page Number: 3
A couple video clips of the Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge project from the top of the Mickey and Friends Parking Structure.
A closer look starting on the left with the Millennium Falcon show building. The exterior trim looks complete now.
Moving to the right you can see they have added decorative panels an the side of the building. In the background more rock formations are taking shape.
  • Page Number: 4
Scaffolding is up around the structure we saw on our last trip in village/market area.
A closer look at the Millennium Falcon building. They still have the side open to facilitate loading the attraction equipment in.
  • Page Number: 5
The steel in the foreground is receiving wire mesh for the rock work. In the background the large peaks look to have more color now.
  • Page Number: 6
A closer look at the structure in the middle.
Wire mesh being added to the steel to form rocks.
Concrete has been applied to the mesh as we go further right, this is on top of the Battle Escape Building.
  • Page Number: 7
Continuing further right the next section looks to be ready for concrete.
  • Page Number: 8
Looking down the backstage road some activity.
The steel structure we saw last trip has progressed a little but I was expecting more in three weeks.
  • Page Number: 9
    A closer look
  • Page Number: 10
A forest has been planted on the roof of the tunnel that acts as the berm toward Critter Country. So our view into the site and into the park beyond has been taken away.
    Back to the rock formations.

Looking into the Battle Escape building you still cannot make out anything.
A break area for the construction crews.
A step forward, the pipes have been pressurized.
  • Page Number: 18
I am assuming these large metal screens are decorative elements to break up the large building and try and make it look a little smaller. They do not seem to be for any other purpose.
    A closer look.
  • Page Number: 19
Moving on to the next project, the new parking structure. Ground clearing and grading has continued. Here is a quick video look around.
Looking out over the tram stop area.

It is nice to visit other parks but there is a feeling about being back at Disneyland that is home for me.
  • Page Number: 32
Pixar Fest banners and bunting are up on Main Street USA. Guess no red, white and blue this summer. It is subtle and ok but I am a traditionalist.
As I entered the Disneyland Band was performing in Town Square, so I stopped to listen.
  • Page Number: 33
You've Got a Friend in Me is the theme for Pixar Fest. Most groups throughout the resort have added it to their sets. Here is the Disneyland Band's rendition.

The queue looks like a series of tents.
The organ is still there and the queue passes by it.
One of the exits. Surprised they did not make it a ramp.
  • Page Number: 50
There is still a path that leads about 2/3 the way around the attraction.
