    I arrived at the Disneyland Resort just after 7am and walked to the parks through Downtown Disney since I had 45 minutes until rope drop.

    Splitsville has extended out to fill its full footprint. The building comes out a lot further than House of Blues.

    At 7:30am Downtown Disney is really peaceful.
    First stop this morning Disney California Adventure.
    Buena Vista Street as the sun started to break through.

    A majority of the guests waiting for the park to open were in Hollywood Land. There were two long lines.. one for stand by the other FastPass distribution for Guardians of the Galaxy Mission Breakout.
    The crowd heading into the park, almost every one of these guests turned for Racers FastPasses or into Cars Land.

    The grapes are growing. I do not think the hot weather has helped them.
    No one stopped for pictures..
    I went out to Paradise Pier. They were working on one of the World of Color sections.

    The Pier was a ghost town at 8:04am.
    Mr. Potatohead was no up yet.
    Renovation work going on for the small interior portion of the Toy Story queue.. would be nice to see them add A/C or better fans.

    FastPass scanner before you pick up your glasses. Not in use yet since there was no one there.. Cast Members out numbered guests.
    Only saw one group heading in to play, no one else around.
    A rare site.. a completely empty queue.

    I still could not get best of the hour or day and it was 8:12am.. with no one around!
    A couple shirts on the way out that drew my eye.

    No signs of anyone working on the raised portion.

    At 8:17am.. a nearly instant return time.. it was still a walk on so no need for FastPass this morning.
    Next stop the Fun Wheel. Only two gondolas were loaded, us and one swinging so we were given a rare treat.. two full rotations without stopping.
    The Anaheim Convention expansion is in the final stages.

    Ornament Valley this morning. Since we did not stop I could not wait for race to pass by.

    The Pier was still really empty at 8:26am.
    The renovation work in this area seems to be dragging on.

    Had my own Zephyr.. actually only my group was on board.. it was a private ride.
    Out for a leisurely boat ride.. feeding the ducks this morning. It seemed they were waiting for someone or something.

    Noticed the newer environmental trashcan does not really have a Cars theme to it.

    Guardians had a 30 minute stand by time only. A quick look in the gift shop.
    A performing arts group on the stage.
    Renovation work continues in the Animation Building so the main lobby is closed.

    Entered the park around 9:30am.
    Onboard the Omnibus and waiting to set off for the hub. Only one bus running this morning.

    Walking toward Frontierland. The work on the left side of the entrance has wrapped up.
    The flags and fort wall have been replaced.
    The guns and other props have not returned.

    The Mark Twain was circling the Rivers of America this morning.

    I walked around to the other side of the Island to watch the Mark Twain come around the corner.
