  • Page Number: 1
A video clip of the Star Wars Construction site from the Mickey and Friends Parking Structure.
    A overview of the site.
Starting on the left the mound of dirt continues to shrink. Beyond it you can see the steel for what looks to be a backstage building taking shape.
  • Page Number: 2
    Moving to the right.
The tunnel that will lead toward Fantasyland, beyond it more work going on the former skyway hill.
  • Page Number: 3
Continuing to the right you can see the Frontierland tunnel and then the Fantasmic backstage marina structure.
Dirt was being brought in and compacted against the new wall along the river path.
  • Page Number: 4
    Cranes working near Critter Country.
  • Page Number: 5
A new wall taking shape along the new backstage roadway. The path for the new road is between that wall and the tramway fence.
A closer look at the tunnel toward Fantasyland. Looks like they are extending the walls to the left. You can see the footer and some re-bar.
  • Page Number: 6
You can see the top of the steel support structures just topping the dirt the crane is on. That will be for the rock work along the Big Thunder Trail.
More walls taking shape near the marina.
  • Page Number: 7
Out toward Critter Country some forms up as they work on the new path connection and the Canoe dock area.
  • Page Number: 8
The beams we saw last visit have been driven into the ground and will be for a retaining wall near where the train exits Critter Country, so my guess was wrong last time.
Speaking of Critter Country, it is closed right now, so the walkway is empty in the distance.
A look at the marina area. Most of the roof looks done, just one last segment to do.
  • Page Number: 9
In the lot closest to the structure work continues on the foundation and basement for one of the show buildings.
Looks like footers going in on the far side.
  • Page Number: 10
    A closer look.
They continue to remove dirt from behind the retaining wall.
The new steel structure I mentioned earlier. Guessing it is a backstage support building.
  • Page Number: 11
The Tower of Terror is mostly surrounded by scaffolding now.
The rock work on the point of the island looks to be moving along.
More wire mesh for rockwork waiting to be installed.
  • Page Number: 12
In the distance you can see wire mesh with scaffolding for rockwork (beyond the concrete pumping truck).
  • Page Number: 13
A staging area for the forms. Looks like dirt will soon be brought in here to raise the level on the far wall to cover the black.
Here you can see them removing the dirt from behind this wall.
  • Page Number: 14
A wide shot of the site.
A quiet afternoon on Disneyland Drive.
No real visible progress on the tram stop work.
  • Page Number: 15
Do want to note that they have closed the gate to Magic Way. You have to walk around the tram stop to the light by the entrance to Downtown Disney. Making it a longer trek to the parks.
This parking area was coned off and not in use today.
Temporary barriers staged in the lot.
  • Page Number: 16
