  • Page Number: 1
A quick video clip overview of the state of the Star Wars construction today.
A wide look from the 5th floor of the structure.
A closer look. Looks like they are installing more i-beams for the retaining walls and rock work.
  • Page Number: 2
The backstage marina is taking shape in the center of the site.
A pan across the site starting on the left/north side. The mound of dirt continues to evolve.
Portable office trailers have been brought in near the mound. In the distance work on the retaining wall continues.
  • Page Number: 3
In this picture you can see two entrance tunnels. One heading toward Fantasyland near the center then one on the right toward Frontierland.
Looks like they have scaffolding going up in the marina area so they can put the roof on it that the train will travel across.
  • Page Number: 4
As we pan further right there are forms for a wall that stretches most the way toward Critter Country along the Rivers of America.
  • Page Number: 5
In the area closest the structure looks like they are wrapping up the utility work and starting to move dirt around again.
The pit looks to be dug for the basement of one of the show buildings.
  • Page Number: 6
All the pipes and conduit have been installed or moved.
Grading and earth moving going on.
A closer look at the trailers on the far side of the site.
  • Page Number: 7
The far wall is continuing to take shape.
Equipment, forms and scaffolding waiting to be used.
  • Page Number: 8
A closer look at the Fantasyland tunnel/entrance. In the distance notice the retaining wall holding back the old skyway hill.
To the right a bit you can see the Frontierland tunnel and on the right side of the picture the marina area.
  • Page Number: 9
Looks like they have begun the rock work on the island side of the river. You can just barely make out scaffolding and mesh for the rocks.
  • Page Number: 10
A more clear view of the Fantasyland entrance.
  • Page Number: 11
Over toward Critter Country large i-beams waiting to be used. Wonder if those are for the train trestle, the look rather large for retaining walls over there.
A closer look at where the new walkway is starting to take shape.
  • Page Number: 12
A better view of the rock work.
  • Page Number: 13
In the distance the now nameless Tower of Terror. On the left notice the scaffolding taking shape. It will soon surround the Tower.
  • Page Number: 14
No real visible progress on the tram stop project. Saw some posts on the internet saying this is the initial preparations to redo the tram stop and make it a full gateway with security, etc.. no indication of that at this point though besides the new lane and hedge removal.
Most of the parking lot spaces that were blocked off are now open again.
  • Page Number: 15
    It is Halloween Party season.
Along the tramway they are swapping out the landscaping to be more drought resistant.
New plants waiting to go in.
  • Page Number: 16
Looking through the fence seems most of the utility work looks to be done. Guessing the road will take shape soon.
A sign letting you know they are working on the landscaping.
A lot of rocks have been brought in on both sides.
  • Page Number: 17
    Another plant staging area.
    The Halloween area is untouched.
  • Page Number: 18
  • Page Number: 19
  • Page Number: 20
Here you can get an idea of where they are heading with the look.
Fences up around the House of Blues. A permit was filed to demo the building.
    Park hours and closures today.
  • Page Number: 21
Plenty of signs warning of the party. Also note it is sold out, as are most of the nights I think.
    More closures for the party.
  • Page Number: 22
The canons have been removed and the ground leveled where they were.
Looks like they are being relocated to the planter nearby
  • Page Number: 23
Chip, Dale, Goofy and the Firehouse Band on the move.
Main Street USA this afternoon was calm.
The work has wrapped up on the Market House and Center Street.
  • Page Number: 24
    Same further down the block.
They are working on the curbs by the parade crossing right before the hub. This is the Tomorrowland side.
The other side is complete now.
  • Page Number: 25
Disneyland waits at 1:49pm were mild.
    Looking up river.
  • Page Number: 26
Looking toward Frontierland from the Pirates Bridge
No real visible progress on the Columbia
Work continues on the raft dock area.
  • Page Number: 27
That mass of guests on the left are in line for Jack and Sally.
Someone asked about pricing for the popcorn buckets. Zero is $17 this year.
Work continues on the facades near the New Orleans Train Station
  • Page Number: 28
Some plants for the season in the train station.
The renovation project on the island is moving along. Most of the scaffolding is down now.
  • Page Number: 29
    Looking toward the cave.
Approaching Critter Country. If this view comes out like the concept art this is going to be an impressive vista.
  • Page Number: 30
A look through the fence. They have started to create the new walkway path on the that will parallel the Hungry Bear then cut under the train tracks and out to Star Wars.
A look at the walls taking shape along the far bank of the River. The train will pass in front of the far wall.
  • Page Number: 31
Moving over to Frontierland. Here you can see under the bridge that will be the entrance. That dump truck is on the far side of the site. Looks like walls going up so will be interesting how much of the train you will be able to see or not see.
Looking through the fence utility work has wrapped up and they are starting to work on the wall along the Big Thunder Trail.
  • Page Number: 32
Wonder what this wall will look like. Looks like logs/wood shapes on the left.
    A wider picture.
  • Page Number: 33
Not a good picture.. but wanted to note the turn stiles and gate are gone from the Tiki Room entrance.
The area was too crowded to get a good picture.
  • Page Number: 34
    Sleeping Beauty Castle
Preparations for Small World Holiday are underway.
You can see the light strands showing up on the facade.

Some of the other items available.
  • Page Number: 38
Jedi Training info for the party tonight.
Not a good picture, but under the rocket are some barriers. Did not walk over to see but assuming some painting.
The walls are down from the Buzz entrance. Looks like they did some renovation work on the walkway.
  • Page Number: 39
Main Street USA. Flags seem to be at half staff way too often now a days unfortunately.
Over in DCA the arches for the Mad T Party have been removed.
The theater is preparing for a Doctor Strange preview
  • Page Number: 40
Too much glare/reflection but you can sort of see the sign.
Nothing really happening with the rigging from the T-Party and other events.
Noticed it looks like they just cut the cables to remove the equipment.
  • Page Number: 41
AP Days continue near Stage 12.
    Buttons..
A closer look at the button.
  • Page Number: 42

At Clarabelles on Buena Vista Street

Day guests had a hand full on the west/left side.
  • Page Number: 48
Inside the park party set up was in full swing.
As I stepped onto Main Street the National Anthem was just starting and the flags were being raised to the top then lowered.
  • Page Number: 49
The popcorn cart in the hub pauses for the ceremony.
    More party prep.
  • Page Number: 50
The Pearly Band found a spot in the shade to perform.
Hmm.. the Village Haus was closed already for Party Prep (it was 4:18pm only).
  • Page Number: 51
The Haunted Mansion photo op has been removed.
Churro Funnel cake at the Hungry Bear
  • Page Number: 52
Also note they now have Corn Dogs at the Hungry Bear. I do not get the Halloween tie in though.
While eating you could hear they were dumping dirt and compacting it, making the seating area of the Hungry Bear shake. Here is a look through the fence at the new walkway.
Moving a little to the right you can see the drop off for the river. Looks like the Disney Ducks will not be happy with Star Wars as they will be further from the food.. no more handouts from the Hungry Bear (or at least harder to reach the water).
  • Page Number: 53
    Next up the Haunted Mansion
  • Page Number: 54
The turn stiles at the exit of the Haunted Mansion are gone now too.

Lights were being turned on at 6:30ish.
  • Page Number: 56
7:00pm and the party was just kicking off. My queue to leave.
  • Page Number: 57
The projections were not on as I made my way toward Town Square.
They came on just as I reached the end of the block.
  • Page Number: 58
  • Page Number: 59
DCA was very crowded thanks to Disneyland now being closed to day guests. This is the end of the line for Smoke Jumpers. (Restroom lines were also out the door)
The Little Mermaid has reopened (it was closed for renovation and was closed earlier in the day too).
The line for Boardwalk Pizza & Pasta was out the door and down the walkway. I am at the end of it. Cast members were at the exits to guide you to the line. It looked worse than it was. It was under 15 minutes from this point until we were seated and eating.
  • Page Number: 60
Paradise Pier was very crowded. The standby area for World of Color was moved out and marked by tape. But with the near gridlock in the walkways it was a mess to walk through.
I used a FastPass someone picked up for me earlier in the day. 5 minutes until World of Color.
  • Page Number: 61
I was in the blue section just behind the dessert party guests. That area looked full.
Show time. The classic/original World of Color show has returned - minus the Brave segment.

    The projections looked great tonight.

A fall hidden Mickey on the walkway...
  • Page Number: 66
As I was walking back to my car I noticed crews were still working in the Star Wars area. There were several lights on and equipment in motion.
