    Speaking of the half marathon.. next stop the Expo. I walked over to the Disneyland Hotel. That meant I missed the Halloween decorations along the tram way, they are the same as last year, saw them on the way back but it was too dark for pictures. Also noticed what looked like several trees were cut down along the tramway.

    The finish line for this mornings 5K race.
    It had a Country Bear theme this year. Found it funny that the clocks were still running. All runners finished hours ago.

    Halloween is front and center.
    The Expo was held in the Convention Center as usual.

    Was going to check out the merchandise but the line was long so decided to walk around first.

    They were cleaning up from a Navy Band performance. Wish it would have been promoted somewhere I would have stopped by.

    In the Lego store the Cinderella Castle set is on display. It sells for $350.

    They had plenty behind the register to purchase.

    Many locations in Downtown Disney open at 4:00am for the races this weekend.
    Caught the a cappella group, Vocal Trip performing
    No visible progress on the former House of Blues site.

    Nor on the Quicksilver location, I saw reporting part of it will become a Sprinkles cupcake location.
    The security lines stretch a long way, it was 3:20pm. I waited a few minutes and nothing was moving so I walked out to the Monorail.
    The walkway in front of Naples is now blocked off and is outdoor seating.

    Unfortunately it was a two monorail wait.. so was not in the park until around 3:45. So I probably did not save any time but it felt better than waiting in that slow moving line.

    Behind the fence utility work continues. It seems to be going slower than other areas. Wonder if that is because it has to connect to the existing system or just my perception...

    The Columbia is still in the harbor looking the same as last week. I did notice the back railing is gone too.

    Haunted Mansion Holiday opens next Friday. Exterior decorations are being wrapped up.

    In a few years this will be the new entrance with a ramp coming down from the bridge that will span Harbor Blvd.
    They were using ART buses for the convention center shuttle.

    This is the Carousel Inn property Disney owns that will be closing down in October and removed to make way for the new corridor linking the parks to the near eastern gateway that is being constructed behind this property.
