  • Page Number: 1
A quick video look at the Star Wars Construction site from the Mickey and Friends Parking Structure.
    An overview of the site
Starting on the left (north) side. The mound of dirt continues to shrink as the dirt is re-used elsewhere on the site.
  • Page Number: 2
Closer to Fantasyland the retaining wall is slowly taking shape with more wood being inserted between the steel i-beams.
Dirt is being back filled against the large wall that was built.
In the distance notice trucks working on the old Skyway hill. In the center of the site it looks like a maze of walls right now as the retaining walls, Fantasmic marina, and river all continue to take shape.
  • Page Number: 3
More rebar popping up along the river.
More pipes for utility work being delivered.
  • Page Number: 4
A look at the nearer area.
The area closest to the structure is still a staging are for the utility work.
But beyond it they have started to excavate what appears to be the first show building.
  • Page Number: 5
A closer look at the retaining wall in the distance.
    Moving to the right.
  • Page Number: 6
In the distance you can see they have moved in more dirt to fill in against that retaining wall too.
In the center of the site the tunnel which I am assuming is one of the entrance walkways.
  • Page Number: 7
This series of retaining walls is for the river and Fantasmic Marina I think.
  • Page Number: 8
No visible change out on the island this trip.
The rebar marks the path of the river.
  • Page Number: 9
Another look at the excavation work.
Nearer the fenceline utility work is continuing with more pipes going in.
  • Page Number: 10
Here you can see the retaining wall taking shape nearest Toontown.
Looking toward Critter Country. I believe that pile of ruble is the former steps and ramp to the lower level of the Hungry Bear. I am assuming it is being rebuilt to accommodate the new pathway to Star Wars Land.
A closer look. It is hard to tell but it looks like the Canoe dock may be getting re-configured too.
  • Page Number: 11
Through the trees is the right of way for the Disneyland Railroad.
  • Page Number: 12
  • Page Number: 13
A crane further down toward Critter Country. Assuming it is being used to place pipes.
  • Page Number: 14
One last look at what will become the Rivers of America.
From the tram you can see a lot of pipe work still going on.
A horse drawn carriage passed our tram.

Made with Magic still has a large window. Guessing this will get swapped out when the 60th windows are changed.
2016 merchandise dominates the park facing entrance to World of Disney. There is some 60th merchandise but it is dwindling.
    Closures for today.

The west (right as you look from Town Square) half of the street is walled off as they do some renovation work.

  • Page Number: 26
Work continues on the Market House
One portion of the tarp was missing.
This allowed a view in. Was curious if this was to allow for Disneyland Forever projections or if there was some other problem.
  • Page Number: 27

    More equipment/supplies on the dock.
  • Page Number: 34
The scaffolding is down from around the tree house on the hill.

A better angle to see what has been removed.
Scaffolding still up around the play area on the island.
  • Page Number: 39
Walls now extend all the way to the Hungry Bear ramp. You cannot access the lower level from this area.
    A look through the fence.
  • Page Number: 40
The re bar is for the new retaining wall for the river I think. Or it may have to do with the trestle structure for the train.
  • Page Number: 41
No visible indication yet of how far out the new walkway will come.
Signs by the entrance to the Hungry Bear indicating they are open as well as the restrooms.
  • Page Number: 42
You now enter using a temporary walkway the is over the small stream area. You enter to the right of the Winnie the Pooh entrance.
    This is looking back
  • Page Number: 43
The old entrance/walkway is walled off.
Speaking of walls a short one has been erected to block off the far patio of the upper level of the Hungry Bear.
  • Page Number: 44
Looking down at a portion of the walkway. Here you can see how to comes off of the side near the Pooh entrance.
Looking back at the walls and construction beyond from near the Splash Mountain queue.
The Columbia masts look awkward sticking over the trees.
  • Page Number: 45
The Bootstrappers were out performing so stopped to listen.
They inspired me to visit Pirates (plus a posted 5 minutes wait).
They were not loading the back row of any of the boats. (FYI it took about 8 minutes from when I took the wait time picture to this one)
  • Page Number: 46

  • Page Number: 54
Looking up at the former Skyway site. Can you see the work going on?
One piece of equipment was out, but the trees did a good job of hiding it.
Moving on to Toontown Station. The scaffolding looks to be coming down.
  • Page Number: 55
The sign is out for some work.
The painting of the building looks done.
Some letters missing on the Tickets sign in the middle...

Stopped by the Disneyland Flag Retreat and this evening they were honoring members of the 9th & 10th Calvary, the Buffalo Soldiers, who are celebrating their 150th anniversary this year. Several members were on hand as well as other veterans for the ceremony.

Not even temporary signs saying nothing going on.. just plain white and visible wires.
Wonder if they will ever repaint Stage 17 or put another sign up to hide it.. another example of bad show.
