Starting off my visit walking across a nearly empty Pinocchio lot on my way to Downtown Disney.
Today and tomorrow there is a Million Dollar Arm Pitching Contest in Downtown Disney.
They were just getting started as I walked by.
  • Page Number: 2
  • Page Number: 3
There were four areas being set up to pitch in.
  • Page Number: 4
    A flyer about the event.
  • Page Number: 5
  • Page Number: 6
I took the Monorail into the park. No real line at the Ticket booths.
    The Esplanade looked calm too.
  • Page Number: 7
No real visible progress on the subs.
Over at Alice looks like the track layout is staying the same. The wood appeared to be giving a rough idea of where the new extensions/walkways will go out to.
  • Page Number: 8
A check of the subs looks about the same as last visit.
  • Page Number: 9
Space Mountain looks the same too.
Random quiet area picture as I strolled by.
  • Page Number: 10
Small World is closed again as work continues on the safety retrofitting inside.
Oops.. showed up just as Magical Map was letting out.
    Alice from ground level.
  • Page Number: 11
Here you can see the new metal supports for the extension that are being installed.
  • Page Number: 12
Stopped by the Big Thunder Ranch. The Springtime Roundup has lost its Easter decorations and most of the bunnies.
  • Page Number: 13
Brer Rabbit was out for pictures.
An orchestra performing. The area was fairly quiet and the orchestra was playing some slow music even. Not much energy in the Jamboree area during my visit.
Plenty of Photopass photographers on hand. But only two characters out and not many guests.
  • Page Number: 14
    Thumper was too.
Cookie decorating kits were still available.. but egg decorating and arts and crafts were gone.
Baloo making his way out for pictures.
  • Page Number: 15
Mickey also arrived as the two rabbits left.
Most of the photo areas were empty during my short time in the area.
The school of fish kept swimming away from the ducks..
  • Page Number: 16
Another Nikon picture spot. Do not think I took a picture of this one yet.
Big Thunder was down and there were a lot of guests in the area.
  • Page Number: 17
Pirates was a 40 min wait this afternoon.
Working on the roof tops of New Orleans Square. Guessing its fall protection work but maybe something to do with Club 33 work.
  • Page Number: 18
Some random Haunted Mansion merchandise as I walked by the cart.
This candlestick plus the hourglass in the next picture were bundled for $59.95 plus tax.
  • Page Number: 19
I do not know what it is but tape arrows seem to bug me. Cannot believe there is a better solution. This is to help the flow of guests visiting the kiosk for DAS pass.
Walked through New Orleans Square.. not much is different looks about the same as it has for months with scaffolding and tarps up throughout.

  • Page Number: 21
Decided to walk through the Treehouse.
    Adventureland from above.
    Rivers of America river front.
  • Page Number: 22
From the treehouse you can see the roof work slightly better.
Some new merchandise in the Adventureland Bazzar that is at least land specific (but not park specific.. meaning WDW & Disneyland).
  • Page Number: 23
  • Page Number: 24
    Salt and Pepper shakers
  • Page Number: 25
  • Page Number: 26
    The wait times around 3:00pm
Stopped by the Disney Gallery on Main Street.
  • Page Number: 27
A new check is available in the Disneyana store. The IRS one sold and now its a campaign contribution.
A closer look it is $3,500 for a senate run by George Murphy in 1964. Note he did win race and was a one term senator from California. Before that he was an actor and president of the screen actors guild.
  • Page Number: 28
Next made my way over to DCA. The waits around 3:25pm
A Maleficent sneak peak has taken over the bugs theater.
A thought this was funny. The inspired by the movie is in relation to Bugsland but can also be applied to the sneak peek.
  • Page Number: 29
Interesting they removed the entrance sign for Tough to Be a Bug instead of just covering it.
    The Maleficent sign.
    A warning about the show.
  • Page Number: 30
The queue looked bright to me, has it been worked on recently or just my eyes...
Nothing too interesting to note inside.
The bug movie posters are gone. Nothing for Maleficent though.
  • Page Number: 31
Inside the new projector was really clear and the film looked great. Still not sure I want to see it, but the quality was impressive.
  • Page Number: 32
Work continues on the Wharf buildings.
At Ghirardelli they were passing out free samples of the minis. For comparison the new on the left and traditional squares on the right.
A 50 count bag of the minis was $20.
  • Page Number: 33
    Passed through Cars Land.
Lightning rolled by on Cross Street on his way to the Cozy Cone.
  • Page Number: 34
    Sunset Blvd this afternoon.
Setting up for the MadTParty this evening.
Grizzly River Run was closed for renovations.
  • Page Number: 35
Seems odd they did not do this during the cold months and instead are doing it now leading into summer.
  • Page Number: 36
Redwood Creek has finally reopened. Well most of it has reopened.
It appears to be about the same, no major changes. Just some new paint, railings, and nets from what I could tell.
  • Page Number: 37
I said most has reopened because the upper areas, the net walkways were all closed off still.
They looked ready to go though.
  • Page Number: 38
Fresh paint on the railings, everything looked bright and new again.
Surprised to see painters tap still out. Looks like they missed it on clean up.
The overlook/outpost was open if you wanted to go up there.
  • Page Number: 39
The Pixar Play Parade was passing by as I arrived at Paradise Pier.
  • Page Number: 40
After the parade the usual mob of guests trying to cross paths.
More of the scaffolding is down on the Wharf buildings.
Preparing for World of Color on Paradise Bay as some darker clouds pass by overhead.
  • Page Number: 41
Still working on the one shade/queue/character area.
Noticed the Lemonade stand by the Zephyr was back (it may be been for weeks and I just did not notice it).
They were testing the World of Color fountains. Speaking of which does anyone know if the 9:45pm show went ahead or was it cancelled because of rain?
  • Page Number: 42
Another look at the Wharf work.
  • Page Number: 43
Stopped by Off the Page and thought this was an interesting item.
The Mad T Party Band was on the stage as I walked by.
  • Page Number: 44
    Random Racers picture.
Unfortunately missed the cactus blooms this year.
Goofy was with 5 & Dime as I passed through Carthay Circle.
  • Page Number: 45
Passed by the Mad T Party again.
The Maleficent sign lights were on.
  • Page Number: 46
    Fillmores
    Ornament Valley
  • Page Number: 47
Thought this shot came out well considering its free hand and no processing.
Stopped back by to see the sign after dark.
  • Page Number: 48
Maters Junk Yard Jamboree was a near walk on this evening.
Several groups of students outside the Hyperion assembling for something.
  • Page Number: 49
Walked through Atwater Ink & Paint and spotted a more trashcan salt and pepper shakers.
    Tomorrowland
    Fantasyland
  • Page Number: 50
Frontierland.. very obvious its WDW and not Disneyland since there is no Frontierland Railroad Station here.
    The waits at 8:46pm
  • Page Number: 51
    Stopped for Fantasmic!
Oops the dragons fire/breadth did not ignite tonight.
  • Page Number: 52
    But the river did.
My evening ended with Fantasmic. Remember was cancelled and it started to rain as I reached Main Street.
