  • Page Number: 1
A small kiosk by the Mickey and Friends Tram stop with Cast Members to answer questions.
Muppets Most Wanted banners around the AMC in Downtown Disney.
  • Page Number: 2
The Cupcake Kiosk is behind barriers.
Taking the Monorail into the park. This view was always messy but now with all the extra railings it is even more awkward.
  • Page Number: 3
A look into the drained sub lagoon.
Preparations for the work to get underway as some platforms/scaffolding are up.
  • Page Number: 4
  • Page Number: 5
In the distance you can see another platform/scaffolding near the cave entrance.
Over at Space Mountain there were several workers on the outside of the building. A couple working on the new structure on the top.
  • Page Number: 6
    Sleeping Beauty Castle
  • Page Number: 7
Some random plants in Pixie Hollow as I walked by.
Another Sleeping Beauty Castle picture, this time with the swan topiaries.
Looks like the work on Alice has been pushed. The attraction is still open and the temporary rails are still there.. temporary being used lightly in this case because they have been there so long now.
  • Page Number: 8
Small World remains closed while work goes on inside.
Was surprised by the posted wait for Merida. With Small World closed and Magical Map going on as I walked by for her to have a 45 min wait seemed long.
  • Page Number: 9
Toontown had a fair number of guests moving about.
The park was closed this afternoon.
  • Page Number: 10
Wonder if they painted inside? Looks bright/clean potentially.
The old skyway station is still up in the trees so rumors of its demise so far have proven untrue.
Big Thunder had trains circling once again and I saw several posting they have begun limited Cast Member testing.
  • Page Number: 11
This afternoon all the trains I saw were empty though (no water weights even).
Took a quick look into the Jamboree area.
It was mellow as the norm. Just two sets of characters out and maybe a handful of guests in line at each.
  • Page Number: 12
From the Mark Twain you could see several workers/cast members at the station watching the trains cycle through.
  • Page Number: 13
  • Page Number: 14
So far this year there seems to be no real off season. The park had a healthy crowd on Friday.
    More painting?
Work continues on the Club 33 expansion.
  • Page Number: 15
No real visible progress on Splash Mountain.
This was interesting. A cast member taking orders for Dole Whips as guests stood in line as they look to speed up the waits. I have seen this at the corn dog wagon too from time to time. Do not remember seeing it here before though.

    The waits around 2:20pm
Still working on this door on Main Street.
The Tiki Room display is gone from the gallery. Saturday a new steampunk inspired one opens.
  • Page Number: 17
The main gallery area in the Opera House lobby was behind a curtain and you could hear them working behind it installing the exhibit. But the small display with the benches to the left in this pic gave a preview.
Inside several props/items from the Disney Channel movie Girl vs Monster.

Next up DCA.. first stop Buena Vista Street
  • Page Number: 20
    DCA waits around 2:50pm
The Racers were down. So Ornament Valley was quiet.
  • Page Number: 21
Out to Paradise Pier. Noticed the WoC fountains were down between Instant Concerts. Nice to see clean views of the bay.
There were a lot of guests on the Pier. Guessing since the Racers were down. This mass was near Screamin
I think the sign was wrong. It said only a 15 min standby wait.
  • Page Number: 22
The Lemonade stand near the Zephyr is still gone.
This projection housing for WoC has been broken/not closing properly for quite a while now.
Hmm.. guess it was crowded earlier.. the extended queue for Little Mermaid was set up. Or is this preparation for later?
  • Page Number: 23
The fountains were brought up for the next Instant Concert
    Grizzly Peak
The key... a key... passing through the Mad T Party area.
  • Page Number: 24
Aladdin has returned to the Hyperion.
    Waiting for Aladdin...
  • Page Number: 25
Had to hike up to the balcony. The other two sections were full already when I arrived.
    My view.
  • Page Number: 26
Show time... the next several pages are some random pictures from the show..

Passed through the Mad T Party.
Returning to Disneyland made a pass through the Gallery to see if maybe they were doing a soft opening of the gallery.. no luck.
  • Page Number: 39
The Tomorrowland Terrace was closed this evening.
  • Page Number: 40
Caught some of Soundsational from the Small World mall area.
I thought this was amazing.. this guest was standing in front with his child on his shoulders and he was on the phone. Then between floats he kept walking out into the parade route. I could not believe a cast member did not go and talk to him at any point. He did this several times.
  • Page Number: 41
Elvis, Scot Bruce, was at the Tomorrowland Terrace (no food but good entertainment tonight). FYI - Saturday the Beatles Tribute Band A Hard Days Night is on the schedule.
Walked through Innoventions. You cannot see much in the soon to open Captain America area. Wonder how many more Marvel additions before Innoventions gets a new name?
Passing by Sleeping Beauty Castle (for some reason the Castle and Ornament Valley seem to demand a picture almost every time I walk by).
  • Page Number: 42
Watched Remember from the Pirates Bridge. Most of the show was obscured thanks to the large trees.. but I was there for Fantasmic so it did not bother me. The lasers during the Star Tours segment looked great.
Time for Fantasmic. There was a problem with one of the new fountains so two of the new heads were off in the center.
  • Page Number: 43
The side fountains were all on.
  • Page Number: 44
If you want to see video of the opening check out my update from last week or our YouTube channel.
This week the water screens worked.

All the yellow are Cast Member flashlights to guide the exiting crowd out.
A quick look at the line board as I exited around 9:20pm
  • Page Number: 53
A good crowd on Main Street
The clock is back this week.
    Another information kiosk.
  • Page Number: 54
The fountain in front of La Brea Bakery is behind walls for some work.
Starbucks is moving along. The sign is up this week.
