    Walking into the Disneyland Resort from Harbor Blvd this afternoon.
    A directory of where all the shuttle buses stop (not sure I have taken a picture of this since I do not enter this way that often).
    The information booth was open and featured Disney Vacation Club info.

    A media platform is set up in the middle of the Esplanade.
    First stop today, DCA.
    Buena Vista Street is decked out for Memorial Day Weekend.

    I walked through the Park to the Grand California where I had to go to check in.
    One of the many signs to point the way.

    After checking in there were some snacks for us.. cookies to mark event.

    Next up headed over to Disneyland. Signs warning guests of the early closing due to the event.

    Plenty of signs up, so if you did not notice it was your fault.. they were outside the park as well as inside in various locations.
    Main Street USA is also decked out for the holiday weekend.

    A photo backdrop in Fantasyland for this evenings reception.
    Even though this area was to close in less than 10 minutes there were a lot of guests, but a small army of Cast Members were moving in to start to clear the Fantasyland.

    This weekend is Opa! A Celebration of Greece. Small World Mall is decked out for the event.

    Only a couple more hours till showtime!
    Noticed the old Princess Walk props were out (later learned this was the backdrop for the DJ).

    If you look up as your roam around the parks you will see safety lines and barriers on several rooftops. Here you can just barely see one on the Golden Horseshoe (I did not have time to go for a Mark Twain ride to get a better picture)
    Scaffolding going up on the Big Thunder load/unload building.
    From ground level could not really see much else.

    The Golden Horseshoe was the media center for the event.
    Thought it was interesting they placed plants on the steps.
    If you were curious what a media center is, it is a location to get information, make arrangements, work on computers or in edit bays, and prepare for the events. Here is a look (cannot really tell much from the picture though).

    A candy display on the bar of the Golden Horseshoe
    Made my way back to DCA. The windows of Buena Vista Street received some Red, White, and Blue.

    Still working on the sun shades for the Carthy Circle.

    90 minutes for the Racers this afternoon.
    Luckily we had a Fastpass so it was only a 5 minute wait for us.

    While taking pictures noticed this key in the dirt.. did someone contribute a prop or really loose a key?
    The sun shades on the Carthay facing the line board area (guess that would be the West side) were up.

    Made another pass by the Monsters University area, no one was out.

    I kept crossing paths with the News Boys.

    Over at Disneyland caught the tale end of the Flag Retreat.
    The porch walls are down on Main Street.
    Sleeping Beauty Castle (notice the center walkway has a curtain and you cannot see into Fantasyland).

    An odd sight.. no guests as far as you can see into Fantasyland. Just a couple cast members making final preparations.
    Seated and ready to go for the Premiere of Mickey and the Magical Map.

    Michael Colglazier, the president of the Disneyland Resort took the stage for the introduction.

    The second half of the show we tried a different camera, slightly better video but the audio was a bit muted.
    Under the Sea from the Little Mermaid was next up.

    After the show the Disneyland trumpet players took the stage to announce the start of the reception.

    After the show there was a question and answer session with Kevin Eld (left) Head of WDI Creative Entertainment and Michael Jung, Theatrical Development from WDI.
    A look back at the new control booth, the theater now seats approx 1,800 guests.

    Circled back to catch Beauty and the Beast in the Royal Theatre since several in the group had not seen it.

    Most of the Fantayland attractions were open.. so had to go for a flight on Peter Pan.
