First stop Innoventions to pick up a wristband for the Annual Passholder event this evening to preview the Iron Man Tech exhibit in Innoventions.
The line for wristbands stretch out the front of Innoventions.
Then went up and wrapped around on the first floor.
  • Page Number: 4
They were using one of the pods to scan your pass, give you a wristband, and an Iron Man 3 poster.
    The line..
Timing is everything though. After the initial rush, which I was at the tail end of, the line had dwindled and was not even visible heading up to the area.
  • Page Number: 5
The subs were all in port and closed. The line board said closed for refurbishment. No real indication of what was going on and no work walls up.
The painting project has resumed on the Small World Mall light towers.
  • Page Number: 6

You can see some of the new track now.

Interesting only one gate open today.
Plenty of signage for the event.

Inside the Jamboree there were five backdrops set up, each with their own queue and set of characters.
The queues were marked off with tape on the ground.

    Goofy on Main Street USA
  • Page Number: 13
Why are the lights on the Main Street Train Station on a perfect afternoon at 2:10pm?
Over to DCA and Buena Vista Street. The changes continue to the windows. Los Feliz now has lost all the original props. Gone are the great books and classic baseball props and instead shelves of merchandise.
I stop by later when the glare is not so bad for more pictures.
  • Page Number: 14
The Red Car News Boys riding the Red Car after their performance.
At least the new window displays are not as bad as what they did to Big Top Toys.
    Random pop corn bucket picture.
  • Page Number: 15

Noticed Woody out under the swings for pictures (bottom left of this picture).
My attempt at a spring picture.
  • Page Number: 20
No wait at all to board the Little Mermaid so went for a trip under the sea.

A wider shot so you can see how the four stations on this side are lined up along the perimeter and then the mass of people are in line on the left.
  • Page Number: 36
To close out the day I thought they may do something interesting. The host re-appeared on stage.
  • Page Number: 37
Unfortunately no such luck.. it was a simple goodbye then characters left.
Since the area was closed now guests left quickly. Which meant I could get some pictures of the backdrops now.

One last look now that the area is cleared of most guests.
The scaffolding is down from the facade near Alice in Wonderland. Looks like just some painting.

  • Page Number: 46
Meanwhile the longest line I can remember seeing for Innoventions had started with Annual Passholders waiting to see the new Iron Man Tech exhibit.
  • Page Number: 47
Time to get in line myself.
    The line stretched into Tomorrowland.
It went up the ramp and then on the second floor went to the end and wrapped back on itself.
  • Page Number: 48
The rest of Tomorrowland looked rather peaceful.
Space Mountain had a posted 25 minute wait only. So Innoventions was longer.
    Killing time waiting in line..
  • Page Number: 49
Almost to the doorway where they were scanning passes.
Made it inside (it was 6:44.. I entered the line at 5:47 and the preview started at 6:00).

This is what happens when you show up 5 minutes before the show and do not pay attention to where you are... Oops.
    Some random Fantasmic pictures now.
  • Page Number: 75
Too bad this is over exposed.. but almost looks like Mickey is leaping away from the explosion.
  • Page Number: 76
Since there is no Mark Twain the characters are on the main stage.
  • Page Number: 77
    There is that light again...
