    Some work going on in the Mickey and Friends Structure, this is on the Daisy Level.
    Annual Pass Holiday Ads at the Ticket Booths.
    The new planter are on the west side of the DCA entrance.

    Looking across the Esplanade no rush to enter Disneyland this morning.
    We were heading to DCA though.
    A Red Car ready to start the day on Buena Vista Street.

    Could not remember if I posted a picture of the tree in the Elysian Arcade, but unfortunately the doors were locked (it was before 8am and park opening still).
    First stop after picking up some Fastpasses for the Racers was Cars Land.
    And first attraction, the Flying Tires.

    Some random pictures from the queue. Total time in line was just under half an hour.

    Noticed they have put the un-used spin control handles back on, the tire stem does make it look a little more complete.
    A closer look. They are not functional in any way though. It is too bad that feature did not work as planned. Maybe someday they will find a solution.

    While waiting noticed the turn ground where the tractors whip around is showing some wear already.

    This happened several weeks/months ago but I have not ridden since they added the extra padding on the sides.
    Walked through Flos and saw the gingerbread Mater.

    The Racers were not racing yet this morning.
    Out on the Pier Donald was greeting guests near the Christmas tree.

    Paid a visit to Toy Story Midway Mania (about a half hour wait).
    Had an ok score for riding by myself, best in the the vehicle but still no where near the high scores.
    Walked by the shops and all looks the same as it has.

    Next up stopped by a reception in Hollywood Land. A nice selection of treats were available.

    There were also some games, face painting, and tattoo tables set up.
    Donald and Daisy were available for pictures.

    I had not noticed the Santa sign under Elias & Co.. it has been there but it actually stood out to me this time by.

    Back to Cars Land. Some new signs on the ropes in Flos.
    Time for the Racers.. I think this is only my second Fastpass for the attraction. Since I arrive so late in the day usually they are long gone.

    The trees are showing some brown, not sure if it is the weather, stress, or what. Hopefully they pull through unlike those at GRR.

    We stopped for a minute right before entering Luigis. So here is a picture of the neon signs inside.

    Noticed what appeared to be a lot of rubber on the track now.

    Did not catch it last trip, but the Fastpass sign has been changed to say Parts N Stuff. Great to see it back and updated.
    Route 66 was alive with activity as usual.
    Looked like Flos sign has been repaired.

    Still advertising Magical.
    Main Street is ready for the Candlelight season to begin. Should be interesting how it works running for 20 nights vs 2.

    Note due to the Candelight accessing the Main Street station is a challenge and the train stops running around 4pm for the evening.

    They had a small glitch in the show. They could not find the sing a long cards.

    The skies cleared up slightly this afternoon. Actually spotted a little blue up there.

    The Goofy Water is still being worked on.

    A cruise through Small World Holiday was next on the agenda.
    One hula dancer short today.

    Timing is everything... first picture the dancers had their backs to me.
    So I tried again.. and this time the reindeer turned to avoid me.

    There was a problem with Santas float so he was traveling by fire truck this parade.

    Spotted some Cadlelight merchandise. Here are the sweatshirts and t-shirts.

    A closer shot of the Racers track as I mentioned earlier there was a lot of what appears to be rubber on the track.
    The racers were not racing at this moment.

    Showtime. This time almost everything worked as planned unlike last trip.
    During the lighting Flos has red and green lights on.
    Afterwards it returns to normal. Too bad, I thought the red and green were a nice touch.

    On my way to Disneyland caught the Buena Vista Street Tree Lighting (pictures and video in a previous update if you missed it).
    Waiting for the first Candlelight Ceremony of the season to kick off.

    For those not familiar with the event, the human Christmas tree is the Disney Cast Member choir. Made up of volunteers from the all around Southern California.

    The guest narrator this evening was Dennis Haysbert (he was in the Unit as well as AllState Commercials).

    A couple video clips from the ceremony including some of the narration, What Child is This and Silent Night. Note this was shot free hand with my DSLR camera so the zooming and panning are no where near smooth!
    Unfortunately he did not look up that often while reading so all my pictures look like this more or less.
    The Voices of Liberty are part of the show this year.

    Cast Members were busy stacking the chairs from the Candlelight and clearing the street.
