This page is to help you quickly jump through this picture set. Below you will see a listing of the pages and the captions on that page.

  • Page Number: 1
There is a new sign at the exit ramp on the Mickey and Friends Garage (assuming these were up last week but I was not parked in the garage so did not see them).
    New Tram stop billboards.
  • Page Number: 2
    The Downtown Disney Banners.
  • Page Number: 3
There were several kiosks set up near the tram stop for stores in Downtown Disney. Here is the RideMakerZ one.
And next to it a Build a Bear.
  • Page Number: 4
No visible progress on the right side of the entrance where the old temporary one was.
    First stop today, DCA.
  • Page Number: 5
Buena Vista Street is decked out for the 4th of July holiday.
Oswalds did not receive anything for the holiday.
  • Page Number: 6
Signs along Buena Vista Street alerting you to commemorative merchandise... no more Cars Land CDs though which is something I wanted to buy.
  • Page Number: 7
  • Page Number: 8
Chip and Dale out for pictures in Carthay Circle.
Had a request for a wider shot of where the line board and new map are. So here it is.. the line board is on the left.
  • Page Number: 9
    The wait times around 12:50pm
Walked through the Wharf after grabbing a World of Color Fast Pass.
    Heading into Cars Land.
  • Page Number: 10
  • Page Number: 11
    The Racers were down.
Some random shots as I wandered around Cars Land this afternoon.
  • Page Number: 12
  • Page Number: 13
Everyone know this reference? If not Catmull refers to Ed Catmull who is the president of Walt Disney Animation Studios and Pixar Animation Studios.
  • Page Number: 14
Noticed some conduit in the middle of this planter. Wonder if a new sign for the Flying Tires is going in here.. or if its just for a light/speaker.
Red is still only doing meet and greets. No shows yet.
  • Page Number: 15
No real lines at the Cozy Cones. It was a steady stream of people but nothing like the previews. They have sold out of the cone cups, so wonder if that is making a difference.
Todays popcone flavors... note they will mix them if you want.
  • Page Number: 16
The cone cups are no longer on the menus. So guess that means it will be a while before they come back?
    A look around Fillmores
  • Page Number: 17
Well they tried to do something to the cart.. guess that is better than nothing.
  • Page Number: 18
Wonder why they still use the inspired by signage. It sort of made sense when they were separate companies but now?
Do not think I got a good picture of this part of the sign last week.
Speaking of signs thought it would be a good idea to take some closer pictures of several.
  • Page Number: 19
  • Page Number: 20
  • Page Number: 21
Can you spot the hidden Mickey in this picture?
  • Page Number: 22
    Here is a closer picture..
  • Page Number: 23
Moving on last week it did not register that they went with a low fence around the planter that divides Cars Land from the Wharf. Interesting.
Next stop stage 17 and Dancin with Disney
  • Page Number: 24
This time through the girls were out. They have two sets of characters. Last week I caught the Villains and this week the girls.
  • Page Number: 25
A video clip of Dancin with Disney.
  • Page Number: 26
  • Page Number: 27
Heading out of DCA.. still have to pause each time and really not used to it yet.
Noticed attraction posters on the ticket booths. Was told they were there last week, but did not register/remember them.
    Disneyland was pleasant this afternoon.
  • Page Number: 28
You cannot see a whole lot at the princess faire.
Stopped by the Matterhorn and since I do not ride coasters Laura from AllEars.net volunteered to take my video camera for a ride. So here is her video. She used the single rider line and was in the third seat of the first sled..
Next headed out to the Jamboree to check in on the Billies and their summer home.
  • Page Number: 29
Goofy was roaming around for pictures. Noticed only one character at a time out during my brief time in the Jamboree area. Not sure if it was timing or a tweak to the line up based on crowds.
The Billies took the stage. Their set was more or less what they did in the Golden Horseshoe.
  • Page Number: 30
A couple video clips of the Billies.
A wider shot to show the crowd. There were more guests in the area than I had seen the past few weeks, but felt lighter than the crowds I usually see in the Horseshoe.
  • Page Number: 31
  • Page Number: 32
Also noticed the coloring area is off on the side now.
The fences had been re-stained recently and gave off a strong smell.
One last wide shot (had to leave before the Billies finished because I had a good hike to make it over to Paradise Bay for Goofy.
  • Page Number: 33
As I was heading out noticed the Climbers hanging out on the Matterhorn.
    The waits around 3:20pm
The fountain was off in Carthay Circle. Maybe because of the upcoming parade and the wind?
  • Page Number: 34
    Waits around 3:30pm
Time for an Instant Concert... just add water.
As I mentioned last week there are three concerts. Last week I only caught one. So this week caught the other two.
  • Page Number: 35
This one was the 20th Century Music featuring Holiday of Strings.
  • Page Number: 36
  • Page Number: 37
Between concerts circled Paradise Pier. The game squad was out.
A couple new stands near the Corn Dog Castle. Much more substantial than the old ones.
  • Page Number: 38
  • Page Number: 39
The cart by the Swings has been redone too.
New frames on the billboards have been redone and look great!
Donald now takes pictures on the Pier where Captain Mickey used to be and Mickey has moved to Buena Vista Street.
  • Page Number: 40
The Candy store, Dulce Aventura, in the Pacific Wharf is all closed and the signage is gone. Had not noticed this but assuming it happened when Ghirardeli opened.
Walked through Cars Land since I still had time to kill.
  • Page Number: 41
A healthy line in front of the Coze Cones for a picture with Lightening.
Speaking of the Cozy Cones... here is what the popcone containers look like.
  • Page Number: 42
    And the popcone...
    More signs.. continuing that theme.
  • Page Number: 43
Time for the another Instant Concert. This one did not seem to have a name and was a medley of songs.
  • Page Number: 44
    Stopped by Ghirardelli.
  • Page Number: 45
A sign by the old First Aid station directing guests to the new location.
  • Page Number: 46
Random picture as I headed into Cars Land.
The Racers were running again. 150 minutes for Stand By and single rider was all dashes so guess it was full and closed.
Pulled up a chair at Flos and hung out for a while watching the crowd move around while waiting for DJs.
  • Page Number: 47
The oil cans stacked up around Flos
Moved to the intersection to await DJs arrival.
    Showtime. DJ rolls into town.
  • Page Number: 48
Here is a video of the full show, DJs Dance n Drive.
  • Page Number: 49
Here are a couple clips from the show shot with a wider lens.
  • Page Number: 50
DJ rolling out after his show.
    Walked by the Cozy Cone.
  • Page Number: 51
Notice the trash bins.. Carstodial 18 in this case. Each had its own number and plate.. great attention to detail!
No one at the petting zoo...
Time for the College Band Preparade over at Disneyland. If you want to see video I posted some from last week, check out that update or the youtube channel.
  • Page Number: 52
    The wait times around 6:20pm
    Back to DCA.

  • Page Number: 55
    Another gradnite tonight...
    The 7:16 College Band set.
  • Page Number: 56
Then back to Cars Land for the lighting of the Neon. This has been happening just after 8pm, but the time will shift as the days start to grow shorter.
The neon comes on just like in the film, with the music and all.

    A video of the event.
I walked around Cars Land taking some pictures after the lighting and before heading over to World of Color.

  • Page Number: 63
  • Page Number: 64
A 360 degree pan standing at the intersection of Cross Street and Route 66.
This is one of my favorite pictures of the night. Notice the reflection of Grizzly Peak.
  • Page Number: 65
Had some time to kill so snapped some random pictures on my way out of Cars Land.
The way the Imagineers have it built and lit it is hard to get a really bad shot.. they all seem to look great!
  • Page Number: 66
  • Page Number: 67
  • Page Number: 68
Found myself a spot for World of Color near the back of the Yellow section. I lined up behind someone with Glow with the Show Mouse Ears.
  • Page Number: 69
Unfortunately there were not that many sets in the audience this evening. If you excluded the cast members I really did not see that many at all. Look at this wide shot and you can just see a couple and I think many of them were CMs.
A couple pics from the Brave segment.
  • Page Number: 70
  • Page Number: 71
The new stands are very well light. No problem seeing the merchandise.
    The waits around 9:30pm
  • Page Number: 72
Magical was going on so experimented to see if there are any interesting angles from Buena Vista Street.
  • Page Number: 73
  • Page Number: 74
On the way out decided to try and get decent pictures of the windows of Buena Vista Street.
  • Page Number: 75

  • Page Number: 81
A couple pictures looking around the start of Buena Vista Street.. anyone know the name for this area?
  • Page Number: 82
I want to call it Town Square but it is not..
That wraps up this trip to the Disneyland Resort.
