  • Page Number: 1
The tram stop billboards have been swapped out.
There was a tram parked in front of them so not the best pictures but you can make out what they are now.
  • Page Number: 2
The Downtown Disney banners have also been swapped out.
  • Page Number: 3
A couple of day time shots of the La Brea Bakery work, no real visible progress.

The giant Memories sign is gone so the Esplanade is wide open again.
  • Page Number: 5
    Headed for DCA first.
Really fun to see how fast the visible progress is on Buena Vista Street. In a short week you can even see progress.
The picture does not really do it justice, but you can see the overhang for Oswalds in the foreground.
  • Page Number: 6
All traces of Christmas are gone.
The trail is closed for some routine work.
  • Page Number: 7
A repaving project going on between Little Mermaid and Paradise Park.
A narrow walkway in front of Mermaid.
And another one on the park side.
  • Page Number: 8
Work moving along on the rock face overlooking the Pier.
The Meet and Greet is back to Sailor Mickey.
A wide shot to show where the walls are for the paving project.
  • Page Number: 9
Not much visible progress on the shops.
They are repainting the rails along the Bay.
Time for a spin on the Fun Wheel. Here you get an idea of the walls by Mermaid. They are replacing the parade route concrete.
  • Page Number: 10
    A closer look.
Spotted a single backhoe in the area, not working during the day.
    Over to Cars Land.
  • Page Number: 11
The crane still working on the backside (I need to get ambitious and walk over there one of these trips).
  • Page Number: 12
The V8 sign for Flos is now up.
The base of the radiator cap is slowly being painted.
  • Page Number: 13
A closer look. It looks to be more brown this week.
This far rock face looks about the same still, just a couple stories of scaffolding left.
  • Page Number: 14
A Flying Tire test vehicle was in view.
The cones are having their exteriors applied.
  • Page Number: 15
A look down on the park, thanks to the great weather the fountain was on and a couple guests enjoying it.
No real visible changes pop out in this area of the Racers.
A closer look at the rock work.
  • Page Number: 16
Crews working on the perimeter fencing and landscaping for Maters
In the bottom of this shot you can see some of the structures in the queue for the Racers.
  • Page Number: 17
A couple interesting things to note in this shot.... besides that I goofed up and got a bar in the middle of it...
First of the Matterhorn is being encircled with scaffolding so it can be painted and worked on.
Secondly the sign on Soarin has a problem.. a portion of it is removed.
  • Page Number: 18
Just a random shot from a clear day on the Fun Wheel. The Carthay blends into the skyline nicely.
A closer look at the Carthay.
    A random Backlot shot.
  • Page Number: 19
The cows from the old farm area are still hanging out Backstage.
More of the recently painting railings.
  • Page Number: 20
The Christmas decorations are gone from here too.

The Dance Party making its way down the parade route.
It sets up right in front of the Zephyr
  • Page Number: 24
Noticed a light barely visible over the wall in the Wharf area.. I think its been there a while but cannot remember if I posted a picture..
    Sarges is awaiting its exterior.
The signage for Radiator Springs is starting to go in (the steel structure on the right in this shot).
  • Page Number: 25
    A closer look.
Not much progress on this facade.
A look down a fairly crowded Route 66 with construction equipment.
  • Page Number: 26
Flos Cafe neon sign is installed.
And looking great! I cannot wait to see this lit up at night.
  • Page Number: 27
Looks like the front of Sarges has gone on.
A good size mound of dirt in front of the court house. Guessing it is for all the landscaping.
Some workers over at Maters. No visible testing going on when I walked by.
  • Page Number: 28
A group of Imagineers and works on a site walk.
In the middle is Kathy Mangum who is Executive Producer & Vice President, Walt Disney Imagineering.
Moving down the parade route you get a great view of Buena Vista Street.
  • Page Number: 29
Mater and Lightening are out for photos near the water falls now.
  • Page Number: 30
Speaking of water the new fountain in the center of Buena Vista Street was on and cycling all afternoon and into the evening.
A closer look at some of the facade work.
A look down the east (right when facing the entrance) side of the street.
  • Page Number: 31
    The Elias and Co storefront.
A look up at the Carthay.
Appears to be a light mounted inside.
  • Page Number: 32
A look at the West side where the Zephyr used to be.
The old Candy store sign is really the only part of the old Sunshine Plaza to be recycled from what I could see.
  • Page Number: 33
    Another look at the fountain.
  • Page Number: 34
More finishing touches going in like windows and gutters.
Copper gutters now line the roof tops.
  • Page Number: 35
Some repainting of the Condor Flats entrance area. The old rusted look (upper fencing) is giving way to the newer/cleaner look (bottom fence)
Another section of the old fence is behind a barrier so guessing it is next to be painted.
  • Page Number: 36
The roof tiles spotted Saturday have been removed. Wonder if they were a test or were wrong?
The backside of the facade over the restrooms.
  • Page Number: 37
    Heading for Disneyland.
The Memories sign looks to have done some damage to the stones/brick work.
Still advertising Believe in Holiday Magic even though Remember is tonight.
  • Page Number: 38
The park is pretty much back to normal, all the Christmas decorations are put away till next year.
The Disneyana store is closed for some work.
And as I mentioned last time the west side from the Carnation Cafe to Coke Corner is closed.

They have only done a small portion so far.
A tunnel set up so scaffolding can be erected above the guest walkway.
  • Page Number: 42
Time for a ride on the Monorail to check out Buena Vista Street. Thanks to the setting sun the pictures are not the best but you can see the progress.
  • Page Number: 43
A nice clear shot of the new DCA entrance.
  • Page Number: 44
Heading around a second time. Looks like there may be a wall going up so you will not be able to see into the store from the Monorail. Guess they are leaving a display space?
Again the sun was in an awful spot.. but you can see the rail lines going in and how the street has taken shape.
  • Page Number: 45
A closer look (out of focus) but you can see the rail making the turn. Also where the curb has gone in.
  • Page Number: 46
A Honda tent/exhibit set up backstage for Cast Members.
Spotted a new bobsled on the track and uncovered. Here you can see how there are three individual seats per sled instead of the old configuration.
  • Page Number: 47
A couple more shots of the scaffolding.
  • Page Number: 48
    The tunnel being erected.
The Soundsational parade making its way down the parade route.

The Toontown Train Station is still underwraps and hard to see any progress.
  • Page Number: 50
Woody and Jessie out on the trail taking pictures.
A couple of Castmembers trying to drum up BBQ interest. It was quite empty now but later when I walked by there was an ok crowd inside.
  • Page Number: 51
It is the Winter Roundup right now.
The ranch is returning to normal. The reindeer have returned to the North Pole till November.
  • Page Number: 52
The park is also back to normal with all the three kings and other holiday overlays removed.
The Columbia is in dry dock for some work so that means the Mark Twain has the river to itself and no Fantasmic.
  • Page Number: 53
The Mansion is down to be transformed back to the regular show, but the merchandise cart is open.
The exterior of the Mansion is back to normal.
  • Page Number: 54
The entrance to Adventureland is being worked on too.
  • Page Number: 55
Add in the warm weather so the demand for Dole Whips from the Juice bar was fairly high and it was very crowded to get through this area.
  • Page Number: 56
Looks so peaceful from this distance...
  • Page Number: 57
I was a bit late for the flag retreat.
Just the Dapper Dans at the retreat today, no Disneyland Band.
  • Page Number: 58
No signs of work on the Fantasy Faire yet.
Surprised walls have not gone up for this work.
Small World Holiday runs through the 22nd.
  • Page Number: 59
  • Page Number: 60
A couple of close up looks at the new snow man.

Since Fantasmic is not running the Mark Twain is doing night time cruises.
The dessert menu at the Golden Horseshoe.
  • Page Number: 62
The Mark Twain rounding the river bend.
It is a little hard to make out but in the middle of the lower deck is the Piano. No one was playing this evening.
  • Page Number: 63
Back to Main Street. The bakery had a steady line each time I walked by.
    The wait times around 6:25pm
Soundsational has returned and thanks to it getting dark so early you can see a performance with the lights on for the next couple of months.
  • Page Number: 64
Some random shots from the parade.
  • Page Number: 65
Tink sporting her cold weather gear...
  • Page Number: 66
    Back to DCA...
  • Page Number: 67
Still taking pictures... the old ones shut down at dusk..
More of the red lights on the range.
    A closer look.
  • Page Number: 68
Speaking of lights the strands running to the tower of tires were on this evening.
Nothing else though.. just some work lights in the background.
  • Page Number: 69
Thanks to the parade route work they have tweaked the World of Color viewing area. A quick run down: The top tier is now a walkway. Red has disappeared and that area is now Yellow. The primary alternate viewing areas are a small taped area near the entrance to Paradise Park, the far/opposite side of the bridge, and a small area near the Zephyr.
Since it was Friday the 13th had to throw in a couple of Tower of Terror shots.
  • Page Number: 70
    Stopped to see Laserman.
  • Page Number: 71
Back to Cars in an attempt to get a better shot...
  • Page Number: 72
A look under the arch at the Wharf and into Cars Land.
  • Page Number: 73
This is a view from the alternate viewing area at the entrance to the park (across from Mermaid near the planter).
Also should note those going to Yellow for the second show were instructed to line up near the Jellyfish. This is the line...
A look from the Zephyr area.
  • Page Number: 74
The walkway on the top tier gives you a great view of the show if you keep moving.. if you stop cast members head your direction to try to avoid gridlock.
  • Page Number: 75
    Back to Disneyland for Remember.
Even with the Matterhorn work, Tinkerbell is still flying.
  • Page Number: 76
And the canon fight still goes on as usual.
Back at the garage no trams were in the way so a couple shots of the signs..
  • Page Number: 77
    The current park guide maps.
