As you exit the tram area across from La Brea Bakery they were setting up a merchandise kiosk to match those in the parks. Guess it is part of the plan to replace the lost revenue from having all the stores at DCAs entrance closed.
  • Page Number: 2
All the World of Color signage is gone from the security tents.
Heading into DCA. The walls were pushed back slightly to give more room as you enter. It is now straight all the way across right up to the new trees.
  • Page Number: 3
    Looking the other way.
A look at Duffys photo location.
Santa was out (hard to tell with the lighting).
  • Page Number: 4
A fair amount of guests roaming the Pier this morning (Toy Story was posted at 40 minutes).
From the Fun Wheel you can see they are moving right along with the concrete on the new rock face overlooking the Pier.
  • Page Number: 5
A small crowd assembling for the Disney Channel Rocks show.
Noticed some lines going to the tires. Guessing for lights.
  • Page Number: 6
More scaffolding is down on the far side.
More concrete at the Radiator Cap base.
  • Page Number: 7
More scaffolding down in this area too.
    A check in at Maters
The court house looks ready for paint.
  • Page Number: 8
They have placed rocks around the base.
The tire marks on the tracks are much more obvious now as they have been cycling the attraction.
The last section of the archway from the Wharf is being painted.
  • Page Number: 9
One of the cones has finally taken shape.
The others have not risen yet.
Looks like they tore up the area backstage along the back walls of Bugs.
  • Page Number: 10
The Carthay looks to be wraping up the painting.
    Another pass through Cars...
  • Page Number: 11
The Disney Channel Rocks show was starting as we went around, so some day shots of the fountains.
  • Page Number: 12
  • Page Number: 13
A wider shot of the Racers area.
  • Page Number: 14
A random shot of the show, it was still going on as I made my way around.
The windmill is up by Filmores
  • Page Number: 15
Is that the entrance sign taking shape for Maters?
    Not much visible progress here.
    A look down the street.
  • Page Number: 16
A better shot of the windmill
  • Page Number: 17
Looks like they have added some detail to the ride control stations for Maters.
    The shack is looking great.
  • Page Number: 18
  • Page Number: 19

  • Page Number: 24
  • Page Number: 25
  • Page Number: 26
I think the kids room off the lobby here is great with the beach chairs and sand castle. Surprised that almost every time I walk by it seems to be empty.
    Next stop the Disneyland Hotel.
  • Page Number: 27
The Frontier Lobby has a couple of trees.
This is my favorite lobby of the three...
  • Page Number: 28
The signage outside appears to be done.
The lawn area is done too, almost all the barriers and walls are now down around the hotel.
  • Page Number: 29
Looking back at the Frontier Tower
  • Page Number: 30
  • Page Number: 31
  • Page Number: 32
Some guests enjoying the pool, most seemed to be in the spa.. guess the warmer water was the draw.
  • Page Number: 33
Thought this was great, the back of the plate.
  • Page Number: 34
  • Page Number: 35
The photo location for Santa is ready to go.

  • Page Number: 40
  • Page Number: 41
No signage but Fantasia inspired Christmas trees.
  • Page Number: 42
New carpeting is in. Looks to be Small World/Mary Blair inspired with the shapes.
  • Page Number: 43
    The tree in this lobby.
Some artwork on the far wall.
  • Page Number: 44
  • Page Number: 45
    Looking back through the lobby.

    The Adventure Tower tree.
  • Page Number: 47
Next up some Monorail shots of Buena Vista Street.
A closer/enhanced view of the last photo.
  • Page Number: 48
  • Page Number: 49
The line for Small World wrapped around the terraced area.
Star Tours had a long wait as usual.
  • Page Number: 50
The sky was a perfect blue.. this afternoon.
So took the opportunity to get some Castle shots.
  • Page Number: 51
  • Page Number: 52
    Next stop a crowded Toontown.
Wanted to see if the new trees looked any better during the day. They did not to me...
  • Page Number: 53
The missing O is back in Toontown...
  • Page Number: 54
Donald hanging out by his boat.
The line for Minnie... you can just barely make her out in her doorway.. the line stretched down and wrapped on the side of the house too.
  • Page Number: 55
Someone Santa Mickey balloon floating away.
    Parade time.
  • Page Number: 56
Some random shots from the parade.

To escape the crowd ducked into Small World Holiday for a ride.

The figure on the left is still missing.
  • Page Number: 62
  • Page Number: 63
    Next stop the Reindeer Roundup.
  • Page Number: 64
With the sign gone you get an unobstructed view of Big Thunder.
And looking the other way the Cabin.
Definitely looks like it was cut down.
  • Page Number: 65
The extended queue was set up for Big Thunder, but the attraction was down so it was empty when I walked by.
  • Page Number: 66
    The wait times around 3:30pm
The Pirates line was long... here you can see it going off into the distance on the right.
  • Page Number: 67
    Strolled through Critter Country.

    The building looked great.
  • Page Number: 72
    A posted 50 min wait.
I opted to go watch the Billies.
Decided to try the balcony. The new rails were only somewhat annoying. More the look than placement.
  • Page Number: 73
  • Page Number: 74
A clip of All I Want for Christmas is My Two Front Teeth performed by the Billies.
    Walked through the hub.
  • Page Number: 75
  • Page Number: 76
The tree lighting moment. If you blinked you missed it especially since no audio was played in the hub.
  • Page Number: 77
Next up a ride on Pirates. The unload dock has been expanded a bit to help with traffic flow. A couple of shots that really do not do it justice.
  • Page Number: 78
Looks like some work still going on behind the waterfall. This is as you make the turn after the second drop.
I read that they redid the rock work in the cave sequence. Hard to tell with the lighting, etc.. it looked good but I could not make out any differences.
Some random shots as I went through the attraction.
  • Page Number: 79
There was a pop corn bucket that said Happy Holidays. The way it was laid out I think a CM did it.. probably a final day prank of some sort.
  • Page Number: 80
One noticeable change is now the projection screen alternates between Black Beard and Davy Jones
  • Page Number: 81
A video clip of the new screen as well as the exit lift.. it is really audio since the video is too dark to make out.
  • Page Number: 82
  • Page Number: 83
  • Page Number: 84
  • Page Number: 85
  • Page Number: 86
    Suburban Legends were in Tomorrowland.
  • Page Number: 87

  • Page Number: 89
Some random World of Color shots from the red section.
A snow flake projection on Screamin.

  • Page Number: 91
  • Page Number: 92
On the way out the new gift kiosk was open for business.
