    We start off the day at DCA. Noticed some divers out on the World of Color platform.

    Over at Cars Land more scaffolding coming down.

    Notice the new concrete to the far left at the base of the radiator cap and the holes where the scaffolding toothpicks used to be on the right.
    Looks like the scaffolding on the last section is starting to be taken down too.
    The foundations for the last two Cozy Cones look ready to go.

    It appears only support wires, no electrical going to them.

    A closer shot reveals they have run the electrical conduit and wires so the permanent ones must be going up soon.

    Under the tarps looks like the outter coat of the Carthay is on.
    A couple new (well guess a couple weeks old now but new to me) signs up on the construction walls for current shops.

    Over to Disneyland. The new Trains of Disney exhibit opened this past Saturday (pictures in several pages).
    The wires are up for the garland on Main Street (guessing it will go up overnight)
    Out to Small World for the lighting ceremony. A small stage was set up for the event.

    Marine Gunnery Sgt. Derrick Poteat and his family were selected as the honorary family to flip the switch. Here he is being interviewed by ABC 7.
    Show time. 2011 Disneyland Ambassador Jolie Hales was the MC for the event.

    Poteat, who enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1996, has completed three tours and recently returned from the latest, a seven-month deployment in the Middle East.
    Here he was joined by members of the 13th Marine Expeditionary Units family readiness team who were in attendance.

    After the ceremony the family and guests lined up to watch the Christmas Fantasy parade.
    Duffy leads off the parade. This marks the first running of the Christmas Fantasy parade this year.

    I stayed dry until the Pirates segment.. then got quite moist! (Not sure if the wind shifted, a weird fountain or something got away... all I know is a lot of water came in from my left all of a sudden so I got no pictures of the flames that I had wanted).
