  • Page Number: 1
No real visible change from ground level on the temporary entrance path.
Once in the park you are greeted with more walls. The area under the Golden Gate on either side is walled off and the one on the right go all the way around to Condor Flats.
  • Page Number: 2
It appears nothing has been done to the bridge since they removed the towers, or at least nothing noticeable to me.
    The Carthay is moving along.
The new wall that blocks off the Zephyr area. Also noticed they took the light and anything else that was worth saving off the train.
  • Page Number: 3
To the left the walls have been pushed out and extended all the way to the Disney Junior entrance while they work on the Red Car track in that area.
It appears they have removed the engine.
  • Page Number: 4
No other signs of progress from this angle.
Note they had both the Orange and Blue monorails running today.. first time in a long time I can remember seeing two in operation during my entire visit...
The walkway is quite narrow, wonder how this is after World of Color??
  • Page Number: 5
The sign has been repainted and not rotates again. So I guess it is sticking around since they spent the time and money to fix and paint it.
  • Page Number: 6
The walls extend around to the Taste Pilots outdoor seating area too.
The back side of the sign for those that may be interested.
  • Page Number: 7
A new display on the light rig. Guessing this will have directions as to which way to exit (I heard that during peak times they will be using the big gate but during normal times sending guests back toward the entrance).
Looks like the rails and curb work are done in this area.
Time for a spin on the Fun Wheel to check out Cars Land.
  • Page Number: 8
A pan across the Cadillac Range from right to left.
  • Page Number: 9
Wow the fountain was on this afternoon.
  • Page Number: 10
The shack/building in Maters is moving along and they have started to install some of the light poles.
    A closer look
  • Page Number: 11
Flos now has quite a bit of stone work on the exterior.
Looks like the arch mesh is just about done and ready for concrete.
  • Page Number: 12
More buildings have been brought in for the Flying Tires. Guessing those are for the air system.
More curbs and foundations going in behind/next to the Flying Tires. Also noticed all the poles in the back. Guessing those are going to Maters since they have some in already. Lastly the fence is not pushed out and along the new road/walkway that went in.
  • Page Number: 13
The top of the radiator cap is looking nearly complete.
Work continues along the ride path.
  • Page Number: 14
    Tile work going on.
  • Page Number: 15
    A look at the Carthay
  • Page Number: 16
Scaffolding is going up along the back side of the mountain range. So guess they are starting to work on this side.
A closer look at where the rock work comes up to the ride track.
  • Page Number: 17
Strolled through Paradise Gardens, and stopped for a couple songs.
What I thought was going to be a sign or a light turns out to be the electrical connection for the lights on the awnings.
    A closer look.
  • Page Number: 18
Looks like they wired up the lights in the trees. I did not make it back after dark to check this out.
All the ticket booth posters were for the D23 Expo.
  • Page Number: 19
The Disney Visa windows are behind walls. Wonder if they are being removed or repurposed?
No visible progress on the Emporium.
    The wait times around 2:20pm
  • Page Number: 20
Still using the ramp as the entrance for Innoventions
    Just missed Monorail Blue.
With the towers gone getting pictures is much easier..
  • Page Number: 21
Noticed some equipment down in the front, guessing that came out of the bakery.
A closer look you can see the rebar for the concrete work around the fountain. As well as the bricks near the red car track.
Here you can see the new fountain in the foreground, its pump house off to the right, and a look down the parade route that looks to have been re-poured already.
  • Page Number: 22
Did not register last trip that a new vendor has taken over this kiosk. It is now Cheryl Fudge Fashion Camp
A look at the parking side of the Fantasy tower
  • Page Number: 23
Surprised there is still so much painting left to do. Seems like it is taking longer for this one than the others.
Strolled through the Adventure Lobbies to see if anything had been added.
I could not remember if I took a good set of photos so here is a look around. This is the center lobby area.
  • Page Number: 24
  • Page Number: 25
Moving on to the smaller one down the hallway.

I really like how this looks now. It really changed the feel of the area.
    Moving along over here..

The Fantasy Tower and E-Ticket pool area.
Off on the right is the Adventure Tower.
A closer look over Chef Goofys

Trees being moved around. Also what looks to be entrance stairs or a walkway going in to the right of it.
Where the old entrance used to be.
  • Page Number: 29
A closer look at another entrance area I am guessing.
The geyser was going off as I walked by.
  • Page Number: 30
All the Winnie the Pooh banners have been replaced with Summer ones
    A CHOC event next week.
Back to DCA. Here is a wide shot once you walk in the entrance.
  • Page Number: 31
Made a pass through Greetings since it only has a few weeks left.
The AP centers at both parks are now closed. You can get your pass at the ticket booth and your photo taken by any Photopass CM or you can submit online from home.
    The old AP area inside.
  • Page Number: 32
A couple random shots as I walked through.
  • Page Number: 33
Hmm.. not sure it ever registered with me that they spelled out California in the store too..
    The rest of the word...
  • Page Number: 34
Heading to the Backlot, another narrow walkway.
Has anyone been in the exit crowd for World of Color? With this walkway so narrow and the one in the Sunshine Plaza how bad is it?
  • Page Number: 35
The stroller parking is out in the street now.
There is a good size gap in the fence, but due to the strollers no way to get there to take a peak...
Surprised the temp wood is still around this one tree.
  • Page Number: 36
If you like the mural in the Little Mermaid they do have several versions of it for sale. Here is a nice framed one I saw at Off the Page.
Headed into Bugs Land next. Look who is out front now..
  • Page Number: 37
And down the path a bit...
  • Page Number: 38
Looks like all the characters have been re-used. All that remains backstage are the Cows.. wonder if they will find a new home.
The Lady Bug Boogie is closed again.
All the cars are removed. No walls up though.
  • Page Number: 39
The pump house is looking near complete.
Cars Land from the Blue Sky Cellar area.
  • Page Number: 40
  • Page Number: 41
Is this going to be a great view or what once it is done.
The court house at the end of the street.
  • Page Number: 42
A look over toward Buena Vista Street from an angle I usually do not take.
  • Page Number: 43
  • Page Number: 44
Yeah I know this shot does not convey much... but it is of the scaffolding going up between the back of the rock work and the parade building.
The detail work on Cars Land is going to be amazing, as little nuggets like these start to appear and be finished.
  • Page Number: 45
    Walked by the Dance Party.
A better shot showing the engine is gone. I originally asked where it was heading and several guests wrote in, it is heading to the Western Pacific Railroad Museum.
  • Page Number: 46
Kind of surprised this area is not behind walls still/again.
Back to Disneyland. Wonder when the display case in the Great Moments lobby will be updated.
  • Page Number: 47
A look at the work near the Bank from the Train Station.
Some shots of the Flag Retreat since I had a fairly unobstructed view.
  • Page Number: 48
  • Page Number: 49
    The wait times around 5:30pm
The tree house is closed for some work.
  • Page Number: 50
    the normal Adventureland mob.
The balcony is still closed. I overhead a couple of CMs and I guess the issue is with the railings. They are too low/short by some new set of safety rules. This makes has some credibility given the changes at Aladdin (the first few rows of the upper levels are now off limits) and the fact that nothing seems to be happening up there.
There were quite a few CMs counting the crowds at various shows throughout the day. Here is one of the two I saw during the Billies.
  • Page Number: 51
    Billy doing his rapper impression.
The AP center in Disneyland is closed too. Rumor is this will become the new location for the bakery.
  • Page Number: 52
The College Band doing their pre-parade sets.
    The wait times around 6:20.
  • Page Number: 53
Strolled by the Big Thunder Ranch.
  • Page Number: 54
The line for Roger Rabbit was out the door.
A couple random shots of the parade.
Found out the drum line is doing a set daily at noon in front of Small World (that was before I arrived.. so I have no pictures or video).
  • Page Number: 55
  • Page Number: 56
Elvis (Scot Bruce) was at the Tomorrowland Terrace stage.
    From his second set...
  • Page Number: 57
The College Band has one week left only.
    A brief video clip.
  • Page Number: 58
No real visible progress on the Matterhorn but you could hear them working inside all day.
Stopped by Small World to catch the Magic, the Memories, and You!
A crowd had gathered for the show, but definitely not a full or packed house.
  • Page Number: 59
A video clip of the finale. No fireworks tonight. Is that the new norm?
  • Page Number: 60
I walked by and Fantasmic was starting to pulled up a spot along the railing.
  • Page Number: 61
This back/side angle does afford some interesting shots you cannot get from the regular viewing areas.
  • Page Number: 62
  • Page Number: 63
  • Page Number: 64
To close with a couple shots from Magical.
