    Not sure if I mentioned this before.. there is a Captain America poster as the tram approaches the DD stop.
    And a D23 Expo one.

    The ticket booth nearest DCA has had one row of windows designated as Guest Relations to fill in while the main entrance work is on going.
    The walls have been pushed out to allow for work on the new temporary guest entrance pathway (my guess since you cannot see over the wall and nothing else popped to mind).

    The new Pan Pacific Auditorium inspired entrance opened this morning for Disney California Adventure.
    This is a rare shot... the Golden Gate hovering over the new entrance. According to the parks blog they will start to remove the Golden Gate this Sunday.

    Looking back. The new turnstiles seem seem a little wider (and more room between them? Also the guidemaps are now on the park side so you pick them up after passing through.

    The old turnstiles are gone, but the structure remains, for a few more days/weeks anyways.
    The outer gate still needs to go in.

    Made my way out to the area near the Little Mermaid just as the new Phineas and Ferbs Rockin Rollin Dance Party was making its way to the area.
    Wonder if this is a new car or just a new body and look to the old cruiser they used to have for the surf band?

    When you first enter the trail area you can pick up a map to guide you around and it has some activities to do and earn badges.

    The old PT Flea building was open and being used today.
    The Little Mermaid line was just outside its regular queue.

    Noticed what appears to be the pad for Fillmores. Notice the shape and the steel supports.
    The rockwork looks great as the scaffolding is removed you can really get a feel for it.

    Found it interesting there are no walls around the old guest relations area anymore.

    It appeared only Monorail Orange was running today and there was a long wait (a couple trains) for the monorail.
    Stopped by the Flag Pole to read the dedication plaque... since the parks anniversary is Sunday always good to refresh your memory.

    Buzz is showing some signs of wear.
    As we were heading to DCA for dinner the Soundsational parade was going by.

    Wonder how long that memories sign is going to be around? Till the end of the year or more?
    The sunsets on the mountain range are going to make for some great photos.
    While waiting for Mermaid noticed the detail work on the backstage gate.

    It is not a lot, but enough to add to the look. They could have easily left this as just a painted gate but instead added these medallions.

    Walked through Paradise Gardens as the sun was just about set.
    They are still working on the lighting and several sections were not lit. I saw a couple electricians in the area too.

    A CM warning guests that the turnstiles lock after each person so you just cannot run through them like the old ones. There is a slight pause.
