Since my last visit to the parks prices have gone up to get in. Here are the current prices.
Most of the scaffolding and tarps are down around the new entrance. We are only weeks away from the opening now, then the big projects begin as they work to create Buena Vista Street.
  • Page Number: 2
Visible progress on the Carthay as more scaffolding is up and the exterior framing is starting.
  • Page Number: 3
The pump house is moving along.
You can no longer walk down the parade route. To get to the Pier you have to walk through Condor Flats or circle through the Backlot/Bugsland.
  • Page Number: 4
No real signs of progress on the small walls as you enter the Backlot.
  • Page Number: 5
Still temporary wood around the one palm tree on the Backlot.
The Pixar Pals was going on.
  • Page Number: 6
Spotted this group up on Tower of Terror looking at Cars Land.
The other side of the construction.
The walls come right up to the emergency exit gate for Tough to Be a Bug
  • Page Number: 7
The pump house from back here.
    Now on to Cars Land.
Concrete work has begun on the center piece rockwork.
  • Page Number: 8
A pan across the tail fins starting with the one on the left when looking at them from the Blue Sky Cellar
  • Page Number: 9
  • Page Number: 10
A closer look at the rock work taking shape.
    Painting going on here
    A look down Route 66.
  • Page Number: 11
All signs of the Tortilla Tour are gone.
The cinder block wall backstage is being covered to blend in with the Wharf look. This will be the right hand wall as you enter Cars Land from the Wharf.
Rumor is they will be re-allocated the space of the former fortune cookie machine to a new merchandise location very soon.
  • Page Number: 12
Little Mermaid was closed due to a problem of some sort.
I skipped the Fun Wheel due the line stretching up to the top of the exit ramp for the non-swinging. So on to the dining area from ground level.
  • Page Number: 13
From the Swings. You can see the signage is up now.
Looking around the area looks ready to open. It is slated to officially open next Friday.
    A closer look.
  • Page Number: 14
Tables just waiting for their chairs.
  • Page Number: 15
The walls have been moved around slightly so you can now get to the exit of Goofys. This is also officially slated to open Friday.
  • Page Number: 16
A covered sign nearby, guessing for the restrooms.
I could not find a good angle to get a shot of the new sign.
  • Page Number: 17
    A look toward Goofys exit.
You could see into the new seating area and the Grill is in the background. What I kept calling a stage area looks to be just covered seating from this angle.
  • Page Number: 18
They were touching up the queue.
    A couple merchandise shots.
  • Page Number: 19
As I was walking by they were reopening the Little Mermaid, so I walked on.
  • Page Number: 20
The gang from Up is taking over for the Brother Bear crew on the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail.
  • Page Number: 21
The map shows where you can go to earn your badges.
  • Page Number: 22
  • Page Number: 23
The first new sign (off on the left).
I found his tracks near by.
  • Page Number: 24
    Next up Bravery.
  • Page Number: 25
There will be a new show in the theater starting tomorrow.
The park time schedule had the shows listed as 11:00am, 12:00, 1:00, 2:00, 3:30, 4:30
Back to the hunt for the badges..
  • Page Number: 26
The spirit cave was still the same.
Not sure if I ever pointed this out before... this is in the small water area outside the cave.
  • Page Number: 27
The slides were closed when I went by.
  • Page Number: 28
    The sixth and final badge.
  • Page Number: 29
The totems appeared to be the same as before.
A look in at the stage area.
  • Page Number: 30
  • Page Number: 31
Next stop for me was the Disneyland Hotel. This is the back side of the Frontier Tower (the towers have officially changed names)
As I came around the corner saw the geyser going off.. not the best shot but given where I was the best I could do. By the time I got around to the front it was done.
Some of the new temporary signs with the new tower names.
  • Page Number: 32
Still no signage on the building though.
This used to be the pool deck and walkway near the Neverland Pool.
  • Page Number: 33
They have cleared out most of the plants and concrete from around the old pool. This is the Adventure Tower side.
The Fantasy Tower is moving along slowly. Most of the new glass is now in.
A wider shot of the area so you can get a feel for it.
  • Page Number: 34
The Pirate ship is gone, but the croc has remained.. guessing his days are numbered too. Also looks like the new pool will retain the shape and size of the old one.
  • Page Number: 35
I like how there are different fonts for each tower.
The meeting rooms have all been renamed too.
  • Page Number: 36
  • Page Number: 37
The castle is gone. Wonder if the rest of the sign will be removed too.
  • Page Number: 38
Some booths/tents out near ESPN Zone.
  • Page Number: 39
Back to DCA. The army men were performing near the entrance.
This time the Fun Wheel line was shorter so went for a spin. The Grill looks ready to go.
  • Page Number: 40
So does the exterior of the Pizza place.
All the electrical work is covered up and the area looks to be done.
  • Page Number: 41
  • Page Number: 42
    A look out toward Maters
The walkway to Cars Land from the Wharf
Looks like the wall is being covered.
  • Page Number: 43
Here you can see the wood going on to make the wall match the buildings (this is the backside of the shot I had from the ground earlier).
Alot of ducts on the roof of Flos
Looks to be a new building on the far side of the Tires area before the construction trailers.
  • Page Number: 44
An awning on the gift shop.
A better shot of the rock work progress.
  • Page Number: 45
Back to the dining area. PTs roof has been tweaked to give it some texture.
The small stand has been painted to match. It does look to be a condiment station.
  • Page Number: 46
The rest of the Racers track has been surfaced/coated now.
Looks to be a roadway/pathway/walkway going in. Off to the right looks to be footers, probably for a wall along the walkway.
  • Page Number: 47
    A closer look at Maters
  • Page Number: 48
Time to head to Disneyland. Several of the Emporium doors were walled off as they are working on the main/front room of the store.
No visible progress on the rocket in Tomorrowland.
Notice the long monorail line. One just left, the platform is full, and it stretches down the ramp and around the first turn. This was partially due to only one monorail running (Blue).
  • Page Number: 49
Some more walls around the old ODV location in Frontierland.
The Golden Horseshoe exterior work is done.
  • Page Number: 50
The upper level is still closed though.
  • Page Number: 51
It has been a long time since I saw this set of Billies on a Friday.
  • Page Number: 52
    The wait times around 5:00pm
  • Page Number: 53
A quick trip through the Emporium. You can see the temporary walls lined with merchandise.
The rest of the store is open and untouched.
  • Page Number: 54
A closer look at the temp shelving.
  • Page Number: 55

During the finale Ron pulled this child out of the audience and let her conduct for a bit.
  • Page Number: 58
  • Page Number: 59
I had not noticed the check in cart for the birthdays also is selling snacks now.
    Random Star Tours merchandise shot.
  • Page Number: 60
    Next stop Toontown.
    Some fence repainting near Mickeys
  • Page Number: 61

    The wait times around 6pm.
The All American College Band performing on the parade route.

    Heading back to DCA.
There is a new Laserman show titled: R3CONF1GUR3D as part of ElecTRONica
  • Page Number: 68

Yeah I know you can not see anything.. was moving along and did not turn on the flash. But found it interesting that as you entered Bugs Land near Tower there was a CM with a sign for World of Color saying if you were heading to the Blue section to go this way and assuming if you wanted Yellow or Red they were sending you back around through Condor Flats.
  • Page Number: 72
Made my way out to the Pier and some of the lights were on for the new dining area.
Many others in the area were off due to World of Color going on behind me.
  • Page Number: 73
CMs were setting up ropes in the extended queue area.
  • Page Number: 74
Thought the hotel in the background was interesting.
    The sign was moving tonight.
  • Page Number: 75
    A short video clip.
    Random World of Color shot.
There was no line so hopped on Mermaid again.
  • Page Number: 76
The Mermaid building with Magical in the background (this is near the end when they are fighting over the color for the finale)
It would be nice to have the sound track playing out here since you have a great view of the show.
  • Page Number: 77
  • Page Number: 78
  • Page Number: 79
Random shot in the gift shop.
  • Page Number: 80
Spotted this kiosk on the way out (missed it earlier in the day)
Seems a little odd and bordering on tacky to me to have this out. There was also another one out near the AMC theater.
  • Page Number: 81
Two ads they were passing out as you entered the garage. Seemed rather poor to give an annual pass ad to someone who used an annual pass to park and had no one else in the car.
The time schedule features the college band.. right under the new parade.
  • Page Number: 82
The DCA maps have been updated to reflect the walkway closure.
Also noticed all the coming soon text is gone from the new dining area and Goofys.
