This page is to help you quickly jump through this picture set. Below you will see a listing of the pages and the captions on that page.

  • Page Number: 1
I was surprised the sign as you exit near the security tents was not switched over to advertise for Halloween yet.
Most of Glow Fest has been removed. But one of the drink stands is now in the Sunshine Plaza
  • Page Number: 2
The end of the Backlot has walls up at the end to complete the Red Car rail. So the only access to the Hyperion and Tower of Terror is through the new path by Bugs Land.
  • Page Number: 3
    They are repainting the Hyperion
    Some work going on.
Scaffolding was up on just the center section of the building. The outsides looked to be accessible from a moveable platform.
  • Page Number: 4
Here you can see where the walls are.
The facades are receiving some new paint too, wonder what will change, if anything.
  • Page Number: 5
    Mr Incredible out for pictures
  • Page Number: 6
Here you can see the walls from the side.
  • Page Number: 7
There are now two yellow lines on the ground for Glow Fest.
A closer look at the strip.
  • Page Number: 8
Moving around to the Little Mermaid building not much visible progress here.
Some general painting on the other side of the street, great to see!
This tube has been repainted (hard to tell with the lighting in this shot).
  • Page Number: 9
So the only one left is the first lift hill. Again the left two platforms for WoC were up.
    The fountain was on today.
  • Page Number: 10
The carts are all gone and this area is back to how it used to be.
    Screamin was a walkon
  • Page Number: 11
A look across the bay (which is still very brown)
  • Page Number: 12
From the Fun Wheel looking in. Looks like they were installing some equipment in the Mermaid building, there was a rigging machine visible.
  • Page Number: 13
Over to Cars Land, not much visible progress with Flos
But now there are columns as well as the wall forms in the tire pit.
A concrete pad on the other side of the street.
  • Page Number: 14
A peak into the show building, looks like interior elements are going up.
  • Page Number: 15
A lot of work at what will be the base for the large rock work that is going to be rising from this area.
An arch is taking shape, wonder if that is the entry way back into the building after the race? Or something for the queue (I could not tell where this is due to the lack of depth perception)
  • Page Number: 16
The steel structure for the rockwork is continuing to grow.
    Notice the worker for scale.
  • Page Number: 17
Wonder what all this is stacked up against the parade building.
No visible progress on the cones
No concrete yet in this area of the Mermaid building.
  • Page Number: 18
The duct work is slowly taking shape on the roof.
Trying to show the old and new paint, but with the lighting it is hard to tell.
  • Page Number: 19
    New...
    New...
    Old...
  • Page Number: 20
Trying to see if I could see anything in front of the rigging machine.. nope.
    The Hyperion in the distance.
Still some great green globs floating in the bay.
  • Page Number: 21
This surprised me.. this is the wall up around the old smoking area. They actually took the time to build it around the plants. Guess they are staying?
The lights have been rolled up on the far side.
The planter has been removed. Looks like prep work for the PT Flea building is under way. Guess that will be moved very early on in the process.
  • Page Number: 22
Some ground level shots of the Mermaid work
The label that makes me call that device a rigging machine... in case anyone was wondering (I do not know what it is but sounded good)
  • Page Number: 23
The rock work from the Wharf
Since this is the only walkway to the Hyperion, Tower, and Fliks it is now quite busy.
  • Page Number: 24
The nice new sitting area is now stroller parking for a few weeks
The wall for the red car extends almost to the courtyard by tower (remember where the rails ended).
  • Page Number: 25
The small gap in the walls to access the Hyperion.
  • Page Number: 26
The marker in the street for the Red Cars near Tower no longer has the date on it, they replaced it.
There are plenty of signs to guide you around.
Thought this was odd since it was as I was heading out of Bugs Land.
  • Page Number: 27
A better shot of the Glow Fest stripes.
  • Page Number: 28
    Over to Disneyland
Halloween has taken over the showcase

    The wait times around 2:50pm
Wow no real crowd watching the band.
  • Page Number: 33
    Still no sea gulls
Wonder what is going on here.. the green tarp is up and the benches were several feet away.
They were letting you walk right in the front of Haunted Mansion, no wait at all really.
  • Page Number: 34
The Street Party from the train...
    The Billys
    Flag Retreat.
  • Page Number: 35
Mickey and Minnie hanging out in front of the Train Station.
New prices at Taste Pilots. They now feature 1/3 lb Angus burgers.. which means everything went up. The basic burger is up from $8.49 to $9.49 and the Bleu Yonder went from $9.59 to $9.99.
  • Page Number: 36
A look at what $9.49 will get you now (well $8.78 after tax and annual pass discount vs $7.85 before). I will talk more in the geekspeaks but the burger itself was better, the bun was worse and fries were the same. (drink is not included in price)
A look at the steelwork that will eventually block out the convention center.
  • Page Number: 37
The rock work from the parade route.
A wider shot so you can see how it fits into the skyline.
  • Page Number: 38
Out in the bay they were preparing the fountains for World of Color
Even this low the wind was blowing the water a good distance.
    Screamin was down..
  • Page Number: 39
Only a few more weeks if you are a Maliboomer fan.
    More testing.
They are installing new more eco friendly toilets
  • Page Number: 40
The steel is slowly making its way around.
Swung through the Tower gift shop and was surprised by the lack of Tower merchandise. It seems every trip there is even less. Of course Vinymation is there, not sure how that fits into the theme at all.
  • Page Number: 41
There was a ton of Nightmare Before Christmas merchandise
    One area of Pirates
    Alice
  • Page Number: 42
Then this one small area with Tower stuff right by the door.
Cars Land rising in the distance, taken from the Hyperion.
  • Page Number: 43
Stopped by to see Aladdin before it goes dark for a while.
  • Page Number: 44
  • Page Number: 45
Glow Fest is now limited to just the Sunshine Plaza. There are two stage shows then the dance party which starts around 8:15ish.
The glow tables are still around
The drink stand was open for business
  • Page Number: 46
No more food trucks but the Churros stand was open.
The Backlot is back to its regular look

  • Page Number: 52
Back to Disneyland.. a second attempt at the windows.
  • Page Number: 53
