    Wow a line for the escalator, it just looked like a lot of people heading for it at once.
    I ended up walking to the parks to avoid the tram lines.
    Noticed the Downtown Disney directories are still out of date.

    A relatively new experiment. They are selling tickets to the parks directly at the turnstyles. You have to pay by credit card and the choices are limited. This has been running on select mornings to try and shorten the ticket booth lines.

    It was rather dark and rain was threatening (a little midst/drizzle on the walk over).
    There were some light rigs up, assuming for the New Years Eve celebration.
    Looks like the sign for the rental location is taking shape.

    The snack place was not open yet.
    They moved the smoking area back to under the Monorail track across from the Matterhorn.
    Too bad.. now you have to walk through it, which bothers me...

    Already a long wait for Pixie Hollow.
    The rain did not seem to slow the crowd.

    An Oregon webcast.. there were quite a few Rose Bowl guests (Ohio State and Oregon shirts).

    Out in the Small World Mall was another area for New Years eve.

    The webcast was either over or due to the weather heading for a dry location.

    The turkey was not out in the rain.
    Out in Critter Country the characters were under the overhangs, which made it fairly crowded in the area.

    The canoes were closed due to the weather and the CMs were standing out front of the attraction.
    The wait times around 11:22am.

    Over to DCA now. There was an LED board on the bridge.
    Again guessing for New Years Eve.
    More lights set up.

    Noticed they now have automated towel dispenses in the mens room near Whitewater Snacks.
    A Christmas tree in the spa area.
    Out to the Pier. The walls have been pushed back a little so its easier to walk around. A new drinking fountain and trash cans.

    The parade route walkway is open again, but still walls on both sides.
    A closer look at the new trashcans. Guessing they are blue since this is near the Little Mermaid.

    Water was pooling up fairly well in the area.
    There were some CMs out on the platform working.
    Also works in the viewing area.

    Looks like the poles are now being connected to each other and the central platform out at the swings.
    The rig in the back was partially up, and no workers in sight.

    Santa has headed back to the North Pole.. and I heard Santa Goofy was supposed to be around but I am guessing due to the weather no one was out.

    Pipes to be installed out where the back part of the Rustworthy used to be.

    They were still pouring concrete at the Little Mermaid site.
    The stairs are starting to be put in.

    Out at the Cars Land site this section of the foundation looks to be done.
    They were still moving dirt around the far side and pumping some concrete too.

    Back to the Little Mermaid site
    No real progress on the boardwalk, but all these L-backets look to be installed. Guessing the boards for the boardwalk will go on top of these?

    Still drilling holes and pumping concrete on the outskirts of Cars Land for the footers for the show building and rockwork.
    More tubs to be installed under the platform.

    Here you can see how the walls have been moved to open the walkway. The new planter area is still encircled though.

    Monsters was closed temporarily (it opened about 5 minutes after we arrived)
    Another stage for New Years Eve.

    We rode Monsters and I tried to get a picture, the video door has characters dressed for the season.
    Noticed some wires running from the control booth for the New Years event over to a pole.
    Followed them and it turns out it was just electrical.

    Stopped by Bugsland You can barely make out the hole as well as another construction wall on the right.
    Eventually this will go through to the gate by Tower of Terror.
    Walking up the recently re-opened parade route walkway.

    Noticed some lights on the Wharf bridge
    Again no signs but assuming it is for New Years

    Noticed quite a few railings waiting to be installed.
    Is this a new popcorn cart by Soarin? (Have to look in the archive.. it looked different to me).

    The characters were inside the Animation building due to the weather.

    The Laughing Stock Co were performing in the Horsehoe since it was Wed (the Billys are off)

    Heard there will be a new sign installed next year.
    The Tea Cups were closed, my guess is because of the weather.

    Stopped by the Tiki Room to close out the night.

    Noticed this light hanging over the exit area.
    Capped off the night with Believe in Holiday Magic.
    The snow did not fall. The blowers were on but nothing found its was to the street. Guess the rain messed it up.
