The left side (as you come down the escalators) of the tram stop is torn up and is being repaved..
Looks like a more robost surface is going in than just asphalt.
  • Page Number: 2
Since the left side is down due to the work there are only two tram stops open, both on the right. So there are signs up in an attempt to help the flow.
Here you can see the exit space and entrance lines (since it was early we had no problems at all)
    First stop Disneyland
  • Page Number: 3
There was quite a bit of confetti on the ground and buildings
Wonder if this was left over from Magical Saturday night or if there was something Sunday morning (we were there before 9am though)
Speaking of which, this is a great wait time board.. taken around 8:55am
  • Page Number: 4
I really enjoy walking the park when its peaceful, there are very few times of the day this happens.
First stop of the day was Peter Pan. It reopened several weeks ago, but due to the usually long waits I had not been on it yet.
  • Page Number: 5
I read that you can now comfortably fit a family of 4 onboard (and as luck would have it one went on as I was waiting in line)
  • Page Number: 6
Also I believe the extra cage under the lap bar(seen here above my knees) is new.. but its been so long (can anyone confirm this)
  • Page Number: 7
Well due to the relatively high speed and dark spaces no decent pictures came out.. here is one of the better ones
Same with this one.. probably the best that included characters
  • Page Number: 8
Next stop Snow White, which reopened last week if i remember correctly.
Due to the slower speed and brighter scenes the pictures came out slightly better
  • Page Number: 9
Nothing stood out as new or changed, things looked clean and bright though
  • Page Number: 10
  • Page Number: 11
A shot of the cars, I did not notice any significant changes (not sure if these were new or not, seemed the same to me)
  • Page Number: 12
Next up stopped by Mr. Toads due to there being no line.
  • Page Number: 13
    A look at Main Street
Out on the Island the dragons pit was open as they were working inside, so the front portion of the Island was off limits to guests.
There were two CMs standing around, I blieve to keep guests out of the area. I also spotted some contractors and techs heading below.

The line board as I was leaving, 9:53am.
Next stop DCA. The Blue Sky Cellar is closed for a week to recieve a new set of displays.
  • Page Number: 15
From what I hear they will focus on the World of Color show.
Kind of surprised no sign at the entrance.. just the exit and off to the side
What appears to be the old Cocina Cucamonga sign is now up on the side of the building.
  • Page Number: 16
    Out to the Pier now.
  • Page Number: 17
I think I figured out a good way to show up on the leaderboard on Toy Story... ride before any of the die hard gamers post a good score... bet this was overtaken within the hour, but it was cool to see my score as the top one of the day.

This tower seems to be moving along really slowly.
    Not much visible progress here
  • Page Number: 19
The Zephyr was not running for some reason. Winds seemed calm.
There are now Disney prizes for the Games.. (most seemed to be at the medium to large level not the basic, small ones)
  • Page Number: 20
    The smaller prizes
  • Page Number: 21
  • Page Number: 22
  • Page Number: 23
The rockwork near the Jumpin Jellyfish to hide the equipment tower looks greats.
Some cables that have been pulled to a concrete pad near the Fun wheel
Now some shots from the Fun Wheel
  • Page Number: 24
The trees are being boxed up and removed from the old Golden Dreams queue.
No real visible progress near the exit
  • Page Number: 25
This area looks about the same too
Noticed the boards were off the stairs.
A look over at the DVC wing
  • Page Number: 26
  • Page Number: 27
From a higher angle you can see some of the concrete has been removed near the exit to Golden Dreams
More trenches and conduit in the viewing area.
  • Page Number: 28
The last section of the original Disneyland parking lot is now closed off as the Timon lot is being torn up to make room for Carsland.
Most of the equipment that was in this area for World of Color is now gone/installed.
The structure on the far side of the lot is taking shape.
  • Page Number: 29
Several portable buildings have been brought in for the construction project.
Remember for even more construction shots visit the Construction Progress section tomorrow.
The trailers in the World of Color area
  • Page Number: 30
Kind of interesting how they are removing the asphalt.. sort of starting in the middle and working their way out.
One of the few remaining parking signs
Some work near the parade building
  • Page Number: 31
The Oranage Stinger only has a few days left.. before it closes down.
    The rocks from ground level..
Most of the panels I saw last week were gone, installed this week.
  • Page Number: 32
The trail was closed (even though the sign said open in the distance)
Hard to tell but there looked to be some scaffolding on the lift hill (the attraction was open though)
The DVC work at the Grand Californian is moving in the final stages as opening is only a few months away now.
  • Page Number: 33
A look at the pool area
    Tile work and more planters.
The large wood beams we spotted last trip have been installed
  • Page Number: 34
These appear to be real rocks (unlike the ones at DCA).
I close with a day time shot of the new lights near the tram stop by World of Disney.
